Can the Ubuntu Potato run Fortnite? (Episode 2)
In this video I got my Ubuntu potato out and tested it with different games. I wanted to test the laptop that now has Ubuntu to its limits by running different games. Some are small, some are big. Some need more power, some don't. The Ubuntu laptop handled most of those games like a champ but some of those games made the Ubuntu laptop go crazy and slow down. It was a fun and wild ride!

Will the Stanley Cup survive a RAM 1500?
Переглядів 644 години тому
In this video I wanted to push a Stanley Cup to its limits and see how strong it really is! I put that Stanley cup through many and many of tests to destroy it and prove the Stanley Cup is not as strong as it's being said to be. I was wrong. That Stanley cup was very strong. It took me multiple hammers, a tree, and even a RAM 1500 to destroy that thing. Dang... Timestamps: 0:00-Coming up 0:08-I...

You can get some DDR3 16gb RAM for cheap and if there is a reader, you can get a cheap SD card too for less than £100!
Easy way to disable Windows updates permanently: 1. Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box. 2. Type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor. 3. Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Policies > Microsoft > Windows 4. Right-click on the Windows folder, select New > Key, and name it WindowsUpdate. 5. Within the WindowsUpdate key, right-click, select New > Key, and name it AU. 6. Right-click on the AU key, select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value, and name it NoAutoUpdate. 7. Double-click on NoAutoUpdate, set its value to 1, and click OK. That's it! This disables Windows updates permanently.

So true. Btw, u don't have to tap the F2 key continuously. U can just keep pressing it until it enters into the bios (without lifting ur finger), it works. The delete button should also work. (idk about F12)
Noice.
Welcome to Linux
wow saved to watch later for after studying 🔥
Skill issue Use f12 and change boot sequence
Boot sequence to what exactly? It's not like he has a secondary Operating System. All options he has to boot into his SSD and do the update or make a new bootable USB and Boot into that to install new Windows.
I think it’s the enter key for the bios on Lenovo systems
@@Adrenaline0000 we ended up using f2 and it worked
0:50 bro get an SSD for 15$, the ram won't improve it
@HamzaHassan-q5m Oh good to know. I thought ram is what helps power the games and the SSD is the storage.
@JunkBox_Productions It's RAM, but your device is low end, so the RAM won't be affected much.
@@JunkBox_Productionsyea he’s right I am a pretty big computer guy and ram will not help much but a new ssd will help a lot and make sure you buy a ssd and not a hdd,a hdd is a spinning hard drive but a ssd is a non spinning drive
The best thing to upgrade is a cpu but on most laptops you can’t do that.

@JunkBox_Productions dude try ggos or atlas os or revi os or tiny 11 i recommend those os's
Windows is NOT the problem for getting into the BIOS!!! 😡💻 You can get into the BIOS whenever you want, and it’s NOT Windows' fault! Even if you’re using Linux/Ubuntu 🐧, the process is the same. 🔑 It all depends on your manufacturer (HP, Dell, ASUS, etc.) and how old your laptop/PC is. ⚠️ If your PC is strong 💪 enough to handle Windows properly and you can use it without major issues, just stick to Windows! It’s the best choice for gaming, productivity, and ease of use. 💾🖥️ 🌱 BUT if you’re struggling with Windows because your system is slow 🐢, outdated, or you find it hard to maintain, then Ubuntu or another lightweight Linux distro can be a great alternative. It’s fast, efficient, and easier on older hardware. --- 🚫 Why You Shouldn’t Switch to Ubuntu or Linux Distros (If You Don’t Have To) 🚫 1. 💔 Driver Compatibility Issues: Most hardware drivers are built specifically for Windows! Linux might not fully support critical devices like your Wi-Fi adapter, GPU, or printer. 2. 📄 Software Limitations: Mainstream applications (like Microsoft Office, Photoshop, or Adobe Premiere) work BEST on Windows. Linux alternatives? Not as good or compatible. 3. 🎮 Gaming Problems: Love gaming? 🎮 Stick with Windows! Many games won’t run on Linux, and even with Proton or Wine, it’s hit-or-miss. 4. 🤯 Steep Learning Curve: Linux isn’t as user-friendly. If you’re not comfortable with command-line stuff or solving problems yourself, prepare for frustration. 5. 🔍 Limited Program Support: Professional or niche tools (like CAD software) often don’t have a Linux version, leaving you stuck. 6. ⚙️ Firmware Updates: BIOS/UEFI updates? Much easier on Windows since manufacturers provide Windows-specific tools. On Linux, you’ll probably need to jump through hoops. 7. 🛠️ Troubleshooting is HARD: Got a problem? Linux fixes often involve digging through forums, deciphering tech jargon, and endless Googling. Windows? Way simpler fixes --- 💡 Bottom Line: If Windows runs well on your system, stick with it! It’s easier, faster, and better supported. But if your hardware struggles with Windows, Ubuntu or Linux could be a practical alternative. Choose wisely based on your needs and PC strength! 💪✨ (And yes, I’ve tried this many times. I’ve fixed and booted different machines-PCs, laptops, mini PCs-you name it. When Windows is struggling, I personally use Ubuntu/Linux as a reliable alternative. But when the system is strong enough, I always stick with Windows for the best experience!)
Reason why there’s updates: 1. 🔒 Security Enhancements: Updates fix vulnerabilities to keep your PC safe from malware and cyber threats. 2. 🛠️ Bug Fixes & Stability: Resolves bugs, improving system stability and performance. 3. 🔧 Driver Updates: Includes the latest drivers for better hardware compatibility. 4. 🆕 New Features: Brings fresh features and tools to enhance your experience. 5. 📊 Software Compatibility: Ensures your system works with the latest apps and programs. 6. 📈 Performance Improvements: Optimizes system performance, like faster boot times and better battery life. 7. 🛠️ Automated Troubleshooting: Microsoft can detect issues and provide tailored fixes, improving your system’s health. --- You can also schedule or allow updates to run when you're not using your PC, so they don’t interrupt your work. This makes it easy to keep your system up-to-date without hassle!! --- In short, Windows updates ensure security, stability, performance, and compatibility, making it a reliable choice!
Cool Testing Video, I am just curious about some points. 1. Does it have an SSD or HDD, if it does have only SSD then no problem, but If it has HDD and SSD you want to make it sure that ubuntu is installed on the SSD. 2. Before installing anything always make this command in the terminal sudo -apt update, makes you system up to date. 3. You can see your system info by simply typing neofetch in the terminal. 4. Did you delete the Windows partition while installing the Ubuntu? That's all. Hope you achieve your dream of becoming a UA-camr. Always here if you need anything. [P.S- You should really consider making a Discord channel if you want]
1. We don't know but the Ubuntu is installed straight into the storage device or whatever from the USB. 2. Good to know. That will help. 3. Oooooooooo. Interesting. 4. Windows is completely gone. None left. Thank you for the support!
@@shivanshumaurya01 you can tell the guy is very smart and everything he is saying is true
Ok so you can't use OBS or you didn't download it well Ubuntu does use snaps witch is considered bad by many people
I think OBS is not going to run well even after he installs it correctly as the laptop only has 3.5 GB of RAM. even If he lowers the video resolution, there would no point in recording it.
Obs runs ģgreat through snaps have been very good since 23.10 and some snaps are even faster than their flatpak counterparts as long as they've been repackaged with canonicals recent tools that improve performance drastically

Lubuntu is a flavour of Ubuntu with lxde desktop that's light weight but you don't have to reinstall we could just tell you how to install the lightweight desktop ontop of your current installation instead of reinstalling Ubuntu from ground up with the lightweight desktop @@JunkBox_Productions

Altho i would recomend fedora with a light distro Theres is a different official "flavor" (version) of ubuntu called Lubuntu (LXQT ubuntu /light ubuntu) LXQT IS AN EXTREMELY LIGHT DESKTOP ENVIRONMENT It only requires 512mb of ram and 6GB of storage So next time try it out :D
Lenovo uses enter for the options menu and f12 for the boot menu 👍 Also for linux iso's use belana etcher to flash to a usb drive as rufus isn't the best for linux, also if the laptop has a hard drive (spinning disk) it would make it slower, getting faster storage (i.e; An SSD) it would be faster. Good choice for distro/flavor its a good computer newbie/linux newbie operating system 👍 If you need any help im more than happy! Cheers!
