Переглядів 14 тис.2 роки тому
In this episode I gave my empty 35mm film canisters a new purpose. #wetplatephotography #tintypes #analogphotography #35mmfilm
Very beautiful lady and outstanding work !
That was amazing, such an original idea!
What watt seconds are you using on your strobe? Apature? Don’t need a ton of light to do this with strobe?
wow this is so incredible
Brilliant, great idea and VIDEO. Keep on trucking man!
That’s so awesome. I know ive been saving my empty canisters for a reason!!!!!!!
Some amazing work, really consider putting out more content. What you have is fantastic and will get noticed but you need some volume.
very helpful, thanks! just picked one up for 100$
very cool
This is truly Amazing and beautiful piece of art. I love it!
That is insane! Well Done!
You shoot amazing portraits! I am a beginner, still afraid to do my first wet plate collodion... Bought three 4x5 cameras, and need to learn more before doing it. If you have any advise for me I will really appreciate.
Ufff!
That Was Great!
nice! how do you know how long to expose it for?
Amazing really. Keep on doing videos, it will take off at some point !
Bro you have to upload more!!! Thats so cool btw thx for sharing
Cool. How did you keep from getting finger prints on the working side, did you clean it before pouring?
Is it possible to directly expose onto the tintype with an enlarger instead?
Wow what a cool way to upcycle the film canisters! I definitely want to try!!
the absolute coolest photography video I've seen on here in a long time
Very helpful, thank you! The L35AF is my first point and shoot.
If you bang the bit poking out, the bottom pops off...
The AF3 also has a filter ring mount. It's only the AF2 that doesn't have it. The AF3 actually addresses some of the issues you talked about. It has a better battery compartment and no pop-up flash. It has a button to override use of flash. The AF3 flash also has an automatic diffuser for fill light. It does sport a specialty battery, a CR-P2 - but on the other hand it lasts 50 rolls (with 30% flash photos) and up to 5 years. (no leakage) So the trade-off right be worth it. It also turns off automatically, so no worry of forgetting to turn the camera off. No ISO setting and only 4 element lense though - so it is a bit of a compromise.
That is incredible! Great video!
Hey! Love this idea - if I make a video doing this process is it okay if I tag you and give u credit?? Also do you know if there is a way to remove the front label of the canister?
I bought the original version of this in 1983, in Hong Kong at a time when it had hardly reached US or other Western markets. From my reading stuff then, as I recall, this was Nikon's first foray into AF/Point and Shoots, and they were determined to make it an absolute cracker of a camera, and the whole feel of quality around the device was very much commented on. In particular, the lens. I owned mine until about 5 years ago. I had though stopped using it around the mid 90's, when I had bought a new point and shoot that was quieter in operation. I never had any real gripes with the L35, well satisfied with the photos I took with it. There was one thing that became increasingly irksome. The lens cap/cover that had to manually removed and replaced everytime I used the camera. That was a main reason why I bought a new camera in the mid 90's. That, and I just fancied a new camera, as you do !
I have the 1000 iso 😂
I've never shot tintype before but I keep coming back to this video because of how cool it is. Seriously, this is such an amazing concept!
So cool!
Fascinating! The size is really cute too - would make a great accessory to hang off a bag or something. (maybe even smaller one... as earrings? 😮)
Fantastic
This is incredible ! I love how it looks couldn't find the patience to work on a 4x5 acrylic piece but thanks for the great video !
I have enjoyed watching your videos. I hope you make more!
Genius video my friend
this is so cool!
That is SO cool! Well done brotha
Thank you sir 🙏
Genious ! Incredible 9.40 !
Thank you very much 🙏
Woah. This was really cool
Hope you enjoyed it 🙏
Great idea and execution!
Thank you, I will keep trying my best 🙏
does your acrylic plate/holder also work for newer film holders?
Not for film holders, you actually need a Plate holder for wetplate photography.
This is so cool!
Thank you 🙏
Very cool. All I need is a 4x5 camera, chemicals, darkroom setup… lol.
😂 yes that’s another rabbit hole
Hats off to you, such a great idea.
Thank you hope you enjoyed the video 🙏
Brilliant
Thank you for watching 🙏
Having the clear fixing tank it such a cool idea! I really want to get into tintypes someday, after I can get a house I can set up a darkroom in
I can’t claim credit for that idea 🤗
NGL, this is fantastic. what a way to preserve on a durable substrate small and convenient, easy to display... this a wonderful gift for someone to put on their night stand, fall asleep with visions of their loved one, on the inside of a film canister.
My sentiments exactly!
As someone who grew up in his father's darkroom, I really appreciate seeing your tintype innovation. I will have to try it myself.
Thank you and please do!
fantastic idea
Thanks for watching 🙏
Amazing! I just saw this.
Glad you liked it 🙏
