brilliant showman
Brilliant! What an amazing era of talent
I am... Well, you see my surname...😂😂😂😂
Look at that Bigsby Standard guitar Merle is playing, a rare bird.
Wow! Fab! So many styles jammed into 1 song! Love it....
Travis pickin, best in town!
Merle Travis was probably the most influential guitarist of the twentieth century.
Merle Was a Great Guitarist! WooF!
My birthday nearly around in this actual term
Dermot got Dougal's eyes spot-on
Here's the thing. As far as I know the actors were on a basic until this series? it's always basic for a few series? Then money kicks in. So sad Dermot didn't survive to earn his rewards ?
VERY GOOD MERLE TRAVIS
Incredible
THIS is how you do a body/mind swap! That said, this is hilarious
For Father Ted fans that have seen every episode at least 5 times, this is like finding a tenner in the pocket of some jeans you havent wore in ages.
Damn straight! 🙂
I hear that train whistle blowing. Its coming round the bend. Johnny Cash.....well its actually Jimmie Rodgers. You should listen to the great train riders. The masters.....Woody Guthrie, Jimmie Rogers, Box car Willie,
They all look like they're having a wonderful time
Yup
I remember seeing this trailer back at the time and thinking it was the most glorious thing as I couldn't wait for series 3. Not sure how many times it was ever shown but it couldn't have been many.
Professor ted crilly? I prefer father ted crilly
Once, many men of the Cloth *were* scientists; many still are. Many sciences have their roots in the Bible, if not all.
0:11 gets me aswell
0:06 this gets me every time
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Third and final series aired on my 8th birthday , young Italian - Mexican lad in London , with an abundance of Irish class mates, so many references , so much laughs and so much piss taking…. ❤
made me smile they were great
Me too funny
hilarious :)
Remember this guy
I would have clicked on this sooner, only the farm takes up most of my time and at night I just like a cup of tea!
that's no trumpet it's a cornet
Rest in peace Dermot and Frank. ✌️😇
Man, that is some great Travis picking!
Any one know the history on the guitar he is playing ? I know its a bigsby and i have seen his solid body bigsby this one is much thicker .
Which episode is this?
It's not from an episode but rather a special trailer made to advertise the 3rd series. I don't think it was shown much.
I wish they made Father Ted: The Movie if Dermot Morgan and Frank Kelly were still alive.
Rettet meinen Tag !!!! ))))))))))))))
Perfection
😉
That Bigsby guitar later went to Jack Parsons, who had a Bigsby Vibrato put onto it.
Love it and watched the whole thing and finally got to see Speedy's face at the last....you can tell it's him with just two chords.
‘Shut up and play guitar’
Raw to the bone pure marrow
Superb guitarist
Eddie Kirk was a Django fan. Mark it down.
I remember when the third series was going to be shown, the announcer said due to Dermot's death it was rescheduled for the following week, so they had a double bill of "Frasier" that evening, (following week, when it did show I laughed my head off)
You've got too much sugar for a dime.... You're always handing me a line Always bragging 'bout what you've got Swimming pool, fancy yacht I bet you don't know nothin' bout a boat (They float) That's too much honey for my hive... (quit your buzzing queen bee) All you do is pitch a lot of jive (Well I know honey I've done ya dirt But you can wipe your shoes on my silk shirt) That's too much sugar for a dime ** solos ** You've got too much sugar for a dime (I've got barrels of that stuff) Yak yak yak all the time (Yak along Travis, that's me) Now if you could sing like Gordon McRae, King Cole, or Mel Torme May I would come down off the shelf (I'm a Tex Ritter man myself) Too much candy for the cost (well I have it girl) So do me a favor (what's that?) get lost! (Well I guess I'll give the devil his due!) No no ???? [patrillo?] might refuse That's too much sugar for a dime! ( "This dime ain't no good anyway, it's got a picture of your favorite here on it") Well turn it over, cause there's a picture of you on the other side! That's too much sugar for a dime!
Who’s here from the Ranger Doug’s classic cowboy corral?
having to sit through seemingly hours of shite to catch a glimpse of the Ramones was my memory of OFWT
.. lol ... they are so deplorable ... funny !
I’m here for the 2 seconds of Stackridge
Kinda wish I was in 1997 right now...
A mind swap that's fantastic . What' did you swap it for Ted?
