little bit of offroad action, my green 1998 toyota 4runner, red solid axle first gen 4runner, white 3rd gen 4runner and green Suzuki samurai. super fun day and of course the camera never does justice but regardless I hope you enjoy the video. I'm working on making it more of a habit to record and post these adventures.
new tire deflator and 12v all top compressor

new tools I got for Christmas, so I figured I would make a video showing a point of view from someone who has never used these tools and reaction to the tools. the Boulder tools tire deflator was very nice and much faster than poking the valve stem with my knife. the all top 4x4 twin compressor is a game changer for sure. These are going to save me so much time with airing up and down I'm looki...

2021 klx140rl jetting update!
Переглядів 180Рік тому
Just a quick update video chasing a small jetting issue from our 2021 klx140rl. We bought this bike brand new and it was great but it always felt a little off with the jetting and these bikes are nutritious for coming from the factory with wrong jetting. It ran and rode fine but not great. We are now one step closer to this being a fun little trail machine for my girlfriend. Parts used: www.roc...

How to install a light bar on a 2008 klx110
I tightened mine atleast 1/2 turn clockwise and still sloppy. Guy I bought it from said was changed year ago with new front end parts and pitman arm
Did you find anything? My 04 LLY just did this.
@achilles1373 no it is moisture somewhere though because if I regularly drive it then it's fine.
Some reason I can’t ever get the grease to go in the fitting. Like half a pump it just squirts out at the nozzle
@@aaronroy9825 could be a blocked fitting. You can get an assortment of them pretty cheap on Amazon and swap then out super easy
Can I use the same grease for all of it? I use "Mobilgrease FM 222, NSF H1" grease for my JBA Upper Control Arms, and wondering if I can use the same grease for all components.
@@michaelfrymus I don't see why not
Even bacon grease would be better than no grease
Love it!❤
Why didn't you Center the camera?
Didn't want to obstruct the 3rd brake light or have the light output hitting the brakes mess with it at night
@@Garcias_garage724 Gotcha
Hey i just bought a 2020 kawasaki 140 l for a grand its electric start i can only run it with the choke on when i adjust the idle screw it does nothing what issue can that be? Thanks
Jetting for sure
@Garcias_garage724 I know what the idle screw is I heard of the jet thing but I don't know what that is will it be cheaper to buy a new carb and put it in myself or pay a mechanic to fix it? Thanks
@atownish1488hh you don't need a new carb just the little jets inside that regulate the air fuel ratio it's pretty simple to swap them out and lots of help online with what jets to run for certain elevations
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😢😮😮😮
Did you need to jack the truck up? I cant seem to get the wrench and allen key on mine. There isnt enough room above the gearbox.
No i didn't need to jack it up at all. I could only get a shorter combination wrench and Allen wrench.
Yeye
his approach was terrible
He made it no damage and is heavily under the Influence so how bad could it have been lol
@@Garcias_garage724 fair tbh . all that matters really is everyone had fun and came out alive 😂
solid rig!
It's been a damn good rig the last 4 years taking everything I throw at it

Fat thumbs lol
Is this a Toyota land cruisea
No its a 2nd gen 4runner

Well done! Love the "right dumb ass".

Sweet truck
sick as fuck
Yeah it really impressed me throughout the day
Can we get a 4Runner walk around 🙏
Absolutely
Just a heads up, there is also a spanner nut on the steering shaft side under the seal that needs backlash adjustment while adjusting the nut you mention in this video.
Where did you run the wire from the exterior of the 4Runner to the interior?
Man I gotta double check I don't even remember
@@Garcias_garage724 Thanks! I’d like to mount mine there to avoid all the disassembly of the lift gate. Did you wire the camera so it only comes on when in reverse or so you can turn it on any time?
@Lefty1284 only with reverse I thought about wiring it to a switch or full time but I don't use it a ton
The can was still on fire😭😭😭
If the video was 2 seconds longer he says "oh fuck" 🤣
Nice
Do i have to take it to the shop to get a alignment after doing this?
No it doesn't mess with anything alignment wise it's just some slack out of the steering box to the wheel.
Do you pump grease until grease comes out of the slip yoke?
Normally that's what I do yes sometimes I get a bit of moisture before the grease pops out.
@@Garcias_garage724 interesting. I’ve heard people say to be careful to not put too much grease in the slip yoke as the grease hypothetically could cause the slip yoke to hydrolock preventing the slip yoke from moving. But if it’s always worked for you I’ll try it!
@@jacob_lindstrom I get grease out of the splines before anything and when driving it pull push out what it doesn't like it never takes much or any crazy amount of squeezing force. I will try to look up some stuff asap so I don't get any people in trouble lol.
Great video thanks for sharing. I want to learn wheelies and I'm hesitating between ths klx 140, the klx 110 and the Yamaha ttr 110. What is your opinion? Thanks in advance.
I love the size of the 140 personally and I had a 2008 klx110 before this and it was fun but my knees always hit the bars and I don't have that issue with tbis bike ans its more enjoyable to take on smaller trails with other littke bikes.
@@Garcias_garage724 thanks for your response and wish you the best
I had a feeling that was Red n Tacky. My go-to greases for just about everything are either Red n Tacky or Super Lube, depending on application
Both solid choices 👌
wrong.
What exactly is wrong lol this is a basic adjustment.
What's wrong is the young girl crossdressing playlist you have on your channel 🤣
Thank you. Made the process easier and enjoyable
Super helpful thank you!!
thank you so much bro!!
What head light is that ?
Just a small led light off Amazon I don't remember exactly but I think it's like 5 inches or so
You adjust it every year? I think its time for a new power steering case
It's on the list. It still drives perfectly fine I just like to keep it snug without any steering slop.
Id rather over maintain my truck than overlook something and have it break at a bad time
That is the incorrect adjustment to be made for the symptoms you are describing. The proper adjustment point is on the input shaft, requires a spanner wrench or long needle nose pliers. Look up the proper steps for adjusting play in a Saginaw steering box and follow those, you won't be prematurely wearing the pitman shaft and having to adjust it yearly.
@@BuffaloBasquo this adjustment isn't incorrect it's just another way to do it, I check play every 1/4 turn at the steering wheel so I'm not pulling the steering shaft out. I do it yearly to keep everything nice and snug with the driving I do and how old the steering box is. Yes I need a new one but a kryptonite front end is coming first since. This keeps my 280,000 mile Duramax driving almost like new so I'm gonna keep on doing it 👍
Thanks!
Nice location
Thank you! It’s gonna be handy once I get the spare tire swing out on there 👍
Happen to have links to the jets you purchased? New to this world and not quite sure how to figure out which jets will fit the carb.
www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/tusk-cold-start-jet-kit-p
@@Garcias_garage724 Much appreciated, thank you.
Update!!!! After sitting most of the winter and a no start condition I finally got the tusk cold start kit and rejected and cleaned the carb and wow what a difference! I posted another video going into a little more detail if anyone is interested.
I don't understand how y'all have no start issues during the winter. I've started it in 5°f weather. Just hold the gas when starting keep it in 4-5k rpm until it idles on it's own with the choke on
@@brokengamerkid5907 not every bike is in the same condition or same elevation and climate. The cold starting wasn’t horrible before but it’s much better now. If I had to open up the carb anyways might as well jet it to run better. If you haven’t jetted it you are missing out on some power for sure.
@@brokengamerkid5907 the point of the choke is you can start it and not have to rev the hell out of it while it’s cold it’s worth the $15 and 30 minutes to change I promise.
Can someone say what kind of grease and what is the name of that pump? Is there a separate attachment you have to get for the end of it?
It’s just a standard grease gun from any part store 👍 I always use the Lucas red and tacky grease.
Good video. I always wipe off the fittings first.
I need to make a better habit of that. This is like the 3rd tip I’ve put on this grease gun 😅
It really is a perfect Lil bike
Yeah i can’t argue that they are awesome little machines! I can’t lie this thing has seen some abuse from me and it hasn’t skipped a beat.
another update: i havnt had the problems since then so im not sure if there was moisture built up in the tcm or fuse block somewhere but ive made more of an effort to drive it more often and not let it sit very long to be safe. Its been perfectly reliable and functioning since these electrical hiccups.
Not too bad of a Duramax
5 years later and its been a great truck for me.
I can never park where all fittings are reachable like that
This took me a few tries tbh 😂
Park truck on level ground, put chocks 6" in front AND behind wheels. Put truck in neutral, use pry bar in the ujoint to rotate it by moving truck forward and back
Diesel guys be failing NNN
I ran out of lotion and started using 15/40 lol

@@Garcias_garage724I grabbed the pb Blaster I like the burn
Anyone with this issue should look into proper jetting for your elevation. It’s the only way to fix the issue and you won’t regret it.
I read somemore reviews so have to add this, trust me, the stock jets are to small. We live in Idaho so in and it totally makes the bike run the way it should anytime of the year regardless of temp. plus you dont have to sit and let the bike warm up forever
The gf is done riding for the winter but it will for sure be getting properly jetted by next spring 👍
these bikes are notrious for idle and cold starring. issues with my wifes 140G and friends wife bike. First thing I do is call up Rocky Mountain ATV and get a cold start jet kit.Idle jet is to small as well as the maim. Hope this might be of help
