I am now on my 8th metro since first purchase of 1994 all have been 5 speeds and 300K mile cars before retiring will never own an Automatic Only a Stick 5 speed at 70 mph and 65 mpg do all of my own timing belt changes . Current model is a 1993 used as a tow car behind a Motorhome at 89,000 mi and was in storage since 2017 Looking forward to another great MPG car

Where can I get a Geo Metro to buy in 2023

I bought a new Metro 3cyl stick in 94. In 2 years I put 210K miles on it. I’d get off work in Salem, OR on a Friday evening and drive to Los Angles, CA. I’d sleep and jump in my pickup to read the meters on our oil wells. I’d leave early on a Sunday morning and drive back to Salem. It was 900 miles One way and took me 12 hours. The only time my Metro saw 55mph, is when I’d be going up to 85mph. Climbing the mtns, I’d be in 3rd gear on the floor. I could do the Grapevine in CA in 4th gear doing 65mph. After 2 years I hired someone to read the meters. That Metro was more reliable than my Honda. I never had a problem with that car. It ran like new 2 years later when I sold it.

Why Should You Buy My 1992 Geo Metro.

Got myself a 4dr 5spd 94 and logged 64mpg! Got it for cheap and just bought a 92 same running and using it for parts for the 94 so if anyone is interested in the 92 4dr auto let me know. Clean title in San Diego. Love live the GEOOOOOs

My 3/5 has 108k. No headlights, dents on all 4 sides, busted lt.rear brakelight, no ps, NoAc, no radio, No lighter, no headliner, manual everything, ...and I'm crazy about it...... Full gas tank last a month....

I learned how to drive stick in a 2009 Subaru impreza with the #3 cylinder blown out making no compression. It was just a little bit faster than the geo didnt get as good mpgs. Also had to feather the throttle while coming to stop or sitting at a light so it wouldnt die. And sometimes when you would put it in neutral to coast it would die or in a corner it would die

Nice video, but I'll stick my BMW 4-series. But, I did learn how to drive a stick using a 1990 2-door Geo Metro... and by learned, I mean I almost got killed 3 times in less than 30 mins and never drove a stick again.
