The music and the atmosphere are ummatched

Tried Blops 6 after 5 years away from from online shooters. That gave me a craving for a Battlefield game, so I downloaded 2042. Last 15 minutes before the lag (on 97mb wifi!) and awful maps pushed me to uninstall. Downloading 4, based on this.

only played 1, but 1 is my most played game on steam

i recently got battlefield 2042 just cuz it was -92% and wanted to take a little break from battlefield V and play some modern shooter

I still play bf4 regularly it’s just best for me

The real question is how do we get the EA app for PC to launch and play the games with no issues.

I just bought battlefield 4 the other day on my ps4 and there still pretty good servers

Battlefield 1 > Battlefield 4> Battlefield Hardline > Battlefield 5> Battlefield 2042. Cant rank the first 3 because i never played them, but id rank them higher than 2042 most certainly, 2042 is soulless with a terribe atmosphere and horrible specialists. Hardline wasnt that bad, it didnt take itself too seriously and had a goofy chaotic charm to it, i feel 5 is refined and a decent entry but it isnt as fun and it takes itself too seriously with less randomness. Battlefield 4 is lehendary but someone Battlefield 1 is even better, the music, sound effects, maps, voice acting, the screams are unreal, and the operations is so immersive and everyone on your team has a special role without the stupid specialist addition 2042, BF1 is one of the greatest games ever made, and bf4 is just behind it

the first title of batlefield i got to experiece was 2042 and i liked the arcady feel but i was thinking of buying batlefield 5 because it is on a masive sale rn any suggestions?

IMO 2042 is the best BF game out there.

BF 1 and V have better balance in weapons/vehicles compared to 2042 IMO Like 1/V have OP weapons that are fun to use and much more unique variety. 2042 all guns are heavily "balanced" when there is a gun that feels really good they nerf it to fall in line with others so they're all just...samey and boring. Being that most are modern guns vs prototypes and experimental that 1/V play around with, modern guns again are all pretty much identical. Vehicles suck unless the driver/pilot is REALLY good. Anti armor/air weapons all suck too so when you do have a good driver/pilot they are OP and harass the opposing team the entire match cause you can't hit them or if you do, not enough to kill them if they aren't already low on HP. Love/Hate with 2042s hero/class system. BF1 had an epic campaign. BF V has the better multiplayer IMO 2042 is kinda just...there I guess. Not bad but not great either. On sale I'd recommend if you just want to experience the latest entry and want more modern if you're tired of 4. I agree with the arcadey feel it has, its like its been "Call of Duty'd" in some way.

Give me a BF game with Frostbite like destruction like BFBC2. BC2 was the last good BF game, I haven't touched any of the new ones.

if hardline did a remaster so many people would play it. THe game mechanics and the whole cops vs robbers was fantastic. Its sad theres no servers anymore I played that game a ton on 360 and one. The campaign was nuts! The guns were well rounded as well. HAving a shootout from rooftop to rooftop was insane,

BF1? it's not as good as i thought after like 5+ years but BF5 yes it's probably the best BF right now to invest time.

BFV is super fun whether u wanna play snipers, rifles or sub machine guns. Maps are meh but some are good

If EA & DICE did a BF3 remake, they would have a infinite money glitch.

if only DICE would move away from EA and restructure their entire studio, and hire a CEO that ACTUALLY PLAYS BATTLEFIELD instead of some idiot running it for the money

I just bought BF1 and BF5 on sale on steam, but I remember playing Vietnam when I was younger. My all time fav is BF3. BF4 was just riding on its coat tail, but was great as well. BF3 was epic for its time. Best of the best imo. I have a lot of time into 2042 and its the closest you can get to 3 and 4 with being a newer game. I recommend 2042 if the old styled wars isnt your style.Dont listen to bro about 2042... its legit and is better than 95% of games out there. Period. Btw... I just bought BF5 for 6 bucks. Im here to decide which one to start with first between 1 and 5

2042 vehicles and espacially jets is extremly fun but everything else about this game is disapointing

I played this DLC more than the rest of the game. This was the best! BEST! they did not bring this DLC to division 2 and after playing the story, and events in life, I stopped playing D2. IF THEY HAD SURVIVAL I most likely would have kept playing. Now, in 2024 trying to join this mode in division 2 is long and it's next to impossible to get a team. THIS IS SO SAD!!!!!!

Bad Company 2 is the only appropriate answer. Had the braindead idiots at Dice kept making maps that you could blow up everything then maybe id say BF3 or 4, but the maps, on the whole, only went downhill after they started focusing on stupid levolution set pieces.

BF3 was great. BF4 was alright. BF one was fkn beautiful. B42024 was fkn horrendous.

Im so happy to have witnessed every single one of these games at their peak, up until BF5 that is. BF4 is my absolute favorite though, nothing will ever be quite like it again

I honestly can't understand why some people slate this game? I too started playing this game in 2024 and I think it's a great game. There is things that piss me off but that's to do with other players not the game itself. It has beautiful backdrops and cool maps, iconic Star Wars music with iconic weapons and characters, you can use vehicles, wildlife, you can speed, fly through space and or have galactic dog fights, the maps are very well done, the characters are all there, all as is needed after that is to be somewhat a fan of Star Wars and you will find something you will like. And all that from a game brought out in 2017 is very good indeed, so much so that it beats some games of today imo. If you are a fan of SW already then I have no doubt that you will have at least some good fun. Tatooine at night is brilliant in the forest, Hoths frozen landscape in the day is also top trumps. Geonisis is good, I can honestly say all maps are good but some are small and more boring but still I like them. I hope one day that DICE/EA take up another project for a Battlefront III because if one ever is made and it turns out to be Ubisoft that makes it I won't wanna know.

As someone who has never played battlefield before, i got BF1, BF4 and BF2042 all on sale and gave them all a try to make a comparison. BF4: Pretty decent and solid gameplay, graphics aren't too bad considering the time the game came out, I think it holds up fairly well. Multiplayer in my opinion can be a bit hard to get used to considering that a lot of players are old players and tend to know the game like the back of their hand, so to get yourself accustomed to it can be a bit rough starting off, but it's fun once you do. BF2042: I sadly couldn't recommend this one. The gameplay can be fun at times, but I don't feel the sense of immersion or focus into this game that I have for other FPS games. The UI is something I had a sweet spot for, I loved the futuristic design and aesthetic the game had, but that's as far as I can really go in terms of what I liked about the game. It's an ok game for a huge discount but even then, I got Titanfall 2 for like $2.99 and it is 10x better of a FPS game in my opinion. For the price BF2042 was on discount tho, it's at least worth trying out. BF1: Oddly and weirdly enough, this was the battlefield game that I bought out of the three that I thought I was going to enjoy the least, but as it turns out I love old style World War games, especially shooters. The atmosphere, the graphics, the immersion, Campaign opening, all of it was a spectacular experience for my first time playing this, and would highly recommend this game, even at full price, but getting this on a discount is a MUST, and well worth it. This ended up being my favorite out of the three. I have not had the chance of trying out Hardline or BFV, I don't think I will be interested in hardline, but I will definitely give Battlefield V a try when I get the chance. overall: BF4: 7/10 BF2042: 5/10 BF1: 9.5/10 BF Hardline: N/A BFV: N/A
