I have this drone. Its fun and easy to fly. You think flying this thing is fun? You should look into getting the DJI avata 2, its an fpv drone and you wear goggles to fly it, you see what the drone camera sees through your own eyes. Its flying like a bird but even more fun. Strongly recommend you give it a try.

My father worked at Mooers Motor Car Co. for many years. "Mooers Motor" was a Packard dealership in Richmond, VA. My father loved Packards, and he taught me to love them too. When Packard closed in 1956, I was three years old. My father took me on a ride to deliver one of the very last new Packards sold in central Virginia. We drove the Packard from Richmond to Smithfield, Va, which was a little over 70 miles away. The car was a mid-century masterpiece. The exterior colors were a light green or teal color and white. I cannot remember if the metal trim on the side of the car was chrome or gold colored. I just remember that the trim was very shiny. The interior upholstery matched the exterior colors. I was fascinated by the little gearshift box attached to the steering column. The new Packard had been bought by an executive in the famous Smithfield Ham Company. I remember that he was a tall, balding man in a suit. We picked up the car the balding man had traded in and came home. It was a long drive back. I sensed that my father had brought me along, because he wanted company. He also knew that I would have a special memory if it didn't fade out of my child's mind.

Thoroughly enjoyed this video, takes me back to my 1600 back in the early 70s. Greetings from Australia! Strictly speaking, the MGA doesn't have a "crash gearbox", which is a gearbox without any synchromesh at all. I'd describe it as a car with synchro on 2nd, 3rd and 4th. But, hey, what's in a name?

You know what's funny is back in 1992 when I was an automotive intern working at the local Chevy dealership I was assigned to primarily work on used car trade-ins. One of the other guys who was the same age as me was assigned a late seventies or early 80s Ford F100 to bring into the shop to check out for the used car department and I was assigned a miserable little late 80s Hyundai Excel. When I started that little piece of shit it started billowing plumes of white smoke, so I knew it was going to have a bad cylinder head gasket or cylinder head practically right off the bat. In the meantime, he had tried to start and move the truck. I heard the truck start, and then I heard him release the parking brake, and then I heard a bunch of grinding sounds. He was trying to put the truck into "drive." He jumped out and was all upset complaining about not wanting to have to replace the transmission. I asked him if he wanted to swap, and he eagerly took me up on my offer. I hopped into the truck, put it in first gear, eased off the clutch, and drove away. He was pissed! Later in the shop, he asked me how I got it to move. I knew right away that it was a three on the tree. He had never heard of that before or seen one before. So I ended up getting the cool old truck, and he got stuck yanking the engine on that Hyundai. The reason I knew what a three on the tree was is because my cousin Ronnie who although my cousin was my mother's age, had an old Chevy II with a straight 6 and a column mounted 3-speed, and I used to watch him shift gears all the time when we rode in that car.

When I was 14 years old my dad had a 65' inline 6 Ford step side with three on the tree. He said I would not be allowed to go get my license unless I could drive a standard transmission. Trying to push that cabled clutch to the floor took all the leg stretch and strength I could muster. When I turned 16 he gave me that truck to use until I could buy my own ride. It had an am/ fm no track tube radio installed. Our house was three miles from my high school. In the winter the tube radio wouldn't come on until I was halfway to school because those tubes had to heat up to receive reception. I miss that old Ford. That inline 6 was a damn good engine. My dad and his work buddy rebuilt the engine and bored it out and it would burn rubber when you popped the clutch
