Squat, Bench, Deadlift Max-out

Every December between my Birthday (9th) and Christmas I go all out on squat, bench and deadlift. I keep loading on weight until I fail in order to find my true 1 rep max. Don’t believe the online 1 rep max calculators, just get under a bar and see what you can do.

DIY Atlas Stone Build Instructional - Homemade Strongman Equipment

Decided I didn’t want to pay for an atlas stone so I made one. Unlike all the other DIY builds I’ve seen on UA-cam, this one doesn’t need stupid and messy plaster of Paris or expensive atlas stone molds. This is definitely the easiest way to make your own atlas stone... eh, even if it did turn out a bit mis-shapen. Please leave any questions, comments or any advice in the comments. Now let’s ge...
How to play shred guitar solos for beginners - 4. tips to improve fast metal guitar lead playing
Переглядів 714 роки тому
These 4 runs/licks/patterns/sequences, or whatever you wanna call them, have been the 4 corner stones of my guitar playing for nearly 2 decades now. With the exception of fret tapping almost all my lead playing revolves around variations of these 4 patterns and right hand techniques. I’m completely self taught and when I started learning I had no guitar teacher and no UA-cam. Boohoo right?! How...

DIY Homemade Strongman Log

Decided I didn’t want to pay for a strongman log... so I made one. If anyone (actually watches this) has any questions, leave in comments and I’ll try and help you out. X
If I make this would I be able to make it where I adjust the height of the middle bar do yoke carry as well as zercher carry
Yeah, for sure! I’ve already put another couple of holes in the uprights so my shorter friends can also use it and it’s had 400kg loaded on it without any issues… so far 🤞🤞🤞
Starts at 0:45
Why not make the mess outside rather than in the gym haha? Nice build
I love this, well done I might need one one day myself
I recently started making atlas stones. Now I want to make a CBD thank you for this video I hope to make a block to press soon too
man, this is genius!
Cheers dude 🙌
502 Kg!!!! I think you forgot the decimal point in 50.2KG... lol Nice work though.
😂😂😂
Great job. Functional and it doesn’t look like an eyesore.
what is the name of the plate holders on the end of the logs?
lol i love strongman stuff, its the most creative, low key 'redneck', kind of sport out there, with a bunch of mad lads and mad ladies just seeing what they can pick up and put down, hell yea get it boys and girls! ps, my man going hard with the cross cut saw, very nice, may as well get a pump in there too
Excellent..will do this.bought my first 12 inch mold a couple weeks ago..they are pricey
Dopeeeeeee! Seriously though, how much did it weigh??
It’s 45kg / 100lbs empty 👍
🔥🔥🔥
Turned out very nice! However, I wonder how you managed to have the blance exactly right? Since it is a natural log, the geometric center might not actually be alligned with the center of balance...
Thanks man 👍 simple answer is… you’re absolutely right, it’s probably not perfectly balanced, plus it’s not possible to know if I removed exactly the same amount of material for the hand pockets. But because it was a telegraph pole it was milled really evenly and I measured really carefully, so it feels pretty evenly balanced in the hands. Still going strong though, you should give it a shot, great Saturday project. Thanks for watching 💪🏻
@@robinwilliamson95 Thanks for the answer! I will consider my options, I thought about using a tree that has to be cut down anyways, but since that will not be already milled, I think I'd have a really hard time balancing it well...
Hey. I just finished doing this build, but the spray foam on the threaded rod utterly failed. Curious to figure out what I did wrong. The pvc pipes weren’t on hard at all, and they pulled right off after 8 hours, and it’s wet inside, and it’s almost as if the foam just became a liquid. Thoughts?
🤔 No idea my friend, sounds like there was maybe something wrong with the expanding foam? I use mine regularly and I chuck it about, I’ve not had any problems so far. The expanding foam I used was, I suppose, what you’d call a “premium brand”, and it’s held up ok. Hope you manage to get it sorted.
@@robinwilliamson95 did you put the pvc on the rods, in position, then spray the foam down? That’s what the video looks like. I was worried that the foam may not reach the bottom because the tube it comes with isn’t that long, so I sprayed foam inside first, then put it over
The first way you mentioned, I put the pvc pipe over the rods so they were sitting in what would be the finished position, then I sprayed the foam into the gap. The expanding foam I used had a long nozzle that unfolds so i was able to reach right down into the gap between rod and pipe.
@@robinwilliamson95 Hmmm. I tried again with a new can of foam, it definitely filled just fine, but once again there's no airflow for the foam in the pipe, so it collapses in on itself because foam needs the airflow, so I'm not sure how it worked for you. I'm sure I'll find a different way to make load the plates. Thanks
Hope you get it sorted, let me know how it turns out 👍
Good stuff. What kind of resin is that?
It’s called Anchor Bond. I’m in the UK so depending on where you are in world that specific product may or may not be available, but it’s just a cheap polyester resin mortar that designed for attaching metal in to masonry, I’m sure there will be something similar wherever you are.
Did you give advice about train? How you train bro did you just run 5x5?
Hey. That’s a difficult question to answer... but I’ll try. I periodise my training, so sometimes it’s heavy (3x3), sometimes it’s light (3x12) sometimes it’s heavy singles, sometimes I work my lifts in to giant sets to get more conditioning work done. Basically, I like to change it up every 2 or three months to keep it interesting so I don’t get bored.
-Atlas- Dinnie Stone Build Video. Love it mate.
some precision dovetails there mate. with the price of lumber here in the States, might as well buy a Rogue one lol. beautiful work though!
Haha, thanks. I’m in Scotland and it’s the same story here too, timber prices sky high. I like a project though, more satisfying, and it hasn’t broken…. yet🤞🏻
@@robinwilliamson95 totally! makes it more personal that's for sure.
Amazing, thats what i was looking for.
This is genius.
>110 American freedom units Damn right.
I am thinking about doing exactly this, but maybe using paper mache to create a stiff shell around the ball so it keeps its shape.
Ah the classic Hulse manoeuvre, executed to perfection! Enjoying your DIY’s dude, thanks!
Thank you so much. This looks like a great project to try!
Bad ass. What was the bar that you used?
Thanks 👍 it’s a 5ft axle bar made by a company called Mirafit (I’m in the UK) but any barbell should do the trick, I have little space so the narrower the yoke the better.
@@robinwilliamson95 Cool, thank you.
Great idea. Thanks.
Very nice job mate
This is very cool!
That is cool af.
Very cool man, thanks!
Nice 500 kg log press. Might want to call Guinness right away! 😂😂
I tried, but for some reason they didn’t believe me 🤔😂
epic
so sick gonna make one. Thx dude
Brilliant... comp in March and have all implements in home gym apart from this... let you know how it goes. Comp weight is 50kg so this will be excellent 👌
good video but the song is shit its really annoying
Strong af mate
exactly what i was looking for, thx mate
Am I looking at it wrong..but wouldn't the air get released once whole is cut it the top of the ball? What am I missing here
No, as long as you don’t over inflate the ball it’ll hold it’s shape. The duct tape stops it from collapsing. I tried it before with a ball that I over inflated and it did exactly what you thought would happen, it shrank and shrivelled and didn’t work. Put enough air in it to just inflate it, but without stretching it 👍
Fuckin awesome man!!!
How wide did you make the handle width? How big the intake for additional weights?Great Video Thanks 😎👍
Bro you are amazing
I've been a Mason for 22 years. I have never seen somebody mix concrete with a pick axe. Come on bro the right tool for the right job. Although the Batman mug is right there with standards and practices.👌
you got a loisence for that kniofe?
😂
I'm guessing that's 50.2KGS & not 502KGS
Surely not, I'm not a strong man but I can lift a 50kg boulder with a lot of huffing and puffin. This guy looks way stronger than that. But it AIN'T 502KG!
3:30 “a disguise is optional to deter burglars” I wish you set a fake mustache on the cover at this point lol

Smart idea
Nice home gym and material, and very good video, you are preparing for competing?
Thanks 🙏 No not preparing for any competition, just like making stupid video’s 😛
