Thanks for sharing I loved ❤❤❤
@@didial1141 thanks I appreciate you watching
I suck at making pie crust, gonna try this crust for a custard pie. Love your channel, you have a great voice.
@@judylee7477 Thanks for watching I appreciate it. I hope it turns out great 🙂
100 years ago they did not have crisco. They used Lard
How much flour do you use?
About 3/4cup or so
Looking real good!
Thanks 🙂
Are you using plain or self rising flour
Thanks for your comment 🙂Just plain old regular all-purpose flour.
I really like the recipe but the cussing is not for me. 💖💖
Okie dokie
I love the way he speaks😊
Thanks 🙂
That's the same one my grandmother made. Makes a flakey crust.
Don’t knead pie crust, please
Great video, thank you. Only issue I got is the terrifying shadow that keeps following around. That monster is scary. Other than that, love the video + Love Lake George
Lake George is beautiful, I always enjoy my time spent there.
Looks good
Beautiful! Thank you!
MUCHAS GRACIAS por COMPARTIR ‼️ ya la hice EXCELENTE ‼️🥳😋😋😋🌟👋💟

Hello thanks for the interest in my video. Not quite sure what you mean? 🙃
I always thought you shouldn't work pie crust. Makes it tough. Thought you were making biscuits,
I have to give it a try! Thank you!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. 🙂
Bruh I need to try your cooking 🤤
Fr dude one day we got to link up
Hey what is that crisco stuff I have never heard of it Is there another name for it I'm gonna try it thanks for sharing your video beef pies are the best
Crisco is a name brand with solidified oils. Creates an excellent texture.
@@chefabomb4163 thank you man I am from New Zealand and I think we mainly use butter margarine or lard over here
Glad you enjoyed the video. Cool to see that it reached you all the way in New Zealand. Be sure to check out some more. I appreciate your comments. 👨🍳
I am using butter not Crisco, How much butter do i need, most recipes calls for 1/2 cup
I'm not sure exactly how much butter you would need. Crisco works much better giving you an excellent texture.
I was waiting to see how it rolled out, bummer
Sorry about that it was already a long video so I put it into an apple pie video. Check it out
I make this with butter. Delicious! Very easy to roll out.
How much butter, and do you use 4 cups of flour?
If you want the crissco to come out of your jug easier, just rub a little oil inside the jug so the crissco doesn't stick to the sides.
Thanks for the tip 🙂
Thanks! Trying to become more self-sustained, this is literally only 1 of 2 videos I found explaining how to keep fresh yeast going!
Thank you I appreciate your comment and I'm glad the video is useful to you.
Hey thanks for sharing! ♥️ I would like to see the baked shells 😁
Just found this, looking for an old pie crust recipe to taste like my grandmother's.. there's a written version, but i think ours is a best guess because she measured nothing! I don't recall her being fussy about it, she just mixed, rolled out and baked. We didnt own real measuring cups until i was a teen. A cup was an old green plastic teacup and tbs and tsp came from the silverware drawer. I'm excited to try this since it's been tried and true from so many generations of your family and I'm off to watch the apple pie! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your interest in my videos 🙂I hope it comes out delicious for you
Stand still. Stop swaying. You’re making me dizzy. lol. Great recipe.
Looks way better than my 1st batch. I’m definitely doing it this way next time😓😂

"Please take a moment to like & subscribe!" Didn't have to tell me twice!
Thanks I appreciate that
Pity you didn’t slice it at the end, so we could see the texture inside, but it looks good from the outside!!!
Yes I definitely should have done that. It turned out great with a smooth moist cake like texture inside. The outside with a chewy glazy shine. The edges and the bottom where it met with the pan had a sturdy yet delicate unique taste and texture. Thank you for your comment and I hope you decide to make it 🙂
So yummy
Your channel was recommended to me from underneath a Preppy Kitchen video and this looks SO good! Can I use melted butter instead of vegetable oil in the dough or would olive oil be better? So helpful to see how you breakdown a chicken and make the whole thing from total scratch!
Oh nice to hear that UA-cam is recommending me.🙂 Vegetable oil would be best in the dough but I'm sure you could get away with adding either one if needed. I would recommend olive oil over the top of the Sicilian right after you shape it for baking. Thanks for your comment let me know how it turns out 🙂
You kinda sound like Ricky from Trailer Park Boys. Me personally I love maple bacon on all my pizzas it adds so much flavor.
Lol
Thank you for your beautiful delicious recipe ❤
You're welcome I'm glad you like it 🙂
There is "something" about yeast that improves with time. When given a chance to develop flavours slowly, gradually, over days, weeks, months, and yes, years, bakers acquire their panache. This is not preparing a poolish,or biga or even a sourdough starter. This is much better, this is maintaining a few of the many yeast strains that are available. Why do we see more and more bakeries closing that have changed hands over the years? Just a few years after and patrons stop returning . They have the same production, same recipes, same prices and costs. Could it be that they lost the key ingredient? That yeast that was used for the last 50 years was taken out of production due to lack of knowledge and care. Where I grew up there was a bakery that was in operation for generations. The brand was well known and a hallmark to the city. The people that purchased the company did a good job, but could not maintain the legacy. It was the same style of bread, but it lacked something and many patrons did not return. So the $$$ were coming in but not enough to stay operational; the ovens broke down and sourcing out repairs was too costly. So, Chip and Pepper, those surfer apparel guys from waaay baaack bought the company. Well, the name anyway. They are still looking for someone to bake that bread. But as I mentioned all they got was the recipes and the name. Their roots grow deep in the business world, even the food business, but it has been almost one year since the purchase and the people are waiting. Apologies for the petit novella, I guess I need a compadre. Happy New Year
Very nice and yummy 🤤👌🇵🇰
God bless you and your family 😇😇😇🙏🙏❤❤❤🇵🇰👍
I like to precook my apples, too.
Hey there, that’s my recipe. Lol my family did it this way.
Nice 🙂
merry christmas uau lot of work. they[ll love it
Merry Christmas
You are just so SWEET❤❤ nothing better then a home made gift. I’m sure they will love it. Merry Christmas to you as well. See you in the next video.🥧🎁😊
Merry Christmas
Everybody claims to have the best pie crust! Your measurement cups are not right and you are using bad salt. You are kneading that wet dough!
Regardless the recipe is tried and true and is the best 😉. Give it a shot using your "correct method" and "proper ingredients" I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
Hey lay off the boy .
Of all the nerve @pm5039. You probably don’t use your real name because you go from channel to channel insulting people for some thing you know nothing about. I think your video is awesome. Thank you for sharing
Loved it thanks. I normally make sourdough but this is pretty cool too. Cheers from Portugal
I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the video. Very cool to see that it made its way all the way to Portugal. Cheers from New York
PRO TIP. Sir you used liquid measuring cups for the flour & Crisco. You should of used DRY MEASURING CUPS. Most stores carry them. THEY come in a set of 1/3, 1/4, 1/2 & 1 cup. Hope this helps.
Your great grandmother probably used lard, at least in the beginning.
Possibly
Ok my turn to give you something...Ready? Go to Hey Hedy What's Cookin. Look up Best Apple Pie Filling Ever.. its what i use. I promise you.. U are gonna love it. you can cook your apples down. Drain any liquid & then make this. ENJOY!
