Can a big volume wave-board change your performance?
Just got my hands on a fringe pro, would you recommend setting Leach looseness slightly before the marker? Or does it absolutely need to be at the marker? looking for slightly tighter leech when slightly underpowered
Hmmm… sounds like a good time to update my older One…
just picked up a 125, cant wait to try it.
is the colour way deep russet orange with orange logo / trim going to be available in 2025 ? Seems that at the moment it is just limited edition for team riders. The sail Levi Siver demonstrates how to rig onshore looks different from the one he is filmed sailing with.
This one is the Fushcia Banzai Surf. The one Levi is riding now is a custom Red Carbon Surf, but its is custom-made. He still rides both models.
great, thats soulsurfing !!!
At 0:06 there is a sail with colour scheme which looks like the one Sarah Hauser used in Aloha classic 2024; with a deep russet orange main colour and orange trim / logo. Was this a Banzai Max Pro Carbon but colour scheme limited edition for team riders only ? That was the one i liked best.
Just bought the Banzai 11, could you do a rigging guide on these as well? thx
Goya/quatro 💙🌊🌺🤙
How does it compare to last year’s Guru ?
Hi, I'm very undecided between the custom 4 (94) and the custom 3 (92). In side wind conditions, which board starts to plan first considering 1 - 2 meter waves, gusty wind about 15-22 knots and a weight of 83 kg? Thanks for the answer
Cool Video! But where is the music??? And where is this beautiful place... btw.. windsurfing hasnt changed much in the last 21 years, and i luv it! thanks, cheer
great stuff
Thats Soulsurfing😀
omg ❤
Love the vid, always love(d) Quatro since 'Four Play.' Consistently good (non evil) attitude over a long time. Sort of the opposite of Google...
Thank you. We try our very best.
gorgeous! Great video team!
Glad you like it!
I need a 95 to complete my quiver
Love the top turn acid drops 😮
Love this.
Excellent. Thank you. 🔥
You're welcome!
YES!
That's just about as good as it gets. Next Level !!!! 🙂
🤙 Thank you
goya making art outstandin' just like the painter, was he his relative? lol
This is fantastic thanks levy siver
So for a 4.0...would you also rather go with a 340 mast ? And it would be interesting to know what type of mast you are using. C80 ? C100 ? (-:
In all honesty, I'm not convinced. For the experienced but recreational windsurfers who want to go fast, you need less Vee, stretched-out minimal or no tail rocker - in other words a bit of flat board length under the feet. And to get the board going early and through lulls, you also need more tail width as well. Compared to the 2018 version of the Bolt, the new Bolt-4 doesn't seem to be showing many of its predecessor's characteristics. I'm sure the new Bolt-4 is more chop-friendly and more likely to be comfortable during long session, but as far as an energy-saving, accessible and fast board to freeride full tilt and do speedruns in on/off gusty conditions, I'm skeptical that it can be a good fit. I'm nostalgic of the 2018 version of the Bolt: Truly the perfect fast freerace for anyone who wanted effortless early planing, lull-killing and hair-raising speed. I literally spent 100's hours on the 2018 Bolts. I also tried many other freerace boards over the past 5 years and I haven't come across many board that favorably compared for accessible performance. Trendy boards of the moment with pronounced Vee demand more power, more rider input to get going and to me, are more physical to ride in on/off gusty conditions. I'm a bit sad that many board brands are kinda all featuring characteristics that makes it for a good contender in overpowered and choppy Defi-Wind conditions. Unfortunately (or fortunately), that's not the kind of riding I'm doing every day!
Great video, very interesting to see how you set up the sail. The winds tend to be light at my usual spot, I also go for the upper clew eye, with a touch less downhaul - I'm small, so doing more with less sail is better for me! I've been riding Banzai's for some years now (2020 and 2022 editions) and really like them - in particular I like how responsive and 'variable' they are, feeling alive in the hands, as opposed to 'steady' like some other sails I've tried. I'm thinking about getting some of the new Banzai, and I hear that the Banzai Surf in particular is considered to be really special by you guys - can you give any insights to the differences between Banzai and Banzai Surf? Could the Surf be a good option for me? (65kg, cross/cross-on, light wind /but also strong wind spots, ocean swell beach break wave riding)
Glad you enjoy riding the Banzai. Both sails are fantastic. Maybe you can sample the sails from a local shop? No matter the choice you’ll be happy. The Surf has a soft and smooth power delivery. It is a little less direct than the Banzai 11. Banzai 11 is very responsive and direct in the boom area where the Surf has soft power delivery and the wind tends to move up the sail vertical with the lift in the head.
@@lifetimesofdedication Thanks! My local shop is going to do a demo day soon! I can't wait to try the new sails. I realised on my session today that forcing through shorebreak, probably under powered, is a large part of the local conditions - no channels as such where I sail. Set timing aside, what you get on the way in, is what you have to get _through_ on the way out! The controllable extra power of [standard] Banzai is something I very much appreciate for that.
@@robertallison1580 Happy to hear that you can demo the sails. That will really help as you might be surprised how efficient both sails are. Its comes down to personal feeling and how you want the power and performance to deliver. The Banzai 11 is solid no question. It has proven itself in global conditions. On the other hand the Surf is turning heads and even at places like Pozo Winds in Gran Canaria it's their number one sail.
Best sail ever... until the next one ! 😄
From Levi's perspective, it's the best sail he's used.
@@lifetimesofdedication until the next one
We are waiting! Thanks for the words!
Awesome 👏
Nice video🎉 and trim tips Levi. Would be nice to have the same rigging trims from Keith, Jason, Fransisco, Marciello and Kai. I would guess that all of you trim a little different😊
That would be cool! 🤙😉
Cannot wait to ride with you :)
Nice Levi! i got my new quiver for Maui, cant wait to get on them!
Good choice!
Great riding, boring soundtrack.
Goya and Ezzy are the only companies that explain it the right way !!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!!
Nice presentation :)
Why do you still use Mini-Tuttleboxes for the tracker fins?
Hmm.. might be time to up date my Goya One from 2011. 😊
Take a test drive and you'll be hooked.
Looks sick! Nice shape,
Went to windsurf shop the other day the staff were genuinely buzzing over this board ,
It's our number One board. This season we made it even more forgiving.
My 'daily driver' is a Goya One (2020) - fantastic all round go anywhere do anything board, good for light winds, good for strong winds, good for flat water and epic swells. Great to hear the latest model has even more wavyness!
That's why we call it the One. It covers so much ground, and the fact that it's still fun to ride in little waves is the icing on the cake.
Sweet.. I think my brother is getting this one🔥
He's going to really enjoy it!
Nice work Jason, looks good. Greetings from White Salmon😎🤙
Glad you like it. Aloha
pauls really taken it far as the under 10 lb wave! board was a nice idea but too fragile 1990-2020 now seems a reality
nice
Thank you for getting back to US boxes, wise decision and smart choice. I will miss the more elongated outline of last year, but I’m eager to try the new shapes
If you liked last years, then you’ll love this year. Same feels but better.
belle planche !
Previously I had the Pyramid 99L and now I am fortunate to have the new Pyramid 6 100L since end of april '24 and it is great. A lot livelier, significant weight reduction. This video however...... I doubt that anyone understands your explanation / response to that question a lot of people ask you (whether they should go for the thruster or the quad). The only recent video on product which made sense to me was by Jason Diffin who did guite a solid job in explaining the confusing wave sail line up.
How much is the weight difference now? Roughly from last model to this? Like a 94L Custom 4?
approx. 800 grams
Some looks like Quatro Super Mini :)
Has a more forgiving outline.
Beautiful looking boards. But what is epic for me is seeing US boxes on the side fins of a 3 fin board - a sign of a quality build.
We have riders on Maui that love them. Their dependable and solid.
@@lifetimesofdedication yeah I owned a Quatro for several years. Solidly built, a friend now owns it and is still stoked. I now only ride custom boards from Carve Machine.
