This is 12 starts from my sessson couple of days ago. These are no wave assist starts on the Lift 120 (774cm2) . Which in my opinion is pretty dam amazing. I'm riding the DC 5-2 Super trench which has alot to do with it BUT still possible on other boards. Timing is key hey , read the water feel the bumps and don't just blindly pull the trigger . Are there any connectivity problems with the Foil Drive and that Duotone 6'10"? Is that board stable enough be used as SUP with paddle in waves? How does it compares to the DC Multifoil board in stability?
How long did the battery last with a taped 60cm motor?
Great viewing Rob ⚡️🤙
@@8marcrara11 cheers Marc 🤙
What is the max it can go to?
Hi Rob. I got DC to make a similar board 6.9x26x115 and I weigh 90kgs. Sup foil wing foil and soon DW with foil drive assist plus and parawing. The board is unreal and the swing weight is no problem unless you foil like Bennetts or Zane.
Thats so good thanks for sharing Jock
Which board you recommend for SUP foil surfing: this DC Multi Foil Board (6'7") or the Duotone Skybrid (5'10") ? (both 100 liters)
Now I use for SUP surf with Foil Drive a Kalama 5'4" x 26.7" (105 liters) and I weight 70 kgs. I am worried about the change in width (20" DC and 23.7 " Duotone) in terms of balance compared to what I am used to.
Looks multi-capable, great job!! But at 4.16 needs more cowbell....
@@glimpseireland2005 Haha yeah would have loved to kept going 😎
Is there a link to these bords?
@@fabioruetz7135 not yet Fabio but soon dcshapingco.com/
I have a board very close to this and confirm it’s awesome. The light and balanced weight you mentioned is super key to making it nimble, some other boards in this class are 6-7kg wide point forward and feel terrible.
Maybe Multi Foil can be the new industry name for this class of board. I landed on those dimensions (mine is 6’8x 19.7 x 98 L) last Spring. I was telling people mid lengths were better when slightly longer than what the big brands were releasing. Multi Foil is a good name. I don’t think the too short mid lengths are going away. BTW, my tiny wife’s preferred Multi Foil is 6’2 x 19.2 x 70 L). I think these boards will be perfect for the Parawing too. My D-Wings are on order.
To encourage more people to order from Dale, here is more story about my journey. Both my knees are shot. I also uphaul to save my knees. A year ago I was riding 6’8 x 21.5 x 98 liters. It was easy, so I tried 20.5 wide. Then I tried to 19.7 wide. I could uphaul on all of them. Of course my skills improved though the time period. Each reduction in width increased performance a lot. The width scares some, but trust me, Dale’s dimensions are spot on and easier than you think.
@@foilsurfmachines Thanks for all that , it’s fantastic
@@foilsurfmachines Hi! Thanks for the info! Can you paddle (without Foil Drive) your 6'8" x 19.7" board without balance problems? I need to paddle about 1 mile to get to the reef surf at home.

Thanks so much Rob. Very helpful
Well said. I use the lock especially when my kids or new people are learning to foil. It can be annoying when it keeps locking all the time but it is safer. That being said somtimes I turn it off in big swell to make sure I always have throttle on demand if I need it to escape a big set after a wipe out. It's a personal choice and I choose what I feel is best for my conditions.
@@paulmartin4342 Yes totally agree Paul it’s a personal choice BUT it’s great to have the option . 🤙

Rob, I was told that the Slingshot RapidTrack Aluminum Mast System Pedestal DOESN'T work with the Foil Drive system in the usual way because of the tabs. Is that the case. Aloha, Don
@@dong8822 I actually don’t have access to Rapid Track system but I’ll chat to the Aus rep and find out and get back to you .
Wow, thank you Rob. I really appreciate you going out of your way to research that. Aloha, Don

Great job as always. We at Stinger Boards & Foils in Whistler, Canada are also offering a "Trench" Foil Drive model, in a 5'2" and 4'11". The "Trench" is next level,, it's truly amazing how much quicker one can be up on foil, and there's less drag. 2025 is going to be so much fun, cheers !!

Love your passion, sharing is caring. The weight being issue N 1 for me, I will look at it seriously soon. My only fear how good are the motors and batteries ? Can we trust the set up ? Which company will survive and still have after sales service ? The integrated mast, motor & battery (no board) is still around 5500, cheaper than elite efoil for sure but not a gadget price Still very good news for efoil sport in general !
@@robbart7599 Yes 100% will not replace an actually Efoil just opens up some other options . I’ve put well over 1000 hours on the Gen 2 other than very minor issues no problems at all and I do very long Downwind runs few miles offshore all the time so the unit is reliable .
Where can you buy that Slingshot intergrated mast ??
Very hard to get I'm told 6 weeks in Aus
Another major benefit of this over a full blown efoil and its mass... is the ability to run a leg rope without the chance of one's leg being tugged off if going over the falls haha

@@Piros181 How does it pump in the efoil position?
@ With the 2 blade still pumps ok but the 3 blade it’s very hard to
Rob, I used the Motor with 2 rotors, Appletree 80L. V3, Foil Levitaz Shark 2000/330 on a lake. Now I have waves in Dom.-Rep., Cabarete and like to Wingfoil in light wind. Is the Frontwing 2000 too big? My weight is 60kg. Is the 2 blates rotor too small for waves and I need 3 blades? Is the motor position 20cm too less for waves and I need 60cm cable? And where is your Controller? Didn't see it on your boom? Bianca
@heudoi75 Hey Bianca I didn’t use the FD on the wing , I was just showing that the board could be used for multi purposes. Yes 2000 is huge for your weight . I really don’t use anything over 1000cm2 and I’m 85kg . You need the 2 blade for the Efoil but for everything else I use the 3 blade . I use 15cm on my normal board it’s perfect for me even pushing up wind . A bigger foil will give more battery time especially on flat water . Any other questions fire away . Cheers Rob
This is very interesting. I ride Armstrong ml 100L with Ha 880 or 580. I have the foil drive max with 15cm. Will upgrade to new motor with longer cable. Should i also upgrade board. It doesn’t sit well 5mil gap at front bat housing. What are those boards? Foil drive has nothing on site.
I’m interested in both foil drive and Armstrong ml board but I don’t understand your comment. Are you saying they don’t pair well together? Can you explain your comment more? Thanks

Hi Rob, would a board that you can stand on be easier or harder?
The foil under Rob is the Slinsghot Onelock Glide 925 cm X 899 wide AR 8.9 its got fantastic lift for its size and super nice glide. The intergrated mast is 82 cm in aluminium. Foil drive now have the same mast with the pod mounted in assist position.
Why are you efoiling in waves ?
He's just using it as an assist. You can see he has dropped the remote and is entirely off-power on the bigger waves. I'm really happy to see this demonstration with motor at lowest (eFoil) position. That's how I'd go, Especially since I'm on a lake and would be thieving wakes. More fun when on power as you can elevate higher too.
How long is your selfie stick? Great vid

Hey Rob, questions please on mast placement when you’re switching between the 120ha and 150hax, , are you moving the mast more forward when using the 120ha (compared to the 150hax)? I’m using exact same setup with 21 flow tail and FD max, but always find the 120ha I’m not getting the glide so constantly needing to pump to stay on waves. Cheers mate, love your videos!
Hi Sean my mast never moves regardless of brand or size of foil . It's more important to have the board balanced. Just with the 120 you create more speed by turning than pumping same goes for any foil.
@ thank you 🙏
