Safariland Level 3 Retention holster and QLS Install | Glock 47 and Glock 19 gen 5
Переглядів 1395 місяців тому
In this video we look at a Safariland 6000 series level three retention holster. I show how easy it is to install the QLS system and swap holsters. Also we see how other lights fit the holster even though it was made for the X300 surefire lights. The guns we use are the Glock 47 and the G19 gen 5 guns with the same Holosun scs red dot.

Benchmade Full Immunity - Who is this knife for?
Переглядів 2967 місяців тому
The Benchmade Full Immunity is my current choice for an easily carried 5th pocket EDC knife. But is it the right pick for you? In this video I'll go over the knife and who I think should be looking to add this their collection and EDC rotation.
Microtech MSI RAM-LOK - Did they make a high value 100% USA made knife?
Переглядів 5088 місяців тому
Microtech MSI is a 100% American made folding knife with a 3.9 inch M390 blade. If you're looking for a larger folder, that is made in the USA from a top tier manufacture, for a great price, this might be it.
Benchmade Mini Adamas
Переглядів 2039 місяців тому
I just don't get the purpose of this knife. A mini version of one of Benchmade's best over built folding knifes. My thought is that the reason it exists is to capitalize on the mini knife trend and that if you actually need a knife like this then the best choice is the full-sized version. I could be wrong and look forward to hearing from the viewers of this video on what purpose this blade serv...
Springfield Echelon and Holosun EPS
Переглядів 4,1 тис.9 місяців тому
The Springfield Echelon has one of the most revolutionary optics mounting systems I've seen. It allows for the installation of almost any red dot without the need for plates. It also mounts low enough to allow co-witnessing with the factory irons without the need for higher aftermarket sights. A lower height over bore for the optic I feel increases accuracy at all reasonable distances because i...
The Benchmade Taggedout could be the best combination hunting and edc folding knife.
Переглядів 2 тис.10 місяців тому
In this video I give a quick look at the Benchmade Taggedout. This is a knife in their hunt class. This particular version has carbon fiber scales and cpm magnacut. I discuss why if I were to buy this knife again just for a hunting folder I would get a different version with FRN handles and cpm 154.
Gear I don't go hunting or backpacking without | Jetboil Flash
Переглядів 109Рік тому
Just a short overview of a gear item that I don't go hunting, camping, or backpacking without. I carry the JetBoil Flash on all my trips. I found uses for it beyond just boiling water. I also often time carry a MightyMo stove too because of the ability to simmer food while cooking in a regular pan or other pot.
Semi-automatic alternative to the AR 10 for hunting - Browning BAR Hells Canyon Speed

If you're looking for an alternative to the AR 10 platform for a semi-automatic hunting rifle then check out the Browning BAR rifles. They have several different models. In this video we look at the hells canyon speed model in 7mm Remington Magnum. The Browning has a more traditional look and feel. I find the models without a box magazine to be my favorites. They carry easier and are lighter th...

Why The 20 Gauge Beretta A400 Extreme Plus Shotgun and Range Review
Es compatible con la Glock 45 MOS? Es la misma?
It should work since the G45 is really for the most part a G17 frame and the G19 slide.
What type of oil do you use on the guns
Is the barrel swapable like the mpx k?
Bolt disassembly instructions were on point!!! Well explained. Many thanks
This is the video l was hoping to find. Just purchased an a400 extreme plus.
I own the gen 5 mos glock 19 with the holosun but your comment about still shooting a old glock got me going i still have a gen 2 glock 19 that I shoot all the time LOL
How’s the Axis lock on the mini Freek when you pull down on it? Is it smooth or gritty? Same question for your full sized Freek. I bought a full sized Freek in S90V with carbon fiber grips and the Axis lock was gritty. It sounded and felt like graduals of sand was in the Axis lock. I returned it to exchange it for another one. If it comes back gritty I’m sending it back and I won’t buy another Freek. I love the mini Adamas because it feels like a full sized knife. I don’t like mini knives. I like to get a full firm confident grip, and I have medium sized hands. Plus I’m not stationed in a state with a blade length restriction. The mini Adamas and Para 3 are the smallest knives I’ll carry and use.
@@jaytay7989 my freaks are not gritty. I have 3 of them, the mini in carbon fiber the full in carbon fiber and the original full size and they are all smooth.
In your FPC vid youwere saying it has no recoil, if I remember correctly. In this vid you said not much difference than 5.56?
I guess you have to take this in context with most of the hunting focused rifles I shoot. My norm hunting rifle is a 300 Remington ultra magnum. I also use a light weight 300 win mag as my back country rifle and a 7 mm rem mag is my current Florida tree stand gun. So taken in context a 556 has no recoil. I understand if your opinion is different and that is ok.
Hi, I just bought the a400 Xtreme plus, but I am having so much issue with the mag cap. It takes so much force to turn, and I wonder if have done something wrong…
I don't think you have done anything wrong. The cap on the a400 only needs a quarter turn to unlock. So unlike a screw on cap that quarter turn is really tight because it has what feels like detent to overcome.
@@southeastwhitetails thanks!
Lol. Love it
Thanks for the help man Just bought this shotguns can’t wait to receive it
I hope you like it and have a lot of fun hunts with it.
I wanna see a dirty gun.
I appreciate your video very much. Thank you.
wait so Beretta a400 xtreme plus 26'' max-7 you can shoot 3 1/2 ??
@@ploxplox1109 yes 3 1/2 inch shells.
@@southeastwhitetails ok thanks because some websites I try to order this shotgun it says 3in confusing so it will shoot 2 3/4, 3in, 3.5
@@ploxplox1109 make sure you are looking at the 12 gauge. I have the 20 gauge too and it shoots 3 inch. The 12 gauge shoots 2 3/4 , 3 and 3 1/2 inch shells.
@@southeastwhitetails ok thanks again will do
@@southeastwhitetails Sorry to bother you man I just spoke to Beretta Customer service guys and they told me only shoots 2 3/4 and 3 in whats the exact model you have ?
Maybe you don't know, but you can get five and ten round magazines for the AR-10. Furthermore, you could buy the Ruger version of the AR-10 and it is much lighter and way less expensive than that overpriced Daniel Defence boat anchor.
Maybe I do know. Maybe I have a few Rugers. Maybe I still like the the DD better. Maybe... The Internet is a place where it seems that everyone wants to say what someone else likes is bad. Maybe... I don't do that. Use what you like, I was just showing a more traditional configured semi automatic hunting rifle. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for showing how to dismantle the Talon handle for cleaning!
Dude the Extreme Hunter doesn't expand. Its flutes do create hydrostatic shock and they penetrate deep......No Expansion by the bullet!
I've shot a deer and a hog with them. Both head shots from less than 5 feet. So I've never actually recovered the bullet. Thanks for the correction and clarification.
I’m considering getting an auto immunity for a edc, collectors, and gift to myself. I edc a Mini Tagged out in the G10 scales/S45VN. Which I like but something about the immunities 👌🏼
Y’all think this would be good on a Glock 49 mos?
I have one of these on g19 and on a g47. Both work very well. I've put the g47 slide on the g19 frame and so... g49. Yep works just fine.
@@southeastwhitetails thanks man, I’m getting one today haha.
@@Falling-faster let me know how you like it. I have only a sample size of 2 but I like them so far.
@@southeastwhitetails I’m going to pick one up tomorrow I think. I’ll let you know though!
Have one on my G45 9mm. Love it. Use a torque screwdriver. Many are complaining about screws breaking, I've never had a Holosun screw break.
@@MrPerry61 what are the torque specs? I bought one from a friend but I don’t have the box.
@@Falling-faster book says 15 inch lb
@@MrPerry61 Thanks! That really helps!! I didn’t want to shear them off.
Does the 20 gage Achieve better ranges (the barrel is slimer) ?
I've never really looked into that. I small game hunt with this shotgun so the shots are always under 40 yards. Main thing I like about it is how light and easy it is to carry compared to a 12 ga. That isn't only in the weight of the gun but in the ammo I dump in my pockets for a day of walking around in the woods. And the recoil seems to be way less too. My guess would be that no it doesn't get better range than a 12 gauge with the same shot size. Less powder and less shot of the sames size.
Thank you for the review. Just bought the Carbon Fiber.
Hope you enjoy it!
Where is the follow up
Enjoyed your video man. I have been researching this knife and it was helpful. Thanks.
Glad it helped. This is still the knife I carry in my pocket most hunting and just plan edc.
Nice to hear your thoughts as a actual owner and user of the product. Just subscribed. Keep up the content.
And then you add in the Wilson combat grip and change your life again
Haha Like the sarcastic intro. You rehome the Gen 3? I've only shot/held 1 Glock (45acp) in the past, but have started looking into the options for double stack carry Glocks in 9mm. The G19 just seems to win out on versatility of all the parts out there and is still that sweet spot size for carry AIWB.
@@CarlPapa88 I kept the gen 3 too. It gives me something to shoot with iron sights and after that many rounds the trigger feels pretty good. I guess it is finally broken in. If you decide on the G19 let us know how you like it after carrying it for a bit.
Been carrying a green poly with the apocalyptic finish. It’s a solid knife. Great edc choice
Love your videos! Do you have any of the camo dip that has chipped or started to wear off?
I don't have a video showing it but it is right around the rib on the barrel where the rib connects to the barrel. I used this gun this year too for turkeys and got to stay and hunt in 3 states. It hasn't gotten any worse. I have another one that I duck and dove hunt with and it isn't having any issues. I also have a 20 gauge a400 and that isn't having any issues. But this one is so can't really say why. I clean it an wipe it off after I hunt in wet areas or rain so whatever is the problem is a problem with this one gun. Thanks for watching. Let me know if you have any other questions.
@@southeastwhitetails I have one that’s not a year old yet and has some missing right above the serial number above the trigger on the side of the gun. You think it’s worth calling Beretta?
Depends on how much it bothers you. If it gets worse I might call them. I won't let it keep me out of the woods so it will have to be in the off season for me.
What distance do you think the deer were at?
@@maviskilpatrick7592 that was somewhere around 120 yards. We have a feeder off to the side at 100 yards from that stand and they were a little past the feeder.
Ok so I want to give an update here for anyone that watches this video. I had the eps screws held on with blue lock tight. Everything was going good and I wasn't having issues that I see others posting. Then it happened, in the middle of a stage, the sight came loose. I got lucky and noticed it was sideways before shooting. So yes the screws that come with the eps don't work on the echelon. I ordered some screws from freedom gorilla and hopefully they work. I'll update again if i experience further issues.
Very interested in your followup and if the new screws did the trick, thanks!
@@SplashOfOrangeso far the new screws seem to be working. I'll try and do a followup video on it after I've got enough rounds to make sure.
Sounds is terrible
Thanks for the feedback. I don't have good video equipment. I probably should do a sound check before I post a video. Thanks for watching.
I have a Tikka CTR Stainless in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 24" barrel. That thing is hands down my favorite rifle ever. I average < 0.5 MOA for 5-shot groups with 143 grain ELD-X bullets.
Great sight on a great gun… I have the same set up. It is as tuff as the Glock and made out of titanium. Mine has been in my safe for up to a month, as it’s not my edc. Take it out and works great. It’s my first optic and I need more range time with it before I carry it…
Browning in made in Belgium the factories over there use the latest manufacturing processes…hammer forged chrome line chamber and barrel ….no one in the USA has these machines to do this work and also the incredible tight tolerances ….this is the difference and what makes the bar way more precise and better of a rifle …and unfortunately there are discontinuing the bar … get it while you can
The DBM model only comes in .308
Hate that orange blade...😢
Maglula (the speed loader) makes one for the MPX
Been waiting for them to release a larger version, probably called Total Immunity.
What if my Glock is inside of a fingerprint safe and it sits for a long time in the dark. If the SCS MOS is meant to always be on, is this gonna work properly since it sits so long in the dark?
That is a good question and I can only give you my experience here. I also don't know what you consider a long time. I left two of them, one on a g19 and one on a g47 in a safe for a month. When I opened the door to check, they were both on. Please take this as just my experience with a very small sample size.
@@southeastwhitetails At least a week or two, maybe three max, if I couldn't make it to the range due to schedule. I appreciate the information.
@@MS-ii6xz from my experience it would make that amount of time. If you decide to try it let me know how it works out. That would expand the sample.
@@southeastwhitetails I am still thinking it over, but for sure, if I do, I will definitely update.
Cool knife seen a copy on Amazon had og green g10 orange blade.. coating was probably paint but looks awesome i mean 26 buck watta u expect lol ..your real one is perfect 😊
😂
What's retention like?
When I first got this holster it was hard to even get the gun in. After a while it was like the holster molded to the gun. For normal edc or hiking it is fine. I wouldn't recommend this if you are going to be really active but then again no holster that isn't at least a level 2 is for that. Thanks for the comment and the question.
@@southeastwhitetails very cool. Just snagged one 😎
I own a P365x it holds a 17 round mag.
Currently I carry a Colt Python 3 inch as my CCW of choice. However I'm definitely getting the Shadow 2 Compact soon as well. Absolutely love da/sa pistols and it's screaming my name. 🤘
This was a very informative video. I used to carry a CZ-75 with the hammer on half cock, but I never liked manually de-cocking it. Once KY passed constitutional carry I switched to a Ruger LC9s, but I don't like having to disengage the safety as I draw, despite training for it I fear I will forget in a tense situation. I'm going to look into getting a SA/DA with a de-cocker like you showed. That would solve both of my problems.
Glad the video was helpful. The one with the decocker only was a cz p07. I got it at bass pro shop in Gainesville Florida for around 500 dollars if I remember correctly.
Great stuff. My primary EDC is a Glock 19, secondary is a CZ P-01. That double action pull on the CZ definitely took some getting used to.
Thanks for watching. My carry rotation leans more towards the strike fired guns like Glocks and Sigs too. I do think that the hammer fired guns have some big upside when it comes to safety and they are just cool too. 😀
Any mechanical has a break-in period. Any gun with tight to semi-tight tolerances will have one. I have had your So called most reliable Glocks fail right out of the box with a clean and lube before shooting as well. Suck it up buttercup, something’s need breaking in before they’re 100%. Like corvette, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce etc etc…..
Sorry if I personally offended you by showing a gun malfunction. This isn't a tight tolerance gun but with that said maybe it was ammo or maybe it did need a break in of sorts because it has been mostly reliable after that one small issue. Either way this gun isn't for self defense or duty use, it is more of a comp or range toy firearm. I'm not offended when you say a Glock or anything else malfunctioned. It is what it is and to have a personal attachment to a tool, especially one you didn't build, is strange to me. Oh and I can't comment on Lamborghini or Rolls Royce 😀
@@southeastwhitetails Thank you for the response. I wasn’t personally offended, I was merely pointing out a common theme among those in the UA-cam Gun community, that is insisting on repeating that “A Gun should function 100% out of the box!” Being a former mechanic and a 1911 Gunsmith, I have to explain to people that some items, like it or not, may have to be used for a little bit before they run to their potential. It is what it is….
Great video. I have a quick question: Where are you getting your ammo from?
I got the case these boxes are out of from Top Gun Supply. To be honest I get it from wherever it is the cheapest at the time.
Was going to comment about 1) needing to install the rear pins and 2) ordering the SA screw set to use instead of the red dot supplied screws. While SA claims this VIS design is easy - it’s not. You def need to hunt for the right screw lengths. Sorry to hear of your forehead bash.
Thanks
