They need them do to owner misuse while towing and not servicing Those trannys are bullet proof if you don’t town in overdrive and actually service them at 60k-100k miles Mine has 171k on it Shifts like new

Just change the Torque converter.....problem solved....replaced mine 3 years ago....still running smooth! ....I didn't need to replace or rebuild the transmission

My ‘15 5.3 went out at 90k. My ‘24 Duramax (LZ0) is getting sloppy at 10k. Might go back to ram….smh

I have had my 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 less than a year and the transmission is bad on it at 88,500 miles....did tune ups and ATF change and it still went bad

Chevys are trash, i bought a brand new one and the transmission failed in less than a year. People are making all kind of excuses when the fact is Chevy is known to have the worst quality engines and transmissions.

A lot of people don’t change engine oil enough…just think how many of those transmissions were never serviced on schedule. I have had three of these with zero problems…but I am a stickler when it comes to service and maintenance.

Must be the Chevy shake I pumped out the fluid and dropped the pan. Changed the filter and pumped back in what I took out. Gotta replace the fluid with Mobil synthetic LV ATF HP and must be the black label. Drives fine now. But after about 300 miles pump out what you can and replace that amount again. Saved my transmission.

I remember them. I remember back in the day there wasn't a whole lot of them on the road, my neighbor down the road from me has a tan one and it was parked probably 25 years ago they drove the wheels off it using it on the farm..I think mother nature has just about took it over now it's like welded to the ground it seems it's sunken down a lot.

That’s because it’s not an Allison anymore, it’s “Allison branded” meaning GM built the trans and paid Allison to slap their name on it

My 2003 lb7 with Allison 5 speed is still going strong. Built motor, stock trans 😉 she lives in tune 5. 250,450 miles. Tows 16,000lbs all over the country as I live in my fifth wheel. She's gonna be a million mile truck. Sucks for you, bud. Stop trying to be fancy and materialistic and this shit won't happen.

Beautiful CJ! “Wrangler” actually came out in 87’ though featured with the “YJ” which is what I have (1992 Jeep Wrangler) before that it was just called a Jeep or a “CJ-5 CJ-7 CJ-8 etc..” (Civilian jeep). Awesome ride though I love seeing Jeep heads fix up a nice ride!
