      Thank you glad you liked it. I play a lot with headphones on and I really like it better that way. A pair of beyerdynamic DT 770 pro sounds really good. A pair of bigger monitors would sound a bit better than the pair of 3.5 presonus ones I have if Id want more realistic, but I really can't complain about the sound I get from those either. It is ofc a different thing than blasting my amp trough a speaker but I would not want to do that anyways, too loud =D

      Thank you, glad if they are of assistance. I mainly use humbuckers, but I do have modified them so I can split the coils and get less output and more of a single coil sound. the modification really gives me a variety of tones from one guitar. I am going to make a video about how the modifications sound when I get around to it, I'll post the link to the video here also when I do.

    Awesome. I'm looking forward to part 2 tomorrow! Not sure if I'll be home, but will for sure check in to watch if I am or see part 2 later. Anyways, When I got back home today, I soldered the wiring and pots to the 2 circuit boards I told you about during the stream. The Muff #49 sounds really good and loud! And it has no diodes, man its a crazy but simple circuit. And the 22/7 ( I was wrong about it being a tone bender variant, it's another big muff variant. I got it mixed up with the retro channel which is next up to build later this week) It's really nice sounding too, but the only problem is the output level is low on the 22/7, almost or exactly the same level as the amp. I've had this happen before and it's still a mystery to me what causes this. What could be the culprit? I cleaned and scraped the tracks, so there were no bridges that I could find. I haven't re-flowed the solder yet because my day is getting late. I checked the pots with my meter and they seem to be within range. There is a dpdt on/off/on switch also, all 3 channels work. I checked to see if anything was loose and glanced over the cap direction and values. All looked good. I'm baffled, It just has no loudness. What do you think?

    • @dewil7313
      @dewil7313 17 днів тому

      Thanks. I did mod it a bit so and I corrected a mistake so it sounds as it should and also really wild with the simple mod. I have not built the 22/7 pedal so I can't say about the volume, if there's no drop I'm usually just fine. I always check the cables I use first if I have trouble. That said I did check a few demos and it does not seem to get that loud. Same time tomorrow =D

      @@dewil7313 Damn, That's what it sounds like exactly. I thought the "warble".sound (I didn't mention) that is obvious in the pedal demo by Dave C was coming from something I did. Needless to say, I'll be pulling the IC, and de-soldering the pots and caps and will be tossing the board and resistors tomorrow. haha... The Muff #49 though is pretty awesome. I'll be boxing that one

    • @robertwayne6537
      @robertwayne6537 17 днів тому

      I have to retract my statement about the 22/7 circuit. I went to de-solder for parts and saw that I had the 3.3nf soldered in incorrect. It's actually a very good sounding muff. Not a loud one, but a nice sounding. The 3 toggle settings are pleasing as well, especially the normal and scoop. So for anyone reading, if you want to build this muff, I say go for it!

    Thanks for the video! Could I capture using my Behringer QX1002USB mixer (as the interface) or do I need some special hardware? I also have a Laney IRT pulse that has an interface and a reamp function. Do you think I will have enough stuff? Thanks

    • @dewil7313
      @dewil7313 17 днів тому

      I suppose the Behringer mixer works as an audio interface, if so I think you should have enough stuff. As long as you can make the connections required by the software you are good to go. Like said here the re-amp box ain't necessary but does make things much easier. There's also free software that can do captures in case you don't have the Tonex version needed for capturing. Try it out and have fun and do avoid feedback loops =D

Its a build your own kit type, and it looked pretty much identical. Same ICs, same electrolytics. I didn't look too much into the specifics of the rest, but the parts count looked to be exact or near exact, even the single ceramic disc capacitor. Only difference is the byo was a 3 knobber. I generally stay away from those circuits since the parts are hard to find, there's better options and you don't have to do any weird options for powering them up since they are not the regular +9v. I'll still check my transistors and see if they would suite this one, I do doubt it tho.

I added a noise gate and that definitely cut out 90% of it but there's still some coming through and if I can't find a way to completely eliminate the rattle and hum, then I'm gonna try this out and see how it sounds. Probably will, anyway, just because I'm curious. Thank you so very much for your help! I have the same microphone, the audio tech technica at2020. It's a great microphone!

    i thought you were going to go through FX Sends & Returns.. what if i want to use a pedal at the middle of the signal chain ? let’s say.. a pitch shifter, or chorus/vibrato. for eg .. Signal chain : -> Compressor and booster in AT5 , -> OUT to the external physical pedals, -> back IN to AT5 for the Amp/Cab, delay, reverb . cheers ;)

    • @dewil7313
      @dewil7313 2 місяці тому

      Yeah I just go straight to my pedals and then to a interface input here. You can do that but you'd need to run two instances of amplitube (or a channel with desired effects for comp and bppst). I would run the channel with just the amplitubes compressor and booster engaged to my hardware pedals and then back to my interface from those to another channel with another ampitube with the amp cab and other stuff. One thing to pay attention to is to not create a feedback loop. But yeah that is totally doable with some routing. You ofc need an interface with multiple outputs and inputs. I hope that answers your question. I might make a video of this and do some weird stuff just for fun. I'll add a link here if I do ;) Thanks.

I actually think yours sounds better than mine and i wonder how it would sound through an actual amp. Good video. P.S. Mine sounds very aggressive very far from a fuzz face type of sound.
