You can eliminate the drone with Helmholtz resonators (not to be confused with J-pipes or 1/4 wave resonators). There is a Corvette on UA-cam that has a muffler delete and Helmholtz resonators to kill drone....

I have a muffler delete - sounds fantastic especially on decel - love the burbles and pops....I centered the tips just like you did. Got the tips on amazon - look just like yours. Total cost of muffler delete including tips was $225.

Fuel issues

Interesting I bought my C6 2 years ago and it failed inspection for the exhaust in Maryland. The dealer put mufflers back on. I never got to hear how it sounded before but still have the magnaflow tips on. How much do you think a shop would charge for the delete? I actually have to go because they did a bad weld job and my right exhaust tips are now leaning.

Will that pass inspection in Wisconsin? If not, do you find a place that’ll pass you for a little extra cash?
