They didn’t say that we wouldn’t be getting a new zone, but I’m hoping that we get a good mix of both 🤞🏻 I would also really like to see some more falinesti story! I feel like they set up the story for it and then didn’t take it anywhere just yet.

@@lordj805 I can’t remember for sure, but I think I let him die on one character and he still makes it out! He appears in the high isle chapter for everyone too so I’m pretty sure that’s the case. That would be bad if he died for sure!!

@@emilypumpkinseller I think that you could be right. When I was filming my walk through summerset, I didn’t see the little crabs. Now that you mention it, it does look more like Khenarthi’s Roost! Maybe we will be there for the prologue to Black Marsh? That is where we met Raz after all!

I don’t know if it’s a season pass like other games. It sounds like they are just releasing content on a different timeline!

@@ACamaroGuy I mean it sounds like they are taking a new direction based on the letter! Plus they always nerf and change things, that’s any game. I’m still positive about the changes and am excited to learn more!

@@MoogleMom I know 2 billion sounds like a lot, but there’s so many people involved I can imagine that the overall profit is much lower. But, I honestly think we may even get the same amount of content, if not more this way. They have new content in the works, Matt confirmed that in his letter. Plus, they used to do this until 2014 I believe, so the game started out doing this too! I don’t think it’s a bad thing ☺️.

@@Nessaeria No new chapter releases didn't cost in the realm of 2 billion lol. I've been here since launch so I can tell you what they did and how it is not the same plan Firor has going forward. Game released with the massive base game, after the average playable time to complete/replay that content was done they added more. We are not going to continue to get the same amount of content because of math. The player base has declined, less money (even though it averages 15 mil monthly now, still pretty good. source: the recent Microsoft data "leaks") and the game is ten years old with a years older engine (Heroengine). They had to jump though hoops freeing up enough memory (my source for this:Firor himself) just to add the Arcanist class. Even if the profit was not mismanaged and being spent on other projects, wages and corprorate bonuses, this game still faces the tech/server/memory barriers. Was Cryodiil performance fixed when they slowed the release cadence? No. And now Firor is using words like "bite sized content' and you think we will be getting "more"?

I don’t think that’s true, the door hasn’t flown off the Bethesda plane ✈️! They are a company that has to make money so it’s in their benefit to make the players happy. I think they realized that change was needed and I’m hoping good comes from it. We shall see!

I will say that I was pretty shocked by what happened to Nefas and I’m glad that he shared. But I don’t think that the game is going into maintenance mode. They are a company and do have to make money. I’m not saying they are perfect but I doubt that they aren’t making new content and changes!

I mean I think it will be more than that though. No one is going to buy just the veteran versions of overlands. Obviously they do have to make money, but I think even as a business move it has to make sense for the consumer!

@@Nessaeria Another thing that could be mentioned is that as far as i am aware Solstheim is barely even populated by this time, just the skaal, some werewolves and the old dragon priest temple, the harbor doesnt come around til late third era

Ooo very interesting! I also wondered about that too, if they knew people would figure it out based on the code name. But they do also like dropping hints, so it could be part of it. Magma could also be a reference to Y’ffelon and the volcanic vents, so maybe just harder to figure out. T could also be Thornmarsh! Thanks for sharing 🙌🏻

@@Nessaeria have players meet up at X place and Y time. Give them a theme and you basically judge them on how cool or close to the theme looks like. In WoW they were called "transmog competitions".

Yes! Writs are so fast I try to do at least a couple characters a day if I can. Alinor is great, but Leyawin and Skingrad are my favorites!

@@V3ntilator I think you can travel to the wayshrine on the island! If not, there should be a navigator at the docks in Khenarthi’s Roost you can use. You can also check guild listings and travel to a player that way (or ask someone to taxi you - people are usually nice about it)!

​@@Nessaeria Thank you. I finally figured it out. I managed to get to Glenumbra, and there are are 4 boats there. The guy standing alone offers a direct trip to Bethnik. When i came there a shrine unlocked for fast travel. Happy new year!

@@V3ntilatorno problem! I def forgot to mention the harbors, I know I had such a hard time finding everything when I was new to this event!

@@Nessaeria Harbors is one thing, but you still need to find correct harbots where the boats can travel from to needed place. I completed it now, but required a lot of more time to find the last locations and i had to manually travel twice over a map too. At least i unlocked lots of Wayshrines a long the way, and took some bonus trips with boats to unlock more fast travels. I used some of your map guides too btw, but i had to figure out how to get there. ;)

@V3ntilator yes they definitely make it harder than it needs to be! I also totally meant stros mkai, not khenarthi’s roost 🤦🏻‍♀️. Next year I will have to add a how to travel section so it’s easier!

I don’t think they will! It sounds like they already have a couple of bigger zone releases planned and even in the future, they will release new zones just in smaller chunks. So I’m hoping that will continue to be the case!
