W124 1987 300D Rear Window Repair (fix
This Video shows the issue and repair made to the inoperable rear window in my 1987 W124 Mercedes Benz E300D. Ultimately, the issue was that the wires in the door hinge area were fatigued and broken.

my 1994 e320 stereo was sounding way out of balance. the sounds tended be too strong on the treble and dominant in the front dash speakers. Speaker impedance m tters!

OM606 1995 Mercedes Benz E300 Diesel EGR Fix and Delete

This was a temporary fix for the EGR valve that effectively "deletes" dirty exhaust air from entering the intake. Motor is OM606, naturally aspirated 1995 w124 chassis Mercedes Benz

This was the procedure I used to clear the SRS light on my 1990 e34 BMW 525i. Please note this took me a few tries to get the 5 second timing correct.

What radio head unit do you have? Also would the message center be able to work in the xlt trim level?
My stereo is a double din jvc media receiver. My understanding is that adding the comm module to an explorer that wasn't originally equipped is a real PITA.
@@bokm9606 Thanks for the response! Also, I may take on that task at some point, the comm module is cheap enough to take the gamble if im willing to put in the work. I use my explorer as a daily and road trip car so the miles till empty seems useful
Hey, any chance you could post your stl file for the button on thingiverse or something? I have an 87 and the fader just broke entirely and I was looking up how to bypass it. Thanks for making the video! To make a smooth finish for the 3d print, look up acetone vapor. That's what I do for my 3d print to make them smooth.

The STL file is posted to GrabCAD. You should be able to search "W124 fader switch blank" at GrabCAD and find it.

Thanks a lot for this video. Good idea on the switch. I had read on a forum years ago about this process and saved that page somewhere. Recently i changed my steering wheel and the SRS came on and wont go away after plugging everything back in correctly. I have an e36 92 325I (OBD1) that this applies to. Cheers!

It took me a few tries to get timing right
I have a '91 525i (build date 10/90) and I also had this issue when I replaced the dash bulbs in the cluster. I found on my car I had to turn the key to position 1 (acc), not position 2 (on) to get this to work on my car. 90-91 was a transition period for the 525i for engines and SRS electronics IIRC.
Try it on all pro or legendary difficulty

Hello I own a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire ( Its made by Mercedes SLK ) and I lost one of my Transponder chips from my flip keys I had taken the last working key transponder out of my working key so I can use any cut key I bought a cheap remote locking VW type flip key remote locking system similar to yours . I wanted to know if this will work on my car so I could either use the factory key or the aftermarket system. Could you advise ?? thanks

Just an update did you get good remote range by adding it on next to the top of the trunk? Im thinking of adding it also in the trunk. They say to put the module next to the vacuum door pump

It took me about 5 tries to get the timing right.
@@bokm9606 after about 7 times, no luck, i used the same trick, wire, switch, its annoying. no modern tester can disable the error, they see it, but cant disable . WT actuall F?!

@@bokm9606 Yes, i did, i read it that the timing is like crucial, but its like to the milisecond?! I had my watch, i did it in every 5 second mark.
@@RCmadness888 it took me several tries. I wonder if taking the key all the out before attempting has something to do with success of lack of success. Maybe also vary the timing of how quickly you turn the key to the on position...? I know that it felt like i did the same process over and over but eventually it worked.

@@rayfordcadle9160 on my unit, (FICBOX Universal Car Door Lock Vehicle Keyless Entry System Auto Remote Central Kit with Control Box ) two wires were connected to the green wire in the car. After cutting the green wire near the pneumatic box under the seat, the WHITE wire from the keyless module was connected to end of the green wire leading directly into the the pneumatic box. The ORANGE/BLACK wire from the keyless entry module then connected to the end of the green wire leading AWAY from the pneumatic box under the seat. ALSO, two wires from the keyless entry module needed to be shorted together - on my box, these wires were ORANGE and WHITE/BLACK. @@bokm9606 Hello Pete, i had purchase the same keyless entry as you have use on your mercedes and follow your guide but i have no luck with mine, i did exactly the way you explain just that i left with 2 wire which is a yellow and a yellow and black unconnected. I thank you for your help.
