The weather looks a lot better than I would expect. I had a chance to work in Antarctica as a contractor, but turned it down. Good thing I did, my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer 2 months later and passed away 10 month later.

Looks like this guy is doing a ok Air Force job. But remember, the US has been operating from the McMurdo area since about 1956. Lots of creature comfort stuff has been added over the years. The real Antarctic experience is out in the camps living in a Scott tent, doing science. Helicopter pilots have a great job there. They get to almost all the out camps. The sights the helo pilots see are astounding, magnificent..
