    Does Botswana allow dual citizenship? I am African American and would be interested in having Botswanan citizenship.

    • @loratotv4960
      @loratotv4960 14 днів тому

      Botswana does not permit dual citizenship. If you are an African American interested in obtaining Botswanan citizenship, you would have to renounce your current citizenship as part of the naturalization process. It's important to carefully consider the implications of this decision and consult with legal experts or the relevant authorities in Botswana for detailed guidance. No I don't know if anything that I say is pronounced as spell right but I know you may get what I'm trying to say now I must add Botswana to the list of landlocked country that I would not mind staying in which is Zambia Zimbabwe and Rwanda and maybe Uganda has non-coastal Country I believe I've only met one Botswana person in my life but I really cannot remember him so much. This country is beautiful I never knew it was so beautiful I thought it was mostly desert at one point until I watch a travel from dar es salaam to Johannesburg and when he drove to the country I did not realize it was so green maybe one day I will get to see it it is a lot different than what I thought of it from the the brother giving the tour guide let me remember why I love people from Southern Namibia and East Africa because I have them to the lot of them and he is the exemplary of the people that have met❤

    Shame about the empty properties. In the Caribbean I understand that if you have land and dont pay your taxes the government take it back. Even in the UK, the government is clamping down on any empty properties. The government should send out announcement that people in the area will need to start to pay taxes on empty properties. If no response after a period of time, take the properties back and sell to local people.

      Thank you for your suggestion! Including interviews with families with school-age children is a great idea to offer diverse perspectives. I'll definitely take that into consideration for future content. Your input is valuable in shaping the direction of the videos, and I appreciate your support.

    Botswana needs to train its people. It's a shame they have a shortage of qualified and educated personnel. Even their colleges and universities are full of foreigners.

      It's true that addressing the shortage of qualified and educated personnel is crucial for Botswana's development. Collaboration with foreign experts can also be beneficial, but it's essential to prioritize the development of local talent.

    Thank you for the information, it was useful. Does Botswana have a retirement visa for people who want to stay? As a UK resident, some people want to move to a safe and quiet country. Is it possible to do a video on services available for people who want to retire? Retirement homes, older people services, groups.

      Most of our people are farmers, they believe in cattle rearing and farming, that's what most people do when they retire. The also like staying in villages after retirement and contribute into their villages development where the need, like arises Charing village development committees, parents teachers associations in schools, farmers association groups at their farms, some go into transport businesses, tuck shops, etc. However let's wait and see what Lorato tv will come out with. Thanks

      @@candyhender291 Thank you for the information. I was in Gaborone for 2 weeks in May but didn't travel much and just rested. It's very peaceful for people who don't want too much hustle and bustle. It's important to give back to the community wherever you reside especially if you are not from the country. I am from Caribbean heritage and felt for once I didn't stand out!
