There is like maybe Freddie Mercury & 2 other super group influences in that tight number, hahah Love it ! I think, Taylor has unleashed a fresh "unbridled" 90's multi layered sound - it's like plates being hurled at the wall - cracking fury & angst !
Good song and I saw Taylor cover the Freddie Mercury vocal exercises recently and there is a lot more to him than 1 song with the Foos. Also his drumming at MK was the best I have seen him play. With regards to the drumming on this song. I agree it is fairly simple and stripped down but I like the way he uses the rims of the drums and fits in perfectly with what is being played. Some songs require accompaniment and that is what he is doing here. This is not a song where the drummer will impress but bearing all that in mind I think it is nicely played.
