Triumph Bonneville T100 | Eton to Balete | Diwata Nature Resort Breakfast Ride Part 1
This is my first proper long rider with MotorRepublic. Great bunch of people also, great bikes. We are on our way to Diwata Nature Resort in San Pablo Laguna. This is the SLEX and STAR tollway leg. It took about 30 mins from Eton to Balete exit in STAR Tollway. We're not speeding at all.

It was my first time participating and supporting the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. I didn't know anyone there but it was quite fun, overall. There were a wide array of bikes that participated from classic to modern Triumphs, Vespas, BMWs, Ducatis, Royal Enfields, Indians, Harleys, etc. Also, linen shirt and jacket were the correct choice because it was 33C that morning. #dgrmnl2024 #dgrmanil...

Recently got into bicycles so I can be a little more physically active. I forced myself to get up early and do some cycling around Yishun Parks. There were a couple off uphills where my legs burned. They're not that steep but still tough for me. I really need to start doing more exercises.

I recently got a bike and decided to break it in with a 22Km ride to Yishun Dam and Waterway point and back along with my friends. It's my first time cycling this distance and I didn't expect that it's really fun. It was a hot sunny afternoon in Singapore as always but it's better than cycling in the rain.

For the past few months, I really wanted to record better audio for my rides. So I took the opportunity of me bringing my bike for a wash to try and do some audio recording tests. I have a Zoom H1N audio recorder with a dead cat and I can't get a decent audio out of it. It's mostly because of I can't figure out where to place it. I tried inside my backpack, it's too muffled. I tried my jacket p...

After buying a few porksilogs from Tuding's (they're so good), it's time to go back to Manila. There is something burning when I joined the express way and idk, it was just totally a shocking thing to see.

I didn't notice my GoPro was not levelled and panned but eh, I'll just upload it anyway. I was riding south to Calamba, Laguna (about 53km south of Manila) to run some errands. The weather was perfect. It's sunny but the breeze is quite cool. It was a fun ride plus I saw a cool guy with an awesome bike (I think it's a Royal Enfield Classic 500 chrome) along the way at around the 28-minute mark.

I slipped on ice within five minutes of walking in Otaru. It's winter and we were walking down to the famous Otaru Canal from Otaru station. After that, we explored some parts of Otaru and made our way to the Music Box Museum. The weather was nice and the whole journey was overall relaxing.

hindi po ba sya ma vibrate?
hindi naman. may vibrations kapag mataas ang rpm pero manageable.
nice and chilled ride. which cam do you use? greetings from Germany
Hello. I'm using a GoPro Hero 10 for this one. I think i set it to 30fps with max ISO to 800.
good city ride ! i have an xsr 155, hello from Vietnam !

Just started in motorcycling and I've got my speed 400 a week ago, I haven't have my ORCR yet but I do ride at late night so I can avoid checkpoints around commonwealth area and so that I could feel the bike and doing some break in. I've gone to Triumph Greenhills twice, first I paid my reservation for my bike and second for claiming it. I asked the agent on same occasions for Bonnie T100 but they say they don't have stock atm, coz T100s according to them sells like hot cakes. I know in myself that this would be my next bike and my end game bike even. just opted myself saving more for this bike as first I need to start at smaller cc and second it's really pricey, but I think I would be getting this bike for the next few years. did you do reservation for the bike?
Hey man, congrats on the Speed 400! How is it? To answer your question, yes I did pre-order my T100. They asked for Php100K down and took around 6 months. They will say 2-3 months but it was actually 6. It was a long wait. My ORCR took another 3 months. You can ask them for you MV file number so you can have a temporary plate made and it will at least give you the peace of mind to ride around. See you on the road. Ride safe!
@@marconinelives hey man, enjoying the bike so far. I felt a bit naughty last night and test its power and boy it is capable. just don't like the super short gear ratio from 1st gear to 2nd gear and a bit of 2nd gear to 3rd gear. that why almost all the time I'm in 3rd gear. but all in all the bike's great. obviously haven't tried it in expressways yet but I guess it will do good. btw may I know about the T100 as well? ride safe brother.
Short gears must be annoying in traffic. My T100 is still great 1 year in. Actually feels better because it's already completed its break in period and can rev it higher than 4k. Gears are quite long. 1st to 2nd is like 0-60kph. So in the city i rarely reach 3rd but on open roads this is fun.
@@marconinelives yeah, short gear ratio is a bit annoying but since this is my first bike I'm getting used to it. and you say T100 1st gear is 0-60kph? what? so you mean you almost always stay at 1st gear in Manila heavy traffic? would it not hurt the bike? I mean with kind of traffic that we have, pretty much manual bike riders would almost always stay in first gear but what if you already have a space to pull the throttle and gun away, I mean say you're running at 10 - 20kph in traffic congestion then when you have a clear road you still have like 30-40kph left before switching to 2nd gear. I mean 50-60kph is already fast. with my bike I should switch to 2nd gear right away so that my engine would not complain. literally I need to switch up in split seconds.
yeah 0-60 on 1st is really possible if i want to get up to speed quickly. but yeah i shift to 2nd at like 30-40 for a smoother ride. so in manila traffic i just go 1-2, rarely 3 and up. besides, this is too heavy for day-to-day in the city anyway so i just stick to scooters. :)
matigas ba yung upuan nya?
Not at all. Malambot.
Hello! Just watched majority of your ride POV videos. Pretty great! Been eyeing this bike for a while. Just wanted to ask how your T100 is holding up after a few months? Are there any notable problems you've encountered?
I have this bike for a year already. Honestly still feels brand new. No issues whatsoever apart from the clicky noises in the rear tyre. Brought it to Triumph to check what's causing it, they said it's the rear brake and just needs cleaning. Now the clicky noise is gone. Great bike.
@@marconinelives Thank you so much! On the fence really if I'd get this one or the speed twin. I'd try to get more info about the twin but thanks for your input! Will definitely help me on deciding which one I'd buy
@@marconinelives Hello again! Just wanted to ask if you got the t100 at the BGC branch or GH branch? And how were their services so far? Mixed reviews kasi from both BGC and GH
@kratosassassin5234 @kratosassassin5234 BGC branch but they are both under the same group. After sales is quite bad. It's taking them forever to order the parts needed to fix my bike. So I dropped my bike last June and got some cosmetic damages on the left side. Nothing major except for the bent gear shifter. It's now 3+ months of waiting for the parts and still nothing. Very difficult to get updates from their staff too. I got feedback from other owners too. One guy said a spare key took 3 months to arrive. I heard one case same as me but for a Triumph Trident, 4 months and parts are still incomplete. So yeah, great bikes but after sales is terrible.
@@marconinelivesdamn did not expect bad after sales from them. Sayang na you still can’t use the bike after several months. Will definitely take this into consideration! Thank you!
Your bonnie also makes the clacking noise I have as well. I never get used to all the mechanical noise of this engine. Does yours vibrate at all in the higher rpms? You have great roads to ride there.
yeah I can feel the vibrations starting at around 4500rpm but not too bad. the clacking noises are annoying tho. I brought it to the dealer to check where it's coming from. They said it's from the rear brake and should disappear after cleaning. I haven't heard the clacking recently but it could be because I'm already used to it.
@@marconinelives the clacking in mine is more engine related as it changes with rpm. Vibrations for me start weak at around 4k but go to vibrator from 5k onward
This healed my depression ❤
What year is this bike? Thanks!
I'm not sure actually. But it's brand new and purchased this year.

Should have bought a 125 you ride like a oussy
ask ko lang if ano height mo boss? nag-cacanvass kasi ako ng bikes na pwede for a short king (5’5)
same as you
@@marconinelivesNafa-flat feet mo yan sir at 5’5?
hindi. tiptoe na kasi yung upuan niya malapad.
Do you speak tagalog bro? Plano ko bumili ng t100, how about sa weight nya na 228kg mahirap ba sya sa traffic?
Hello! Ayos naman siya sa traffic, wag lang yung talagang endurance level na traffic. Mababa yung center of gravity niya tapos mababa yung seat height so hindi masyadong problem yung weight at madali din isingit. Although nakakapagod pag puro traffic tapos mainit. Sobrang lakas din nya sa gas pag stop and go traffic unlike pag highways matipid sya. Conclusion, ok siya na weekend bike for long rides. Possible sya pang daily pero may better options specially considering yung traffic satin.
Would be better if the lights is rechargeable but i love the look
I agree
Raw sound … don’t think we got above quarter throttle or above 3 grand on the tach the entire time. If you like torture watch this video.
parang ang labo at ang liit ng nasasakot ng headlight, or sa video lang ganyan?
yes medyo narrow nga yung headlight nya. ok naman yung liwanag, sa video exaggerated yung dilim.

I don't have the exact number but it feels significantly lower than highway mileage

Thanks again for all the info from before. Bikes are such objects of desire. Perhaps some things to consider for future videos that most vloggers ignore? The simple voyeuristic pleasures in a) how a bike is washed. b) The sound of gas filling up a tank - will it splash out?. c) Gas prices and services at PI gas stations - such a novelty for those of us outside. d) a 360view so we can see the entire bike. just some thoughts. Any mods in the future? keep it up.
Thanks for the great inputs! Will keep them in mind. I personally am not keen on adding too much mods on this bike. It's perfect as it is. I've only installed a radiator guard so far and planning on getting a pannier rail on one side for my bag. Probably a leather saddle too. Nothing else apart from those.
nice bike
Good job !
I really like your video in that you share the ride without a ton of commentary. It really gives a more genuine feel for what being on the bike is like. (suggestion: maybe put that in the title or a short preface to the video so that those who are used to more talk will know what they're getting into- not complaining, just thinking of a wider viewer base). Too many vids are 'reviews' where the presenter feels the need to go over every last detail and talks over the actual performance of the bike. Spare me: I've already done all the research on the specs. I've been looking to buy a bike and your video clinched the T100 for me. It checks all the boxes for someone looking for an "only one" bike. I appreciate your defensive driving skills as well! Reminds me of my own style of riding. Keep the videos coming. I've no doubt your base will grow! Oh, and subscribed!
Thanks for subscribing! And thank you for the insights. I never thought of it that way and you are right, I should add that to the titles for people who are not looking for too much detail. And that is what my vision is for my channel like, give people a sense of what it's like to ride different bikes. Enjoy your soon-to-be T100! It's definitely a keeper. Watch out for my next video where I installed a separate audio recorder for the exhaust and you can here it better. Ride safe!
Nice vid po ate
Dude! You're a good safe responsible rider. Smooth anticipation and merging. I'm ex-Pinoy hoping to go back soon. Help me out with some questions? After owning it now, your thoughts on the T100 vs Speed Twin900 vs.T120 (overkill for PI conditions)? How much did that run cost in tolls? How are traffic police and speed traps (can you go hooligan sometimes lol)? What's the cost of ownership over there (insurance, maintenance etc)? Lastly, dealers - is the advertised price all in, or are there dealer fees? Prices there seem to be 3-5k $$ more - weird considering Thailand is much closer. Sorry for the questions - just trying to get real-world info. Much appreciated. Keep up with the videos.
Hey man! Thanks, I try my best to be as defensive as possible. These are great questions and hopefully I can answer them clearly. 1. T100 vs T120 vs SpeedTwin 900 - for me the T100 is the sweet spot. It's lighter than the T120 which makes it easier to maneuver. The engine feels great, not underpowered at all. Although the T100 doesn't have a cruise control, 6th gear, and riding modes but honestly, I don't mind. Except maybe having a cruise control would be nice. Also, T120 has a bit more power but you can't really go that fast on these type of bikes because of the wind resistance you'll feel past 100Km/H. The speed twin 900 is almost exactly the same as the T100 except that it has a higher revving engine and a more agressive riding position but overall same. 2. Toll cost - this whole stretch is Php214 (~USD3.8). Not too bad. 3. Traffic police and Speed traps - They are there but I've never been chased or stopped. Maybe because I dont ride that fast. I only go up to like 120Km/H max. I think they start apprehending above 140. 3. Cost of ownership - My bike is less than a year old so I can't say for sure. But my last maintenance cost me around Php6000 (-USD100) for an oil change. Though, the next interval is after a year or 16,000Kms. Insurance is quite high like Php30000 (~USD540) annually. 4. Dealers' pricing - What they advertise is the cash price for just the bike. Then there is an additional fee on top to register your bike (around USD120? for a 3-year registration) then that's it. If you are going for financing, then it will be alot more expensive and rates depend on agencies. Hope to see you on the road!
Thanks! that really gives me a clearer picture. The fun part of watching your videos is that, yeah, I would ride that bike, and I'd ride like that. Hope to get settled later this year, gear up, and rediscover the old country. cheers.@@marconinelives
Watching this channel has been my turning point 😅❤
It’s awesome having to hear the engine only thanks for sharing it’s really satisfying when I can’t get out on mines sounds👌🥰
Glad you enjoyed it! The Bonneville exhausts sound great. I'm going to try to improve the sound recording so it's extra satisfying.
What do the double solid yellow lines mean? In American they mean do not cross, but everyone seems to be crossing them. Beautiful ride!
Good question. I'm assuming you are referring to the double yellow with a solid white in the first half of the video. They are called Mixed Double Lane Divider. In this road, it leads to an exit. You are correct, no one should be crossing it.
Superb man ...! I can't express how Enjoyable your videos are...❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Whats BGC??? Thanks

that's so cool! this is one of its grandchild
This was my 1st bike and couldn't sell it bec it's just too perfect for metro traffic😄
I agree! It's light and quick.
How long have you had the T100? Do you think the T120 is overkill for PI traffic and roads? good job.
Only 7 months I think. I'd say both T100 and T120 are not for like daily commutes. they're heavy and the gear ratios are too long. T120 is heavier tho so T100 is a bit easier for daily commutes.
