I've been sim racing for over 25 years. I started on Gran Turismo 1, using a controller, then picked up the Driving Force wheel and pedals for the PS2. Since then I've played every edition of the game. I'm happy to say I've graduated up to a Fanatec setup and I'm now playing Gran Turismo 7, with some Assetto Corsa and ACC, and other games as well. When I reach 500 subscribers, I'll be starting on iRacing again.

How About 3 Million Credits?
I usually go for the silver in time trials, but this batch included one in the x2014 Redbull Junior, which is one of my favourite cars. One Gold and one Silver is a pretty good haul of credits.

I started sim racing in 1999 on Gran Turismo. I've since played a lot of games and used a lot of wheels. I hope you enjoy this journey back in time to recount some of my adventures in the world of sim racing.

Ran a couple of the Dailies and had some unexpected luck, both good and bad. But altogether some really excellent clean races. Thank you to everyone who stops in for a look. Have an awesome day!

Shuzbut - Mork from Mork and Mindy.
Yes!!
How many miles are on that car any how
At the time of the video, there were 1400 kms on it.
Nice. Do you use any assistance
I use TC at 1 most of the time. That's it.
If you ever have the chance buy the Ferrari FXX K. Eligible in a bit of races and really fun to drive. Make sure to adjust the downforce a bit.
Is that one that comes into the Legend shop? I'll definitely have a look for it. Thanks!
The graphics in grand turismo 1 & 2 were spectacular at the time given the hardware it was on
Agreed. We didn't know any better back then. We could see the cars and track fine. What else did we need? :)
@Wolfe-Racing I still occasionally go back and play gt2 but I do recommend using an old crt tv as modern 4k just ruins it by sharpening up all the pixels in a bad way lol
@@kevinhansford3929 Good advice. I wonder if the thrift store has an old CRT tv. :)
Hey Love your videos. there's a few cars that work really well for Le Mans. Lancer Evo VI is great for gas mileage and Acceleration, Nissan GT 500 '08 is a great all rounder, and the Red bull X can do it with a single pit.
Thanks very much! :)
peak :)
Seemed like you redlined it often too
That feeling… I spent 6 hours over the course of three days on this test. It was hell. I know your exact mood after you got gold.
I change oil as soon as it says "normal" 😅
The rally cars in this game are so bad lol.
I also kinda suck at rally, so it's almost always a mess. 😆
@ nah they’re just bad lol. I pretty much avoid all off-road races on gt7. Not saying gt7 is bad just they got roads down and dirt they missed the mark.
@@zackkragel Ok, I thought it was just me. I'm really not a fan of dirt racing in GT7. It took me forever to get the gold in the dirt license test.
How did you get this interior view, I mean the brightness? When I Race in first person it’s all dark as night….
Hmmm... I haven't changed any brightness settings since setting up the PS5. It's just standard game brightness. Maybe your tv/monitor is set dark? Sorry, I'm not sure.
This is cool to know
Good racing man🤘keep up the good work on the videos
Thanks so much!
u need at least an oil change. I can guarantee that much
I had changed it right before the race. No lie. That's why it was so weird.
Did you end up putting a new engine?
Not yet. It was back to normal after the race. So weird.
Also those 4 corner turns on Dragon trail gardens for the apex’s it’s hit hit miss hit. If that helps.
Thanks for the info. I usually go in too fast and end up running around the outside, and just hit the last one.
@@Wolfe-Racing yea those turns are a game of patience
@ and realistically you can hit 3 of the four so you could hit the first, miss, hit, hit. But it is tricky
@@zackkragel I always try for the hit hit miss hit approach. It's a work in progress. Hehe.
Do you run in the cockpit view for immersion?
Mostly, yes. But it's what I'm used to, and the other views kinda mess me up.
The bmw one is easier to get the 1M, the one with the vulcan, not so much. I feel like i do much better with slower cars than faster cars. That might be the reason why i struggle with achieving better times in general. BMW i was constantly improving little by little untill i was facing a deadend for multiple laps in a row, i used the ghost from someone that was on 2nd place in the leaderboards, tried again and within 3 times i nearly improved 1 second trying to play catch up with the ghost and that gave me silver. This only worked because i was used to the track with that type of car, if i was given a much faster car, i would struggle with it. I improved a bit in the first turn after the timer starts running and the last sector when you go down on a zig-zag and then right (and then the long right turn to finish line), the turn to the right after the zig zag, managed to improve quite a bit there by not breaking and doing a perfect line, without loosing control. The track with the vulcan, i know it fairly reasonable, but the car does not allow me to adapt as easy. Sharp turns are ruining me here one way or another, everything else i seem to manage just fine. The rally one is the worst, struggled so much to achieve bronze it is redicolous that such an event even exists.
I know what you mean about hitting a deadend. For me, there are times when I'm taking a set of corners completely wrong, and don't even know it. Using a faster ghost is definitely the way to do it because it's easier to tell when you're braking early or late, or not getting on the gas fast enough. I have to agree on the rally time trial. I'm not good on dirt or snow to begin with because I don't know the driving style required to make the corners without losing speed and hitting walls. I don't know if I'll even get the bronze. For the Vulcan, smooth is fast. Feather the throttle through corners and ease it back in as you get the car straightened up. I use TC 1 in most cars to prevent the back end from becoming the front end so easily.
Same bro, I have parts for cars ill never own and like you parts ill never put on, and installing the parts from the tune shop even if the part is sitting in my garage. Its hot garbage and really needs to be addressed
Probably because you had a 1000 miles on the car...
It’s also on your radar lol
The spin at 22ish minute mark was from some random flying in off the brakes. Watch the replay you will see it. I saw em on your rear view camera on the car.
Haha! I just rewatched it. I hadn't seen that supersl0w torpedo coming at all. Either dude was seriously mad, or just totally missed his braking point. I use the radar, but was focusing on the chicane at the time. That would definitely explain the spin. 🤣
Congrats on P4🏆
Thank you! Considering I started in P4, I was happy with that result. :)
That is strange as hell. I some how under the impression your car is at prime condition when you goes into daily race or any national or manufacture race.
I'd like to be able to buy any tuning parts from the race menu and not just tires. I would also love to be able to sort by amount of vehicles owned in the used car selling list. Tired of scrolling though 400 cars to find one that I need to sell.
Yes and yes!
In a custom race, can we select what tyre the AI start on? Because thats something i would use a lot.
It's a bit nuts. You can create a lobby for online races and set the tires that can be used, but you can't in a custom race against AI. Definitely something that should be added.
I have one thing to correct. I just entered a race with the wrong tires on the car, had to change them, but didn't have to change them again to get into the next race. And when I left Sport and went to my garage, the tires were still the ones I put on for the race. This is potentially new? Either way, what I say in the video is no longer the case. If you change your tires before the race in order to get into the race, they stay on after the race. Thank you, Polyphony Digital! I didn't know this had changed.
Probably didn't help that you literally pinged it off the limiter for a whole few seconds mid corner there for a while... Shifting late up in rpms for prolonged periods it was gonna happen at some point
Hey Draken, I was in the first race in your stream (Arnax, Canadian livery 458) and we had a little battle in the tunnel turn after I got squeezed. You left me room, I think I left you room, thanks for racing clean. That race wasn't clean, the a*se in the Ford GT tried to kill me on the start/finish straight right in front of you, we then were again close in that tunnel turn, and I got slammed into in the turn after the long straight, ruining my race. I saw you again in the 6PM ET race, in that one it's you who got punted, good recovery man.
I remember you. And I remember seeing that GT trying to kill you. Thank you for the clean racing. It's so much more enjoyable to have close racing with cool people. Feel free to send me a friend request. I try to host lobbies on Sunday evenings and would love to have you in there if you can make it. :)
This might have gone better if I wasn't falling asleep in the chair. 🤣
You were on the rev limiter far too much. Im not sure if you keep up with oil changes in GT games but you should... Its my guess that you caused excessive heat by overworking that rev limiter and the engine finally just said 💩💥🔥😒
You can mirror decals just fyi. Makes it a bit easier when matching side to side
Yes indeed. Thanks!
Technical difficulties were here with you brother
Juuuuust noticed that there's no game volume. Sorry! But you get my soothing voice and squeeky 1990 GMC Suburban driver's seat. 🤣
Could be because you need to change your oil.
Guys stop sending misinformation ffs, I have a car with over 21000km (used for farming) and I have NEVER changed anything, everything is red in the garage but you just lose some Hp, it has NEVER exploded in a race
You're right. People have proved you can't blow up an engine by over revving it. Heck, the last Daily Race A proved it, with the NSX banging off the redline for half the main straight. 🤣 PD made it seem as if the oil and engine life are somehow relevant and important. As you say, you lose about 2 hp when the oil gets bad. Maybe a couple more. That's it. Kinda lame, actually.
@@Wolfe-RacingTrue. you can lose more hp if the engine starts to wear out too but it never explodes during a race, my Tomahawk X with both oil and engine at critical has lost around 200hp, on a normal car it would be much less probably Tbh I'm not even sure if it actually matters while BOP is active, I've never tested it and since my fully broken car is the Tomahawk I don't know if I can test it, but I'll probably try one day for curiosity, I wanna try by myself because with all these misinformation I don't trust much people's takes
@@nyanv4n1ll4_4 That's good info to have. If I host lobbies again on Sunday, I'll put out a message to the Community to let everyone know. If you join, let me know and I'll set up one of the races to allow for the Tomahawk. Run it once with yours and once with a rented one as a test. And I get you on the misinformation. I thought it was related to engine and oil life, like so many others, until this happened and I did some checking. I blame PD though, as the way it's worded gives the impression that oil and engine wear are related. They never actually state that, but it's well word-smithed to give the idea.
May be cracked your sump driving over those big apex. No idea if that senario is written into GT7. 😂
I think that's the most likely reason I've seen yet. 😆
@@Wolfe-Racing 🤣👍🤜🤛
PD has given up on GT7
Oh so free car and content updates is giving up now?
@@Modi_ a van… and another evo which probably is really a model from a previous game so didn’t cost them much work. And another gtr. Not really new content. So yes, they’ve given up. I’m not sure if they have something in the works like GT8 or a gran turismo sport 2.
@@zackkragel every single model is new in this update, the gtr is significant as its the final model year of the r35 that will ever be released, and who doesnt like goofy shit like vans, gran turismo has always had minivans/kei cars/normal commuter cars and thats a big part of the games charm.
Disagree hard
@@Frankenslide you’re entitled to disagree… you’d be wrong but you’re entitled to it lol
That AI drivers are actually named after former Gran Turismo World Series champions and GT UA-camrs. Also, there is at least one female driver that I remember coming across. She’s and Australian sim racer.
Very cool. I knew about the World Series champions, but not the youtubers. Thanks!
Try holding the breaks next time mate 😂
What's the fun in that? ;) Actually, I was just so disgusted with how the races were going, I didn't really care. You can't see my reaction in the short, but it's clear on my face how I felt at that moment.
Max power and over revving your engine!!! That's probably it!!!
Yes, A real constructive critique of the daily races, instead of some pointless and fruitless rant. Well done man 👍
Thank you.
Give us big money races like they used to have in older gran turismo. It would be nice to name a few mill per race for the super rare cars.
To give you a short answer: NO. Polyphony Digital never abandoned GT7. They never gave up on that game.
Click bait
A fair comment. I changed the title and the thumbnail to make it more accurate. Didn't mean to mislead. Cheers.
