Homemade Laundry DETERGENT, not SOAP! Yuk!
I have 4 week old raw milk that is really lumpy. Does have a bad smell. Is it okay once it gets to this stage?
Great update. Thank you.
Sour Raw Milk (Clabber) is the best natural medicine for constipation.
@amypirnack how much does this make? I know you are re-using a small all detergent bottle which is great! Ty in advance.
This recipe makes a quart, but I have switched to making it by the half gallon and putting it in a glass jug to avoid hormone disrupting chemicals leached from the plastic jug. Hope that helps! Thanks for tuning in!

This was super helpful. Thank you so much!
Sour milk is like a dish which ppl consume with some boiled or cooked potatoes, like whole eastern europe and russia consumes it daily
Thanks... So why wouldn't I just put those two products directly in my laundry rather than mixing with water first?
Well, I guess you could, you would just have to work out the portion of each ingredient that you were going to use for each load. I think one batch is something like 64 loads? It would be a pretty small amount of each ingredient, but it’s probably doable. A third of a cup divided by 64? 🧐😅 Let me know how it goes!
@@Amypirnack Okay I'll have a go at it. You're making a pretty small batch that just fits back in the bottle so I think that's pretty resonable (unlike the other recepies I've seen where they're making 5 gallons). It seems silly to me to take such convenient compact ingredients and then add five gallons of water to it. So I'll come up with the amounts for a load and then some sort of little spoons for moving the ingredients into the machine. I guess I could start adding the water to the machine, toss in the ingredients and add the clothes once I'm convinced it's disolved... It might take me a while since when I just checked for those two ingredients on amazon it was crazy expensive. So I'll keep my eyes peeled in my local shopping places for them. Also I'm gonna be on vacation for a bit so I'll start this project when I return...
@@DarcyWhyte sounds fun! 🙂 have a nice vaca!
Love this ❤
Besties ❤️
What fun! My son and I received a monthly box from a similar company for a few years. We loved opening the box together and I treasure those family memories. 💙🇮🇱🕊️
Wonderful!
Hi Amy, thanks for taking time to share your journey! ❤
Yes and Amen. Bless you sister, good word.
How fun! I didn't even know that was a thing. Shalom
Born on June 30th 😊
One time my milk turned in to Kurds before spoiling and it didn't taste sour but I spilled it down to drain just because it was solid. Buy it wasn't raw milk.
Raw milk sour. It clabbers. Fresh milk spoils. They are both different. One has no bad bacteria and the fresh milk will have lots. I make my farmers cheese from my raw milk.
I really enjoyed your video about making laundry detergent which I use in our home. All of those items you mentioned would be interesting to watch. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this! I just discovered your first recipe as I was researching an hour ago. I’m so glad I found this. I do think that’s a significant savings, however I’m also looking at no nano plastics from plastic jugs, no chemicals, it’s so much better for our bodies as well as the environment. I can’t wait to make this as soon as I get my Sal Suds! Thank you so much. I am now going to be a subscriber! 😊
So glad it was helpful! We are also trying to get rid of all plastics and find filters that actually filter water well enough to get rid of the micro plastics… I should really just use a Glass mason jar for the detergent…I didn’t even think about it! Thanks!
Thank you for taking time to research a detergent recipe that is not harmful.😊
Very cool. Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤️🔥 🖖🏻!
Good family, good family kitchen, great.

Who can relate 😂
Oh a new recipe!
How dare you suggest I should just stay at home and not be stressed out by the business of the world!! 😂 Very good words sweet sis. And as a mom of multiple young ones, I do need to hear it! A lot of days are hard. But I tell myself that in 10 years my kids are (prayerfully) gonna be good well rounded teens and will be a light to the world. As well as a blessing to me!
Great words!
Thank You. 👍👍👍
But.... isn't Sal's Suds SOAP?
Actually, Sal Suds is a detergent, which functions very differently. This is a good read if you are interested in the intricacies. www.nycoproducts.com/resources/blog/simple-science-the-difference-between-soap-and-detergent/
@@Amypirnack Oh! Thank you! I am going to be using this recipe afterall!🤗
Thanks so much for this! I'm a city gal, nyc to be specific. I managed to get my hands on some absolutely delicious raw sheep's milk. I highly recommend. Anyhoo, before I could use it all it went bad. Like you I thought there must be something I could use it for. I totally agree with you , raw milk going bad isn't at all like store bought pasteurized milk... it's much harder to tell when it's sour. I wondered if I could make cheese with it. I assume if you said sour cream and cottage cheese then maybe it's possible? Thanks again
Absolutely! Look up farmers cheese! All it takes is an acid like lemon juice or vinegar and your milk! I’m so glad to hear you say that about sheep’s milk, too! I’ve been dubious that we will get enough milk from our sheep after she’s breed to serve us 🤷♀️🐑 Let me know how your cheese comes out!
I don’t see a link to the mill

what if the milk tastes Bitter instead of sour
Boy, good question! I can think of some reasons it would be bitter that wouldn’t necessarily warrant throwing it out, like the cow got into some bitter herb or you put a silver coin in it to keep it from souring, but under normal conditions, where it’s just sitting in the refrigerator or on your counter, and smells bitter, I would probably throw it out. However, keep in mind that most of us have not been raised to identify, and/or appreciate the smell of sour milk, so what might smell bitter to you, may just be sour milk. 🤷♀️ Sorry I couldn’t be more definitive! Hope that helps!
There's a HUGE difference between soured milk & spoiled milk. You are talking about soured milk
The best part of the video was the sneak peek 😂😂😂😂

@amypirnack how much does this make? I know you are re-using a small all detergent bottle which is great! Ty in advance
Can you tell how much it cost per load by doing this method please
Check out my newest video! I detail it all! Thanks!
Thank you
Thank you for sharing this great video just a question is the Sal -Suds the same as Castle Soap im in Australia bless you ♥️😊
Yes it is
@@sandymuddy5766 No it is not.
In our state, it is illegal to buy raw milk. I would love to find someone who "sells quietly" if you get my drift. I'm not sure the neighbors would appreciate a couple of cows in our backyard. LOL.
Haha 😂 www.realmilk.com is a great place to start. Many raw milk producers allow you to buy a share of the cow and then they aren’t technically selling to you, because you are part owner. I’ve bought a share for a dollar before, so it doesn’t have to be expensive. 😊 Happy hunting! Raw milk is powerful!
@@Amypirnack Thank you! I'll check it out.
I agree with her to a point. She is using name brand liquid laundry detergent and some dry baking laundry soda and some liquid all purpose soap to make DIY laundry detergent.😮 Isn't this just some extra ingredients added to your name brand detergent just to boost it.😮 Yes it is better ingredients added together in liquid form.😮 Why no just use the all liquid laundry detergent alone.🤔 Unless you're trying to strip your clothing.😮 I don't understand the purpose of this laundry detergent recipe.😮 I will just stick with my name brand liquid laundry.😍 1 tablespoons for small loads and two tablespoons for large only.😍 3 tbsp to 6 tablespoon of white vinegar with a few drops of essential oil as my fabric softener.😍 And a wooly ball and some pure essential oil as my fabric scent for my dryer.😍 A little goes a long way.😍 Never used store bought fabric softener and fabric sheets they break down your washing machine as well as dryer and have too many chemicals in it which leaves layers on your clothing.😮 Don't over pack your washing machine and your dryer with clothing.🤔 Never use dry laundry detergent of any kind.😮 Liquid is better.🤔 Do a full washing machine clean every 6 months.🤔 Clean your lint Trey every time you dry your clothing . Clean the tube in the back leading outside every 6 months rom your dryer. And replace the tube of your dryer once every two years. Never place any clothing that is too wet in your dryer. If you can hand wash many of your items and hang dry outside it will save you energy and money.😍
I am sorry, I should’ve clarified that I wasn’t using any All liquid detergent, just the container. 🙂 We try to be a self-sufficient and natural as possible and yes, we do purchase a couple products to make the detergent, but they are more natural, less expensive and just as effective as the majority of namebrand detergents on the market. It’s a win as far as I see it! Thanks for checking out my video and for your laundry routine insights! 👍

Will soap scum build up? Is it good for HE machines.
Glad I found your channel would Meyers work?
what is sal suds??
Sal Suds is an all purpose cleaning liquid made by Dr. Bronner's. It alone will work as a laundry detergent without all the extra ingredients seen here. 1T. will work for an average load of laundry. Dr. Bronner's has short video clips showing how many uses Sal Suds has including laundry. If you have hard water you can simply add some baking soda to the wash cycle to soften it.
Is there any way to make it from scratch? No ready-made cleaning products at all? That's what I would like to see.
