Finally a good video! Thanks!
Happy new year and great tip
I am an old man in Canada, I made my first bow out of yew when I was 15. I actually made tooth picks! lol I like to watch you because you are normal people. I live in BC and have a family winery. Stop in if you are in area.
Remember Joe cut towards your buddy not your body😂 Nice save on the bow. Could you see anything where it lifted the splinter?
That was a big splinter lift. After gluing and clamping just a glue line was visible . Stayed good after shooting it. The rawhide was the extra security that will keep it together for years.
Love your videos mick iondon,
Nice
Great bow and video 👍👍💯💯💯👌

Nice work Joe. These videos are a great resource for anyone who wants to make their own bows.
Thank you
Good shooting ,both bows sound quiet .. good luck with them.
Nice
Another fine bow Joe.
Thanks for sharing this, Joe! Not every experiment works, but learning and trying new things is key. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦 :)
Nice
Well said Joe I get it now.
I gotta give ya props Joe. I will be trying some black locust myself. I sometime put them on my draw board and pull them till failure without a scale just to see how they will break and how far they will go.
I have been binge watching your videos and i have learned a lot.many thanks joe.
I learned a lot .great video i will make some wood arrows soon,im using carbons till i do.
Great job joe.great looking bow.
Great video joe.you explain everything very well.i definitely like it!my bow will be here in a week and i know it will work well thanks to you my friend.
The radio music in the background violated copyright so I deleted that portion and re posted it
Great job Joe !!! I was waiting impatiently to see you do a recurve bow. A new level. From Bordeaux, France 👍🏹
Nice
It does look great, the two times I made a bow it broke so I might not be a good judge. I enjoy ur videos
Maybe it's the camera angle, but the limbs don't look even 26 min in?? Maybe the bow moved while on tje tellering tree???
Crooked tillering stick
Please do more black locus bows! It’s a very intriguing wood that not enough bowyers use.
Nice job Joe. Looks like a fine shooting bow.
Nice
Nice
Could you do a detailed video on your tillering style?
How much charcoal do you use for each bow Joe?
1 bag
Congrats on the new bow I see the collection is looking healthy 🏹
What's your moisture content on that blank now Joe? Can't wait to see how you make out with the locust. I have some locust at a friend's house im waiting to cut in the spring.
The stave that wasn’t trimmed was is 10. The one on the backset jig that had some heat to bend it is between 6 and 8. The riser is 10
Elm, very beautiful bow, congrats
Very sweet looking wood and antler work!! You going to the Kzoo show?
No
I didnt know the actual poudage was writen on it, thats cool to know. If you you still have that one and want to sell it id be super interested 😅
Congratulations Joe, great shooting, beautiful bow, ENJOY YOUR HUNTING, GOOD LUCK🏹
Congratulations on your new bow. I see Jim all the time at our two club shoots here in Central Florida every year and his bows are almost too beautiful to take to the woods … ALMOST! Good luck hunting
Your limbs are Elm Joe.
Thanks! It is a beautiful, fast bow
Great looking bow.
Pretty good looking bow !!
Have you built a osage bow? Are you going to?
I have made a couple. The problem is not getting ripped off buying garbage staves. I occasional hunt with my “ Osage Christmas bow “ the other terrible staves worm holes, pithy wood, were made into 2 youth bows.
