Good to see we got Aglar later on and still got Sims from a Tiger point of view. In terms of Tigers small Forward players we have M Rioli , Mansell , Campbell , Judson Clarke a young player coming back from injury only got 4 AFL last season then got injured and out for year. Injured like a lot of our list did in 2024. Aglar will add to the list of small Forwards. We used to have to many so we gave you Butler and Higgins 😂🤣. I think we will invest more in this area in Drafts in the future ? but they have to be good ? Next years draft has one of the best small forward in a long time that could go pick 1 ? But can not be got even if there’s a bid due to Academy listed. We had danger in 2024 draft from Clubs wanting what we wanted in Players out of that draft your Saints interested In Smillie if we didn’t get him with our second selections and Sydney wanting to trade up for Faull as well as GWS and West Coast keen on Hotton. The one we lost was to Melbourne in Lindsey that we wanted? But in saying that if Melbourne did not select Lindsay ? There was a strong chance they would have gone Armstrong which is one we wanted at Richmond as well. I guess you can not get them all 😂🤣 as for the Saints I think they did very well with there first 2 selections in Tauru and Travagalia good players that fell at the right selections for St Kilda. You also were helped out by Richmond and Geelong where media kept saying were after Dodson but in the end Richmond were keen on Sims as there Ruckman/Forward and Geelong took two other players before Dodson got selected by St Kilda so all the talk that Richmond were going to take Dodson and Geelong were going to trade up to get him was wrong. I think StKilda is building right under the noses of quite a few so-called experts who have either written them off completely or think they’ll be exactly the same side next year.

For me his just too slow. He doesn’t have any break away pace. He doesn’t get enough of it either and he turns it over a bit too often. Every year he looks exactly the same. He doesn’t work hard enough on his endurance or his speed. It was telling against GWS in that final in 2023. He was a mile off their mids in that game.

Worth pointing out most stats are based on ToG. If he can get above 80% he'll have way more disposals, tackles and clearances. Kicking efficiency isn't great but he prefers to hit short options than bomb it long, I think his clearances are more effective than most of our mids

It must be hard playing for St Kilda knowing they will never play in a premiership team.

Can we break the curse is probably more my question with Hunter. Loved the story his Mum told about the psychic prediction about his draft journey. He's a home-grown hero and there was some premonitions of greatness at Saints. Attitude✅️. Endeavour✅️ Character✅️ Talent✅️. 🙏 🙏 🙏 give him a break in this luck and allow him consistency to show his full range. I reckon we'd die wondering if we don't get a full season of availability and that would really disappoint me after his journey. He's got a bit of my Sainter ❤️.

The bloke is in his 7th or 8th preseason. Injuries aside, he’s never put on any size, never improved his pace and never improved his aerobic capacity. I think his injuries have been an excuse, but in reality he just doesn’t possess the drive or professionalism required to make it at the level. Like seriously, Phillipou and Wilson have improved their size and fitness more in 12 months than Hunter Clark has in 7 years.

Hunter Clark has the attributes to be a good AFL player. I'd rate him so far as a C+ but I think he can become a B+ if he works hard, and has a bit of luck. He has always had great on field intelligence and he is brave. He normally is in the right place at the right time. He is not fast, but he is smart enough to be in the right place when needed. He is calm and has good evasise moves, and normally gets the ball away if tackled. I think his kicking is good, but not great. Injuries have set him back, primarily the jaw, which was a shocker. He makes my 22 at Saints, but may be pushed by some of the new guys.

Hunter Clarke needs too perform, no more excuses!!!!!! Otherwise I would trade him....gonski.

Definitely make or break season for him with all the youngsters coming up.

The thing with Clark was early on he had silk, good ball use and decision making. Since then he seems to have lost these attributes which were his POD in this side, although his inside work has improved I don’t know if he should be best 22 anymore. Could be wrong.

would love to see a comparison with windhager and hunter. i love wind but to an extent i dont see permanent a place for him if hes not a tagger, i personally feel hunter is just better and uses the footy much better than windy

I'd have a few players swaps from vfl but I definitely agree about Marshall playing for deep forward. He looked really strong down there.

Good video on your take for the team. Marshall would be awesome spending more time in the forward line. Harry Boyd might not have played a single game yet but for me, he is very important going forward.

Marshall definitely needs assistance,putting Owens into the ruck just doesn’t work,maybe Boyd in the centre and Marshall roaming the forward line and taking the ruck.

Marshall isnt a FF. He's a ruck/utility who gets around the ground and drops fwd. Boyd averages 2 marks a game, thats terrible. Probably starts in the reserves.

On one hand, Marshall should have been AA ruck. After you say he should be at FF. Marshall thrives on rucking, stats support this.
