Great interview. One thing that never occurred to me before someone else pointed it out is negotiating higher commissions. I bet if you use Ken’s advice on creating a sheet to analyze RPM and EPC on affiliate sales and compare to what the affiliate says it’s EPCs are you might be able to spot affiliate sites that never negotiated a higher commission. I’ve doubled numerous affiliate commissions just by asking.

That was helpful. But what about internal linking for ecommerce - should links from supporting articles to the pillar page be stronger (higher) than links to the category page?
Good question! Category pages are notoriously difficult to rank, usually because the content, from a quality perspective, isn't the best and there's little room to manoeuvre. It's comparatively easier to build out pillar pages and their supporting structure and internally link to the category pages.

MarketMuse First Draft will generate text articles. But as its name implies, it's only a first draft. You'll still want to edit it, add your own personal experience, appropriate images and links, to make it ready for publication.
