Just trying to get better at lock picking. Always remember to never pick a lock that isn’t yours or you don’t have permission to pick. It is just a hobby, don’t let it get you into legal issues.
(9 of ?) How to pick a lock: Intro to Dimple locks
A brief overview of dimples to cover the basics before we get into picking them.
IMPORTANT: do not pick a lock that you do not own or have the expressed permission of the owner to pick! Do not pick a lock that you use and rely on to function as it is intended. Check the legality of lock picking and locksport in your area and or region before starting your journey.

Nicely done
Nice time!
Hella nice!!!! Crushed all my hopes 😂😂😂
@@SeeStuDo we have till February, I’m sure you or someone will beat it.
Good stuff NICVT and good luck on your entry.
Thank you kindly
Nice peek into some of the rest of your life. That Baggy Blouse is fantastic. I do love the extra touches that people put on the challenge locks 😊
Awesome entry. I've not done any embroidery for decades....very cool. Beat of luck in the draw mate 🍀🤜🤛👍
Oooh, that's very cool. Nice, man
That's awesome. I did cross stitching for years when I was younger. I really enjoyed it. Your needlepoint looks really clean, I'm impressed!
12:13 wow! legitimate gluteous kicking right here
Great entry & brilliant idea combining the needle point with the challenge locks. Love it 🎉🎉 cheers 🍻
That embroidery is super cool and impressive.Clearly a man who works with his hands a lot!!master builder if ever Iv seen one!Great entry mate it’s good to get to know u better! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks! Nice to show off your operative work instead of speculative when we travel.
Very cool! I’ve debated embroidery or cross stitch but I have too many hobbies as is. Those look great!
Nice, alot of fine detail work there. That must take patience!
@@knowthebird they do, and they help you learn it. It’s very meditative doing it.
Thats really neat🤗🙌🏻✨️I love ittt❤Your a very talented man sir 😊Love your challenge locks as always too🎉
@@Lockjunkie I’ll make sure to do one for next one I send your way.
@NICVT_locks Oh wowww really 🙌🏻🙏❤️Thank uuu so much 💯💯I am just dying to try another one from ya 😅 Last one I really enjoyed and was a good one 👍 Also I have u down for a mailcall asap ,wanna send u couple CLs and some new swag ,just getting caught up lol 😆 Def git u down tho okkk❤️
@ I think vector potential is going to send my other Dimple CL to you next.
@@NICVT_locks Shirley Dimple?
@NICVT_locks Yesss I can't wait 😍
Thats fast homie 😮❤Very cool 😎 good luck in the challenge 👍 💪🏼
This is great, it's very therapeutic indeed, also of intrest: Every man had to understand not just (embroidery for insignia/patches in Military respects) but also to repair clothing, sails, tent fabric etc. - it's absolutely an essential skill to cultivate. I also rejoice daily. Thank you for sharing this brother Nic
It was my father that taught me to sew, I am thankful often that he did.
@@NICVT_locks me as well, thankful every day for these things!
Oh damn, Fortress call out
Just trying to give motivation haha
@NICVT_locks 🤣🤣🤣
Oh wow, that's amazing work!! Thank you so much for the entry
That's very quick, good luck. Nicely done 🎉 🎉 cheers 🍻
⚡️⚡️⚡️fast as lightning. Nice job. Are those serrated key and driver pins?
@@CroLlama drivers 2-5 are serrated, 1 is serrated spool. Key pins 2-5 are serrated and 1 is standard.
Awewome, you run through that pick!
Thanks! Once I figured out the “click” count for each pin it went quick
That was crazy fast!!
@@GrouchyLenny thank you!
Gonna have to have another go. Well done 🎉
Your comments are still invisible, join the club, happy days 🕺
Man that was quick!
@@TheLockDudeAbides thank you!
Great mail call! Good idea, send him one of your CL's in that white box! 😀
That’s a great idea
00:12:13 ! Most excellent. Theres this word that comes mind... Boom !
@@spontaneousdisintegration thanks!
Niiiice 🤘💪 Where can I find details to this challenge?
@@CroLlama we had to sign up for it, and were mailed the locks. They are called keyed alike. If you have a 5200 though, you can go for the speed pick record on LPU
@NICVT_locks oh, cool. Missed the sign up 😂 don't have it, but I am not yet at the speed picking level anyway 😁
@ you will be
Oh man, you think you can try picking that 5200 with toothpicks for me? I wanna have a chance 😂😂😂
I’ll see what I can do.
I am very happy it made it safely to you 😁 the container is from photo slides (almost ancient history now 😂) and Bane Sekulić is a founder of a lock company in Sombor, Serbia. Pronounciation is something like: Bah-nay Sec-cool-itch. Sombor was pronounced Correctly 😁🦙💪🤘 Also, love the thumbnail 😁❤️
At least I said part of it correctly, that’s a win for me lol.
@NICVT_locks I didn't mean to lecture (I appologize if it sounded like that), it was more of the-more-you-know type of thing 😁
@@CroLlama I didn’t take it as a lecture. I read it as you intended. I was just happy that said something correctly. I can’t tell you how many names I have butchered over the years when I get patients from the lobby.
Cool set of locks, I like that sticker book too!
@@knowthebird thanks! The pages are the same material as the backing on stickers, so you can peel them off and move them without losing any of the adhesive
@@NICVT_locksoh wow, that really is cool!
Nice mail call
DUDE! I that notebook for stickers is a great idea! I'm totally stealing it.
@@VectorPotential Amazon!
Nice mail call, dude!
That's a really good looking lock.
All his designs are top tier
Looks like just under 10 seconds (timestamp wise) Yeeeah baby!
@@spontaneousdisintegration thanks!
Missed this one when it dropped, smoooth speed pick NICVT. Impressive work
Thanks for the entry sir!
The bitting looks devlish
@@CroLlama I have to agree
@@NICVT_locks good luck 🫡
💪🏼❤ hey, I got #38 my friend! That’s kinda cool! 🫶🏼🙏🏼🤙🏼
@@IsamuSushi that’s is pretty cool!
Love 44delta, great shout
Thats cool and all but the key dosent match
Some of the lot are like that. It’s not 44 delta’s doing. The first run of logo locks I ended having a matching key number.
Nice. Looking forward to your new vid 🤘🦙 Also, big ❤ for The Queen
Definitely in my top 5 favorite songs of all time.
@NICVT_locks most definitely. I mean, most of their songs are pure gold, but Somebody to love really hits hard
Dimple locks is something I have not yet examined, I look forward to this
You'll either love them or hate them, then love them again 🎉🎉. Looking forward to more, cheers 🍻 had to hijack as no comments available again..bloody youtube
@gprider1525 yeah, it's odd, I figured out a fix for that. - Hit reply box. - hit back (out of reply) - repeat until 'add comment ' shows up - - addendum: If needed, type 1 letter on keyboard before backing out
@spontaneousdisintegration oh I do like a solution, I'll try that next time it comes up mate 👍
@gprider1525 I should add it works on my Samsung s10e & 7 can't verify for other devices. Cheers GP
When I gutted my 1100 for the first time, I went through the same thing and broke two springs. I improvised by using a battery as a follower and some tweezers from my iFix kit. Best of luck with your entry in the drawing! 👊
I think it would have went a little better if I hadn’t had the core in the vise. I that the Bible clamped. It was a mess haha.
Nice video man! Looks like you've gotten better at gutting.
Rize of the phoenix 🐦🔥🐦🔥🐦🔥 🤘🤘🤘
The Challenge lock element is certain to be one of the most enjoyable of Locksport. - I am intrigued by the pin variations & possibilities in particular. This is a great video brotherman NICVT
Well, when you make one I will be happy to pick it and share it with others.
@@NICVT_locks That is how it shall be then, providence allowing of course. - a bit more "level up" & I should be able to construct one
Great entry. Good luck in the draw 🤘
Thanks!
Sweet entry!!! Thank you, sir!!
Thanks!
Great demonstration & description of a 1st gutting experience. - the driver pins in 1100"s vary a bit it seems. I have seen images of all serrated driver pins/4 serrated, 1 spool & 1 standard etc.. - very useful information, good luck in drawing.
The all serrated ones are a pain.
@NICVT_locks I'll bet they are! The hideous green nemesis 74/40LOTO 'feels' like all serrated. - Definitely a nemesis lock
Is AL1100? Thats a Quick open ! - 'I am Still getting used to serrated pins. It just a matter of time/effort though .- cheers
@@spontaneousdisintegration it is. I have had that one the longest. It was what I used for green belt. You pick a lock enough it just becomes muscle memory
@NICVT_locks this is true
