Homesteading, renovating, regenerating and (off-grid) living of the land in Central Portugal.
Hello and welcome!
We are Jack and Ramona and are from the Netherlands. We just bought a homestead in Portugal (november 2023) and start our second fase of life. We are new to all of this and we will be failing and learning on the way to get there. We love projects and this one is the biggest so far.
We are a little bit crazy but that's why we do this. SO let's do this. :-)

Making our own pizza...jummy! But it really is a CHICK FLICK. Finishing the BIG OUTDOOR coop! Building a high fence of 1.75cm high. Hopefully that will stop them from flying away?

Two new baby chicks arrived at the coop! The other 3 were not happy with that… Our friends are over for nine days so we have a small holiday…NOT! The veggie garden en the chickens still need their attention. And WOW the guys build a very big chicken outdoor ren! There is plenty room for more chicks in the future… 😊 AND the boys are getting bored hahahaha. Hence the big outdoor coop! Just a lot ...

Finishing the cabana before our friends will arrive at our homestead in this hot weather! It's still a lot of work when it's 40 plus degrees outside! Are those footballs ...or fruits? So much food in this video, breakfast, lunch, BBQ's :-). And the arrival of Zoë after 6 months wonderful! And that's probably why this video is soooo hyper! Lestat wouldnt do much anymore and JImmy had a hurtfull paw. So we went to the vet. The dogs have got their medication now. Lestat is running like a new dog! Jimmy's paw is much better. Temperatures are rising and so is the cooking of meat with the new BBQ. Jack is fully engaged in building a chicken palace and it is already starting to come along nicely. Lestat is walking a lot despite the temperature and the painful joints in her knees.
