Honest question. You have not found a front mount intercooler to be more efficient?
Using E85 it is efficient even for 1200 hp.
Drat! Now I have another thing to dream about doing to my '99 V6 Camaro.
I think i want one.
What size rim and tires and bk space on the rear
Pure awesomeness, what is the liquid blowing out of the tail pipe when you lay into it?
Wow of the gate it gained a lot!! I know what turbo I’m getting!
Omg!!! That turbo sounds amazing!!!
What a Beauty!! Looks and power to match a great build, congratulations.
Torque nearly matching horsepower is insane! What a great build!
Why no Stage 2 Heads? What are the advantages of Stg 2 vs Champion?
we are actually now running TA heads. Larger valves, more space between intake-exhaust valves. More material to support the HP.
Why not stage 2 heads?
@@flyonbyya I didn't have them and I have a champion intake that fits the heads. Don't need stage 2 heads.
THE perfect car!!!!!
She's on point for sure,,leaves great which is more than half the battle. Is that the M/T Pro or the R radial?
M/T 275 R radials.
Looks nice! I prefer the GNX dash
I have a question how much more maintenance is a transbrake?
1a
Are you dual feeding fuel rails?
No sir
@@SteelCityDrones what’s your set up
What does a new set of Champion heads cost.
springs and setup=4500$
Man let me know when you decide to sell. Love this build! Are you local to Injection Connection?
Why not Buick Stage 2 heads?
Fucking Awsone
Are they champion heads the new pair or TA performance?
Man that block looks sooooo good! With those 6 head bolts(per hole) you can run ALL the boost!!
What are you going to ask for the Champion Heads
$4500
Hey what up buddy I’m building a stage 2 153 block did you dual feed your fuel rails ? Or is not needed to make 1,000hp
At that level,,its not a bad idea,,,but,,people that have not done it dont report of having lean cylinders,, i would dual feed at that level
What type of transmission?
Thank you for keeping it Buick powered 😊
Stock block, Stage 1 or 2 or TA block?
TA block
My Grand National is putting out 900 horsepower and I thought that I was doing something.
And after a few months I thought mine is taking too long. Goodness!
I sent mine away at the end of 2019 and got it back a year later. Nowhere near this power...500hp/600tq. Everything touched on it.
The Buick guys don't believe in blow off valves.
Never showed quarter mile time.....
Because the car hasn't been to the track yet.
This is the very reason you don't LS swap a grandnational! A monster! Mine only makes 500hp on a stock rotating assembly with the flat tappet cam. I know it cost a pretty penny stock stage 2 block 5k.
This is technically the VERY reason you turbo LS swap. You make a lot more power for around 1/5th the cost. Plus it sounds better and much more streetable.
@@Lifewontwait29 I mean if you want to stay in the tradition of keeping a V6. Whats the max an LS can take? The stage 2 block is maxed out at 2000hp plus it weighs less. The fastest built stock block grandnational is 7.9 seconds the fastest unopened block is 10 seconds. When any car can get in the triple digit horsepower range it's just a win depending on what you want to spend.
This is a nice clean and big power motor build that is dialed. 💯
RIP Red Armstrong and Janie ❤️🙏🙏
Good info and comparison.. I just got the hpt 6466 and love it! @hptturbohploilafis
@1:32... Epic!
Great work! I need to get mine out of storage and take it for a spin.... Congrats!!!
Mine is at 600WHP, with a M/T 'R radial ,unless heated it will spin in second most all the time. First is useless. Can't imagine this on the street unless turned way down and a boost controller. My next few changes will put me close to 700WHP,,i think thats about it for the street unless some extensive suspension mods?
That is NASTY!!!! 😳
Awesome information. Do HPT make a good turbo to bolt to stock manifolds??
Yes they do.
sounds great
Beatifull....nice work
One day I will have me a clean 87 GN! Probably won’t be this rowdy, but I’m okay with that. This one is sick AF! Absolutely envious! Lol thanks for posting this video!
Impressive for a V-6 but you say its a street car will you ever be able stay full throttle because i see you breaking tires free before getting into power band
Boost management thru a CO2 controlled waste gate allows power to be ramped in as gently as you need for any given surface/traction.
