You put a lot of effort and elbowgrease into this restoration. Was there any rust under the japaning. If not I might have chosen to use the japaning as a primer. Also I prefer to let the wood show its beauty - or was this plastic? Hard to tell for me… Very thourough and god job with the restoration - ten thumbs up!
It takes a lot of folk to connect to the significance of this architecture. Fresh air, little singing birds, tranquil waters and New Age music. Goodness, I love this. Wood. The slices of serenity. How I live for them.
