White Oak Cut On Wood-Mizer LT50 #0016 #wrightcustomtimberandarms #wv
There is a lot that innocent people who doesn't deserve any shit that some ps***os caused deserve...
Congratulations! That looks like a nice machine. ❤
Congratulations on your mill its extremely nice but that surging engine at idle would drive me crazy.
Man that's one annoying surge at idle
I took a nap while you made that cut…holy crap
The brush won't go to waste, you can use it to brush off your clothes.
you got to get content
How are you liking the idry? Has it been a money maker? Im wanting to pull the trigger on getting one soon
You video comes across as a prima donna. A lot of waisted time so everyone can see your nice equipment and property. For someone like me, I could care less about your crap you own. I came to watch a sawmill video.
Them are some nice looking clamps.
Man, need to kick the speed up on that bad boy!!
Dado is a groove against the grain. Rabbit is a groove with the grain
That one there sir is a rabbit
The ears
Looking forward to some upcoming videos 👍🏼
Why must you always break things Jeff????
tossed that push stick day I got my PCS
lol damn while i do take more chances now as well, its still gonna be $100 a pop
I’d like to have an idry… Just can’t justify the price for one. We don’t have much call for kiln dried lumber. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations !!
What type of coolant do you use ? I have a lot 40 diesel and I’m not sure what coolant should I use
Are you talking about coolant for the engine? We have a gas engine and it is air cooled. I am unsure about engine coolant for a diesel engine but either the owners manual or Wood-Mizer would be able to answer that question for you. Hope that helps. Thanks!!!
Do you always run your hand past the blade like that?
We try and do dangerous things as safely as we can with the understanding that often doing things the "textbook" way is not always possible. Thanks.
the blade isnt going anywhere. this a a simple rip cut. his hand is fine.
With all the windy weather you all be having up there, there is probably plenty of firewood to be gathered. Family time is already great, especially if you can get them to work during family time…😂😂😂 Good job, thanks for sharing. Take care
We will be gathering up a lot that fell down for firewood...family time for us usually revolves around some type of work. Hope you are well...
After todays weather again you might have some more firewood. Was super windy again here.
Very true...our electric is out frequently due to the area we live in. We have a house generator which has proved to be worth its weight in gold. Hope you all are fairing well with all this crazy wind we have been having!!!
I heard you all got a lot of wind. My father in law lives outside of Parkersburg and he’s was with out power from Saturday to Monday afternoon.
We had some serious wind. We were really lucky to only have had the one tree do damage. Other people were not so lucky. Did you get any wind over your way?
Nighttime milling, you must be trying to get them beams finished up…
We milled for basically two days straight to get that job completed. Some late nights to accomplish that job. Thanks!!!
The wind was roaring on the ridges last night here in Gilmer, I figured we’d lose utility power but didn’t. We installed a whole home automatic generator in 2018, & are looking to do solar in the future as well.
We also have an automatic generator and don't know what we would do without it...it's been a life saver! You up in Gilmer county? Did you guys get any weather up your way?
@@WrightCustomTimberandArmsYep, about 10 minutes outside of Glenville. Let me know if you’re ever up this way.
More nice sawing what are large cants for?
This was a different type job for us. The customer wanted cants cut to specific dimensions that would be used to support engine parts. One of the engine parts weighed 20,000 lbs. The engines were so tall they had scafolding built around them so people could work on them. I had never seen anything like what he talked about until he showed me pictures of the engines. Appreciate the comment...hope you are well. Thanks!!!
nice video Jeff.
Thanks...we appreciate that. When we are not at our "9-5" jobs we are cutting wood and building projects for people. Hope you are well...
I wish my friends thought sawing was boring,I'd get alot more done maybe even do a video.
I guess that's why they say "Different Strokes For Different Folks"...
I suppose they don’t like openings box of cracker jacks either ? Just like cracker jacks there is always a price waiting you. Them some big beams. Good job. Thanks for sharing, take care.
Mr.Dave you forgot one !!! Golfing 😂😂😂 knock a little white ball ten thousand feet away and then go walking up to it just to smack it again 😂
These beams were a custom order for a customer who does engine repair...Was a pretty big order that we were happy to fill. Appreciate the comment. Thanks!!!
That was a VERY nice log. Nice logs like that are soooo boring. Yes, I'm being sarcastic. Good video
Milling is a very relaxing thing and every log I mill I learn something new...Appreciate the comment...Thanks!!!
Based on the title, you need better friends. I'll bet that they think snowmobiling, boating and fishing is fun.
I was once told its easier to turn a customer into a friend than a friend into a customer...Guess there is some truth in that.
@@WrightCustomTimberandArms I used to have LOTS of friends..............until I ran out of money.
I use an impact drill and a 3" tile removal blade and debark every log. Just the dirt in the bark will kill the blade, only slower. Brent
I need to get back to using my de-barker...I got lazy and it has cost me recently. Appreciate the comment and I enjoy your videos. Thanks!!!
You gonna bent the bed towing the mill like that. Ground rail is all rusted. Clean it up or you gonna burn pump electric motor pretty fast
And something is wrong with the engine governor.
We have been working on the issue with Wood-Mizer. It is some better but still needs work. Thanks!!!
Dang now that will give you an attitude real quick 🤯 I’m like old man in the saw, I couldn’t see if you was using your debarker or not. That’s one thing i constantly use now after a few brand new blade killed in the first or second run. Thanks for sharing. Take care
I will be going back to using the de-barker all the time now...just got lazy I guess and there is always a price for that. Appreciate the comment. Thanks!!!
There ain’t nothing daw about a sawmill blade to human skin 😂😂😂 What sharpener do you have ? Thanks for sharing
I don't have a sharpener right now...That is something I am considering getting. I have started to research them but am not sure what one I need. Time to watch more videos of blade sharpening I guess.
Bummer been there done that.
I have hit metal objects like nail and have even hit a few bullets. This is the first rock I have hit that was embedded in the bark on the log. Appreciate the comment...Thanks!!!
Good video/ bad results. I didn't notice if you were running your de-barker.
Soooo. I have gotten lazy about running my de-barker. I need to get back to doing that. My only issue with running the de-barker is that it feels like I am running the mill with the brakes on. Do you always run your de-barker? Thanks!!!
@@WrightCustomTimberandArms I ALWAYS use the de-barker........except when I don't. If the logs look REALLY clean I don't turn it on; otherwise it's on.
Bummer ☹️ It was looking good until then.
I never hit anything with a blade at the end of its life...it's always at the beginning. Appreciate the comment...hope you are well. Thanks...
Love that mill,great video
Thanks...Appreciate the comment.
Hey! just found your channel while looking at vids on Woodmizers. Always happy to see someone from WV. How far are you from Glenville?
We are located in Roane Country. I am about 60 miles from Glenville area so not too far away. Thanks for checking out our channel.
Awesome saw man!!!
Thank You...We really like it. Appreciate the comment!!!
Why didn't you show us the woodgrain...at all? That's what I'm here for.
I appreciate the comment. In future videos I will be sure to do closeups of the woodgrain on the lumber I am milling. Thank You!!!
good work! it may be just my olde eyes, but the feed speed and return speed seems set a tad high
I have tried to adjust my return speed and I can't find a way to adjust it at all. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!!!
without knowing exactly how the feed is driven, this is just a guess - it appears to be hydraulically controlled - the lever is pressed and the speed ramps up dramatically in either direction - if so, there will be either a flow control valve inline to the hydraulic motor that can be throttled - or, if a valve was never put in by wood-mizer, one can be added - probably best by wood-mizer technicians your best move is to contact wood-mizer and tell them what you want the machine to do, or not do good luck my background, industrial maintenance technician - i even worked for a wood-mizer sawmill in kentucky for a couple months in 2002 - but never saw this issue from what i've seen in your videos, this should be resolvable
That's what I was thinking
closed captioning please, it really makes up for not hearing well
I am unsure of how to do this but I will research it and try. I appreciate the comment and feedback. Thank You!!!
where did you get the neat trailer hitch knob that fits on your forklift tine?
www.amazon.com/Hydraker-Forklift-Receiver-Trailer-Adapter/dp/B07XXQ37BL/ref=sr_1_5?crid=24KJ02MTMYO87&keywords=tractor+fork+hitch&qid=1678450768&sprefix=tractor+fork+%2Caps%2C152&sr=8-5 I got this on Amazon. It was something that I saw on another persons channel. I included the link for it and its currently selling for $65.99 I like it and use it all the time...so far so good for me.
Good video thanks for taking us along. My turner is a peavey. When I had a hydraulic sawmill I used the two plane clamp a lot to turn logs to keep from marring the sawed sides. Brent
I do struggle with the turner at times especially when I get the bark off the tree. You for sure have to be more careful. Thanks for the comment...
Hey by the way do you watch Lug&tugsawmill That’s the way they have it listed. There in wva also
I don't believe I do but I will subscribe. I like to give support to other small channels and I think it can only help us in the end to grow or channels. I will check them out...thanks for the info!!!
That looks like a nice wood splitter.
We think so...we had a single stage splitter that we used for years and this thing is so fast in comparison. The ability for a 4 way wedge is a big upgrade for us. We can split a face cord in about 30 min. Thanks...
Now that’s splitting some wood !!
My dad enjoys running the splitter. Just got to keep it fed with log rounds...Thanks...
