now I know this is good because in 1 week I'm getting my first iphone which is the iphone 11 the price now is 75$ I had Android and Samsung for a long time now Im switching to iphone
I did setup my EF Johnson as a non affiliated conventional scanner but id rather have it follow the trunk and TG,s i wanna hear but remember these radios are only phase 1 fdma
I am sending you this message to ask. Is there any way I can listen to my local sheriff's department and get the weather band I do not want to transmit. I just want to listen I have AXTS 5000 model 3.
Hopefully this answers your question. Through programming, not FPP, actual computer programming of this radio (other radios can do this too) you can set your RX frequency (Recieve) as what you want, in this case your sheriff station's frequency then set your TX (Transmit) to some random frequency. This will ensure if you accidentally say something on the radio it will transmit on that random frequency you typed in but you still can listen to the sheriff station. I use this because it's helped me not get arrested for clicking the panic button on my radio by accident. Also most frequencies are listed on the Radio Reference website, or at least for me my county's emergency dispatch has a website that lists the frequencies.
been waiting on my device since 1-20, sent my sim and number, said they was out of like 90 percent of phoens bc holiday demand. going on 3 weeks now bout to give up im not the only one waiting either, got approved for the program back on like 1-15 xmas almost 3 months ago. holiday demand shouldnt be an issue tried to get on live chat waited 4.5 hours as client #94 tried to call and its just as bad, this company is ridiculous
Is the volume screwed up like the radiodiddy gd88 ? I see is the same software as the gd88 . So the gd88 set at the lowest volume setting is way too loud and when adjusting the volume as your turning it nothing happens nothing happens nothing happens then it starts to adjust. So it’s alittle slopping going up and down . Does that 22 do that ? I want to buy one but am trying to find out ?
From what I understand, it's used for night vision. The ir light is invisible to the human eye, but digital cameras can see them very well (if they don't have an ir filter in place). So it's used as a light source for the camera that's invisible to us.
use any 18650 battery you wish- streamlight batteries are good quality, but you certainly pay a premium unless you find them on sale. I bought a set of 6 18650's with charger from fleabay and charge them outside of the radios.
I did the same damn thing with the Tri KDU recently… I noticed you said the pin out is different… wonder if it’d be possible to modify the pin out to work with the TCA? Apparently the new TCAs from 2023 are “KDU compatible”… assuming that means no TCAs were before 2023…?
@@abccde3832 yeah I recently had to come to grips with the fact I’m just going to have to buy another radio to be able to use the KDU like I was hoping to… ballllls.

Hi there. Enjoyed your video. The radio you have there is what I call the "version 1" UV 17. (It doesn't have GPS by the way just shares a common chassis with the other models and has the GPS symbol on the top despite having no GPS built into it!) You might want to take a look at a UA-cam video I made on the three variants of the UV 17 which explains the differences between them and which CPS software to use to program them. Cool radios. Did you ever install CD77 on it?
DMR is based on TDMA, which is an older digital cellular technology.
Ordered one for my hubby. Great company.
That model does not have basically baofeng guts. You should’ve done some research. The older models did, not that one.

Nice

Im getting the same radio from a friend do all the radios with keypad can lrogram from keypad or still need to do it by computer if the fpp dont show
The radio needs the FPP flash code as well as the FPP in the menu. Otherwise Astro25portable CPS to do much with it.
can you extend the frequencies?

It's not a 'hoax'. It's a lookalike, designed to mimic the appearance and some of the functionality of the real thing.

I would love to wipe this radio clean and have a factory reset or whatever it is called.I just want to use it as a scanner.Nothing else
Leave it as is, just dont key up on it

No P25 protocol. DMR is the digital protocol. You can listen to any analog or DMR digital transmissions that aren't encrypted.

The TX audio issue might be because it has an ultra narrowband audio setting (2.5KHz). Check to see if it can be reset to 5KHz dev.

What good is 10 W if antenna is rated for 5W? You could be damaging radio transmitter since electricity bounce back. (also known as SWR)
