Era's is great but it's STILL FULL BUGS.. Why do 22-24 year old players retire after 1-2 years pro?? The Historic Drafts are full of auto-generated players and after a few years of playing Era's you're stuck with all these fake players.. It's not a fun product. Doesn't feel like the coaches or any Mentoring has ANY effect . Just like MyGM.. It's a fake experience.

This mode IS nba 2k IMO. This was thr MAIN Mode, The ONLY mode back in the day when it used to be called The Association. Before there was Any online play other than 1v1 head to head. Before any MyPlayer or MyTeam. It's a shame to see they don't give a shit about what Made them successful. The deepest franchise mode and Sim realism and now the game is a 🤡 clown show, it might as well be NBA JAM, with all the Cartoon gameplay.

We need the Olympics, more hairstyles, and sports glasses added. Also we should be able to face scan entir draft classes so generated players look different.

Exactly why I won’t be buying it for the first time in its existence. They don’t give af about this mode and I can’t rock with them anymore. This is all I play and They’ve gave us nothing. Eras is definitely lazy as hell and we didn’t ask for this.

Honestly not buying it I’m in year 2 on 24 of my franchise with realistic draftclasses hopefully 26 is better or they have live back again🔥

Given that MyNBA (GM MODE) has the potential to give us the most realistic and immersive experience than any other game mode, I can not comprehend how over the past few years (especially the past two years) NBA2K have completely ignored it. My guess is that they hope people will stop playing it so they can justify 'not' putting any time into it. It's an absolute embarrassment. If you go back the past two years and look at how much they have ignored all the problems and glitches with GM mode (not even patched the glitches between 23' and 24' re: 'trust'; 'morale'; 'skill tree'; 'unrealistic objectives'; and having 'no access to conversations' etc) it's absurd, and an insult to the NBA, its fans, and those who pay good money for the game. I'm so disappointed and let down by how the true to life version of this game has been 'pushed out', seemingly on purpose, just to force us to play unrealistic 'fantasy ball' while paying them more money than the already expensive game we get on release. Despite all that, I still have hope that someone at the company who has a genuine passion for the NBA will step in and do a complete rebuild of the MyNBA and GM Career Mode. If not, then I hope another company steps in and starts making a game so that 2K no longer have a monopoly on the market, because from what I've seen over the past couple of years, they don't deserve it.

I think 2K25 is going to be a shit show all around. It sounds like everyone is sick of 2K’s crap, and with College Football 25 coming out, I think most people will move their money over there.

The problem is MyLeague is not where they get their money so they actually benefit from making it bad and trying to force players into the online, money-making parts of the game. Then once there, a lot of the elements are also intentionally grindy and poorly made so people buy into the new pay-not-to-play bussines model. They literally profit from making the game intentionally bad so people are willing to pay money to play less of it. So it's probably not getting better without competition, but any competition would run into licensing issues because they probably have an exclusive deal with the NBA for team & player rights. It's great. I love -capitalism- *_monopoly._*

FINALLY someone said something about this. It’s copy & paste every year. All they’re adding is another “Era” which we don’t even need, same uniform option designs, same everything. They just don’t care about this mode because it doesn’t make them money & that’s all they care about smh

They gotta fix the chit chat feature if they do that ill get if not i wont even look at it. How can o lose sponsorships if i cant even do a deal with them. Would like the ability to ask your players to add weight in the offseason as well. Idk just add more immersion

I'm glad ERAs is in the game. I'm currently playing it now. It's great mode. After the first few seasons of franchise your league is populated with generics which I hate, so I use ERAs as a way to circumvent that. Players retire and end up on coaching staffs, I create my own rivalries etc kinda like how Dom 2k does it. Franchise does take a lot of tweaks though which is time consuming like with sliders for contracts and game play. The writing been on the wall, unless they find a way to make this mode a micro-transaction cash cow we will be left with scraps.

I skip 1-2 years. You either don't get anything new or get something worse inbetween. My last 2k was 22 next gen. The last good mygm was like 2k20

You're 100% right about Eras. It was SOO bad 2k23. Half of it didn't even work right. The rosters and animations were a joke. The simulated stats are still inaccurate. Idk how 2k dynasty mode is worse than Madden

I'm hoping that with the 25 being on PC MyNBA can be modded to be good. If nothing else it makes editing rosters easier Although who knows if 2k will even let us. They'll probably ban anyone who uses mods. I definitely won't buy it until at least black Friday

They dont care about the mode because they can't get microtransactions from the mode.

They made training players more difficult. Last interesting add was drafted players having tattoos. Can't justify paying $70 to play a recycled MyGM mode 😔

Let's not skirt around the issue of this game here... It's made just to make money and have influencers hype a dying game right out the gate. The modes we want fixed or at least better than it's originality it's not happening. It's only to milk the gamers dry plain and simple...

MyNBA lacks and issues. Lacks: 1. Free agent signing and player trade conversations - They had this on previous 2ks i donnt know why they took it off while it adds a realism to the simulation. 2. Cut Scenes of Championship Parade, Draft Day, and Trade and Draft Acquisitions - FIFA has this dope cut scenes with their manager mode (Playersignings and Trades) 3. Draft Combines - Only the scouting reports and draft combine stats are the basis now when drafting players. Back then 2k has this combine or workout invites to the players that are joining the draft so we can feel their playstyle idk again why did they remove this. Should be added again and put other playable draft combine drills/ 4. Player Morale Impact - During 2k14 and 15 we can pitch players to sign and sometimes disgruntled players that are planning to leave for free agency only needs to be talked to so ttheir morale will go up again. Idk again why tf did they remove this. This helps balancing the simulation of creating a super team. Issues 1. Too many players are retiring even if they are young. 2. Challenge for a call sometimes are buggy you dont see the insant replay even if you dont push any button it goes fast forward to the result. 3. Courts in Eras cant be replaced I know tthis has to do something with the legal rights of jerseys and courts. 4. Injured Player recovers too fast even though I have adjusted the settings. (e.g Joel Embiid in one of my saves got hurt 1st month of tthe season and is ruled out for the season after only three months he has recovered this injury lol My Wishlist 1. Add FIBA Games in the MyNBA current era i know it also has something to do with legal rights with FIBA but like EA on FIFA they have rights on different leagues and even world cup. As the season progress a football player is pulled out from the team for their national team duties. I hope they add this to 2k or if not EA might capitalize this from its Association Mode. Since they are known from having multiple rights of sports platform. 2. Be a GM/Coach of a National Team like Fifa other countries can offer you a international Job. 3. Bring Back everything thatt I mentioned on tthe Lacks List.

Mann its so hard to find videos of honest criticisms about MyNBA, just because its the best franchise in sports dont mean its above improvements. They have removed more than they have added. After playing the 25 madden beta i am honestly convinced this is the year madden franchise is maybe not "better" but definitely more fun to play. Like you said, franchise mode streamers barely exist because the mode is lacking innovation and depth. You could win multiple rings and its not acknowledged. I think a lot of what is in mycareer could help the mode, like the goat tracker, the record breaking celebrations, the radio/podcast shows. Add drills for the scouting, add rpg elements back, add in personality for players and dynamic storylines. Besides shooting, gameplay is pretty good. The game has all the potential to be great and they waste it. Drafts not even fun to me because the players feel generic, like fillers, broadcast wont speak about them in dynamic ways. Mode has become so bland. I remember in like 2k6 players would come to your office and have complaints or concerns. Even adding in new ways to play, sometimes i wanna play a hybrid game of watching/playing the 4th but super sim is not seamless and sim stats so out of whack. Feels like all the cool creative ideas saved for MC and us franchise guys dont even get scraps anymore just recycled and repackaged sht

They removed rpg elements and the feel of it being a league opposed to a sandbox. Won’t be buying 25 if they don’t announce some drastic MyNBA improvements

Hey this video was very validating. I started making mynba content a few months ago and have noticed these things too. as good as the mode looks on the surface, you're right about it being an inch deep. I am really trying to achieve a deep and fulfilling franchise experience with my series and i find myself having to add my own systems/use systems other people made just to spice things up (i.e. Attention to detail rosters, random event generator, detailed fictional draft classes) etc. And on top of that, I constantly have to monitor all 31 other teams in the league to make sure the cpu is managing them correctly (i.e. signing all the second round picks, manually trading players, making sure there is proper competition for stars in FA). not to mention the bugs/poorly designed things that I have to work around (salary cap doesn't increase, scouts give 2 conflicting reports, head coaches disappear, finals mvp gets switched). It gets exhausting, to the point where even if I do craft a satisfying experience, it feels hollow because I had to play God rather than simply being a GM of a team, which takes away the element of challenge and mastery that video games should always have. I think the eras are cool but not enough. if they improved the foundations of their franchise mode, the eras would benefit. The stale progression system was something I didn't think about until watching this. Now I think I understand the root of why I struggle to get satisfaction from this mode. I don't feel like I'm working to improve my team; that happens on its own, completely separate from my effort. I'm only working to prevent the game from ruining itself. Anyway, it would mean a lot if you could check out my channel; hopefully my content might give you some hope that there are some dedicated and detail-oriented MyNBA creators out there.
