Переглядів 11621 день тому

But who was he? Alan Ramsay, from Roots & Wings Design, said the memorial was a sort of metaphor for the North East - like the Czech folk hero -...

That's cool, it is an amazing place
Good video. Thanks for showing us the sights, good video stay safe 👍.
Absolutely belter Great video. Stay safe 👍
I saw this last year and had expected it to be rubbish as so many of these sort of events turn out to be but it was amazing. Loved every minute of it. Well worth the money.
This brings back memories, I went to school at Wyggeston Girls (now QE College) just across the road on Regent St. We had tortuous cross-country running in Vicky Park!
This is beautiful thank you🎉
Thank You
Greetings from czech republic! Nice video about Zimmerman 👍
Ta muchly Geordie, the 1st floor door helped me laugh. Obviously they assumed he was born in Newcastle because it's the centre of the universe. That's just how life is 🙏

@@Fredmaxwelline you will love it.
@@ThroughaGeordieLens I’m sure I will! 😊 The way you showcased it makes it even more tempting to visit. Thanks for the inspiration-can’t wait to experience the magic of Fethiye for myself! 🌊✨
@ThroughaGeordieLens Your channel has the potential of growing better, have you taught of any method that could help?
Thanks for an unusually warm and sunny trip out. Also some very canny claes! It reminds me of the quayside market in the 80s. No health and safety at all but nobody cared and very few people ever got ill, much. In case it helps anyone, 100 Turkish Lira is about £2.23.
Excellent upload
love the music this voice is sweet
Nice , however i have some startegy i will like to share with you
"What’s the hardest moment you've ever experienced while creating content, and how did it change you as a person?"
Hiya Geordie, thanks again. I'm confident those rocks in front of Dunstanburgh castle are limestone or sandstone at least in part. That makes them relatively soft so the sea shapes them into approximate balls by repeatedly banging them around. Best way I can think to put it. 😺
You don’t sound well mate!
@@robbringbackthe50s10 got a bit of a chest cold mate
My home town where I live. During lockdown we would wander around different locations and this was one of them. Amazing to think it was right there all along.
Cheers Kevin, I remember watching pubs starting to close in the late 80s along scotswood so I got myself some black n white Oxford film & took my camera along there taking pics of the hydraulic crane, crooked billet, robin adair, etc etc & some other places of interest along the way. Cheers for video 👍🏆
Craster Kippers are far more tasty than any others! Why was there a car parked in front of the lifeboat? That seems odd 🤔
Mickle Carr and Muckle Carr are the two natural rocks just off the harbour.I first holidayed in 1952 as a 5 year old and every year after for over a decade. In. those days tin the harbour. There were about 4 cobles, fishing boats, and the highlight of the holiday was getting up early 4 or 5 am and going down to the harbour to go out on a coble while they went to sea to pick up their crab pots, replenish them with fresh bait , extract the crabs and put them back in the sea for tomorrows catch. Bartie Dawson, Billie Smailes, Black Eric Archbold were the "captains" of the Cobles that I can recall. Edward Grey had the Postoffice.. Happy sunny summers, walks along the. Heugh to Colour Nose point and Earl Howes bathing hut. I recollect that on that route was the remnants of a WW1 German Submarine, long since disappeared. Walking in. the other direction towards Dunstanburgh Castle is lovely walk, containing a natural swimming pool in the rocks and lots of pools to investigate. Craster is a wonderful place, Thank you for rekindling memories for me! Oh I think that the stone from the quarry, now a car park, was shipped to the Wear where it was used to build Roker Pier? Ineed to check this fact.
The Kippers were delicious, the best and most flavoured kippers I have ever tasted and I would recommend you to try them.😋
What weather like they middle of April
@lorettamcdonald7284 sunny, low 20s need a jumper or sweater for evenings.
It was a student halls when I used to pass it. It was very popular as I remember. The bit of greenish space and centrality of it to the toon make it a great place for affordable housing. It seems a fitting use of the keelmen's investment, too. Interesting stuff, thanks again 😺
Ballast Hill...fascinating!
Thanks for the history lesson Geordie, that looks well worth a visit 😺
Wow I’ve been there
Another great and very interesting video!
Beautiful! And great music choices, too.
Interesting stuff! The overhead footage helps give a sense of the scale of that place. It's decades since I've been there. Thanks 🙏🙌
Cracking stuff Reminds me of being introduced to them by my dad in the 1980s. Thanks for the drone 😺
such paceful place, but people must fight back before muslim and African immgration ruined this country
Cracking stuff, thanks! Some great views and what we've been able to do with acoustic mirrors is fascinating if you're into that kinda thing. Most often the wind likely isn't your fault, and it's not a problem 🙌🙏
Amazing! I'd never even heard of this castle. Thanks for spotlighting it. The drone shots really help with this sort of video, to get an idea of how it all fits together. Well done!
It's interesting you remind us this place was built and rebuilt at a time when people would steal bricks to make their own houses. Many thanks for the drone footage too.
Anybody remember O Keefe’s? Was it The Grove next door?
Worked at the Top Rank on the High Street when I was a student, used to drink at the Blue Bell, The Metropole and an Irish Bar which I cannot remember the name of!
These videos always make me want to move to the UK!
Eeh, the Tan Hill! I used to walk around there in the 80s. It doesn't seem to have changed much (lively and busy as ever!) which is nice. 😺
That's a very posh Costa and the L'al nook micropub thing looks interesting. I may have to have a look over there. I'll avoid bank holidays! Thanks again 😎
That music! And the voices echoing, almost like ghosts...this one is really atmospheric.
This castle was always private when Lord Ravensworth was my grandparents employer and land lord they let my grandparents live in the castle next to the clock tower and still lived there until they passed on I grew up playing in the court yard with my brothers and sister and cousins until the 1970s when my grandparents passed on the flats fell into ruins along with the rest of the buildings and is now owned by another land owner who is a farmer I think xx
My family were the last to live and work at the castle for Lord Ravensworth they moved out in the 1970s the main part of the castle was demolished in the 1950s
I used to love riding my bike around there, from Cruddas Park. Got a nice black & white shot of the bridge still that I took almost 30 years ago. Been living in NZ for the past 20 years so its nice to see it in your video :)
Fascinating little building, but how on earth did they get the hearse through that door?
@@TheDungeonMinister There was another door around the side

Thank you for making these videos. I really enjoy the natural beauty and history of Britain!
The drone pics are awesome! beautiful.
Bamburgh castle and beach are a beautiful hidden gem around here which far too few people visit in my opinion. Thanks for the publicity. Is that your drone? Seems new. Nice angle 😎
Another excellent and interesting video! Thank you.
Fascinating! Just subscribed.
Used to cycle across the half moon bridge regularly on trips from me house in St Peter’s Basin to me parents house in Riding Mill. Was always a pleasant bike ride, And yes,I stopped off in Wylam for a pint or three more than once!
These videos are both interesting and relaxing. Makes me want to move to the UK!
