Man this video helped me more than you know. Thank you.
Good work dude!
thank you so much and Thanks for watching Vassmotorsports
Nice job!
thank you very much and Thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow
Did you regrease the wheel bearings and neck bearings?
no thats the one thing I didn't do. the neck im not gonna worry about as it was fresh water and i know it ran right out the bottom and not like it was turned while under water and wont wash the grease out and it feels very smooth and quiet when i had it on jack , the wheel bearings are also quiet and smooth right now but she needs tires soon and im just gonna pop in new sets then , and probably new pads just for the hell of it and grease caliper pins and probably flush brake fluid then too , I haven't been riding much cause the weather and have two other Victory bikes also. , thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
Looks and sounds like a Harley should Good job
thank you so much. and thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime ,always trying to get my little channel to grow
How did you NOT think the engine and trans would be full of water after five days? Seriously?
cause i never had a bike flood in a Hurricane before 🤣 i knew it would but was hopeful thinking and it didn't look like it when checking oil on stick in tank and even looking in gas tank. i thought it would have been filled to the top overflowing with water, please watch part 2 and tell me what ya think when shes done ,thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow ua-cam.com/video/aEgh-4ck6IQ/v-deo.htmlsi=T0OPw76cHejONHgN

yes he is a Min Pin. and the best dog ever ,
Great video. You’re good with trucks.

Do you think the caliper covers damage the brakes? I would like to add red covers to my Chevy Silverado
no they dont affect anything, just cosmetic , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports
can GreaseMonky do the job like this?
im not sure ,not alot of shops have the trans machine , i know most Goodyear do ,but you can always call any shop you like first and see , just make sure they use the correct fluid , these Hummer need the Dex VI fluid only ,thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow

thanks for the feedback, i wish it was but atleast its polished. i just need to hit it oneday , ive never polished it and the flood kinda hurt it

I like those pipes on the FatBoy, can you tell me who makes them?
thank you, i think they have a great tone you cant hear thru my phone or whatever your watching on ,but i call it rolling thunder she sounds so good , they just have a BG stamped into them and i dont see anything else ,thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow
I think I found them, they sell them at Denniskirk and are made by Wyatt Gatling. I really like that look. Glad to see you saved your bike
@travlincanucks glad ya found them. i love the look and sound too. thanks again
This whole video was sketchy
sorry i make them with my phone and its hard to tell until watching on a TV , thanks for the feedback so i can try to make them better in the future, thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime

Most pressure treated wood contains copper. It will react with aluminum and corrode the hull of the boat. Better to made the bunks out of standard 2x4's and seal with fiberglass resin
thanks for the feedback but this trailer is all painted steel and no issues there , also if you use regular wood and try to seal with resin anywhere you put staples for the carpet or bolts to hold to the brackets on the trailer you are putting holes and everytime ya back in the water it is intruding into the wood thru the holes and it wont last a year or 2 , trust me i found out the hard way doing a quick floor job in my old Stingray one time and sealed with fiberglass mat and resin but where the seats bolt down it rotted around the holes within couple years and that doesnt get submerged ,the rest was solid , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
You can put a new chaiset on with a tensioner, you need to install a different timing cover to accomodate this Do yourself a favor and get melling chain parts
thanks for the feedback, stock chains are fine and turns out it didn't jump at all ,my 17 yr old son drove it like a race truck and i found no compression in one cylinder and bent valve and pushrod, i pulled the head put a used valve i lapped out of one of my boat 350 engines(same valve) and pushrod and rocker and that was 30k ago or more with no issues what so ever , plenty of trips 12 hrs away to Florida and even hauled one of my new bikes home from Virginia Beach, i drive it all the time on the interstate, these chains will go 300k easy so no need to change , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow
You did a lot of talking, but didn't show doing anything
thanks for the feedback and sorry ya felt like that but it was part 1 and i finally got around to doing part 2 where i finished it if you wanna check it out and let me know what ya think how she turns out ,thanks for watching Vassmotorsports ua-cam.com/video/aEgh-4ck6IQ/v-deo.htmlsi=k3gpxH3cJDs4V9rf
Great job on your Harley man! She must be proud of what you did to her by rescuing her from the graveyard. Thanks for sharing!
thank you so much, it was definitely worth it but i love restoring things and bringing scrap back to Glory, ive done many cars and boats ,even some flood golf carts lol,and love looking back when im done knowing i was able to save it , thanks again for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow, if ya like boats check out the bass boat i did ua-cam.com/video/hyABNk-CrH8/v-deo.htmlsi=dUlVChpb1F1vfVgk
Worked for a few hours for me then had to tear down and found the lifter separated
i also tore into it and replaced all the lifters with AFM replacements and still had slight tick i wasnt happy with so i took motor out and did it the right way this time with new cam bearings (they had wear) and delete cam ,LS7 lifters and blocked off the pressure relief valve in oil pan , now she runs great ,plenty of power ,and sounds great and very quiet , I definitely recommend you disable the AFM in the computer or its just a matter of time before another lifter does it again even if they are new , good luck and hope she lasts ya no problems , thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow, heres the one where i did it fully deleted the right way for my case ua-cam.com/video/cIJbEgCbxqo/v-deo.htmlsi=GetNfNo-FyBwcTjH
I will check it out, I'm Planning on finding a new motor to do a complete build with upgraded cam with dod delete @@Vassmotorsports
@jamessaxton4285 since ya gotta pull to swap anyways just do it to yours and save some $ i only had about $400 if that and only that high cause i wanted the AC delco lifters and trays, and good bearings instead of the china junk again. but the gaskets and cam and delete plate were all cheap ,and i get everything on Ebay , oh yeah cam tool was $42 but i saved so much doing it that way , good luck which ever way ya decide
Really every connection needs going over the fuel tank needs to be cleaned and the motor needs to be completely disassembled and cleaned then put back together. You can polish a turd but it’s still a turd.
thank you so much for the feedback, please watch part 2 when i finish her and let me know what ya think , I went further than that but ya dont have to disassemble the entire engine ,but you'll see how far i did go and i also filled oil tank fresh and put return line in empty jug after she is running a bunch of times to make sure everything was out and not mixing back into engine ,thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow. ua-cam.com/video/aEgh-4ck6IQ/v-deo.htmlsi=hf_JARY3rptCjCvm
You did a really good job and I love the chalk idea. Gonna use that when I recarpet my 98 tracker175. About how much total time of work did it take you and your dad to get this done?
thank you for the comment, im really not sure how long because i had my Dad start stripping it while i was doing other jobs ,then he got covid really bad for a long while ,and I finally got back on the boat and finished it all and put back together myself ,but i didn't stay busy on it full time like 8 hrs a day or anything as im pretty lazy most the time ,so few hours here and there over 2 weeks or so ,then i redid the whole trailerto in a different video , but ill admit it is a lot of work but so worth it when its done ,plus i made really good money when i sold it ,thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow
@@Vassmotorsportsthank you for the very thorough comment, I’ve got quite a lot of time on my hands but my body doesn’t quite work like it used due to old army injuries. But I am optimistic about doing it nonetheless
@@teamlary good luck with it, just get pics of how all pieces come apart cause has to go back in reverse order (man puzzles) and i learned just drill new holes for the rivots as the carpet will cover them and never find original holes lol
STOP STOP THE SHITTY BACKGROUND MUSIC (NOISE)
wow ok 🤣 did you see the 2nd part where i finish the bike ? please watch and tell me what ya think how she turns out ua-cam.com/video/aEgh-4ck6IQ/v-deo.htmlsi=COKPvIB7wukfJuu_

What was that stuff you used to clean the chrome? That stuff was amazing!!
thanks but i only used purple power on the whole bike , when i first went to get her out of the shed i used wd40 and sprayed the entire bike to try to save from rusting to bad until got back to SC and washed her , if you was interested in the bike please watch part 2 and let me know what ya think how she turned out ,thanks again for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime ,always trying to get my little channel to grow ua-cam.com/video/aEgh-4ck6IQ/v-deo.htmlsi=COKPvIB7wukfJuu_

In the bottom of the crankcase is a drain plug. Before you do anything, pull that plug and get the water out of the engine
thank you for the feedback. i pulled all 3 plugs and let all drain , and tank was full too , if you get a minute watch the 2nd video and please let me know what ya think, thanks for watching Vassmotorsports ua-cam.com/video/aEgh-4ck6IQ/v-deo.htmlsi=VlCNocMq5JryqHzM
How much did the insurance company charge you to buy it back?
i originally paid $4 for her (deal finder Steve) lol. and drove 2 yrs before this happened to her , insurance paid $7300 and $1000 to keep so it was a no brainer for me knowing i could bring her back to Glory for little $ and some labor ,but I work for myself playing around the shop anyways so turned out good for me , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow
Did you do a flood revival for that scooter? 🛵
lol. i guess ya could say that. if got few minutes please check out the 2nd video where I finish her and let me know what ya think, thanks again for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow ua-cam.com/video/aEgh-4ck6IQ/v-deo.htmlsi=nrwSzmYGrkq1nzoT
oh dang i just realized you meant my little scooter 🤣🤣🤣 and yes me and my dad did and i let him finish it for my brother and he still has it running 2 yrs later, I saved my Stingray boat also and have videos of that also , only the 5th wheel went to scrap but the insurance took care of me like i would have never thought so i came out really good and upgraded big time with no money out of pocket ,thank God, I even started getting golf carts from people and restoring those and would never know anything happened to them when i was finished, videos on couple of those on my channel too lol
@@Vassmotorsports haha right on. Scooters are fun
Iam getting sick from the camera movement! Bye!
oooppss. check out the second video where i restore her , its on a stand 🤣🤣 let me know what ya think how she turns out, thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime ua-cam.com/video/aEgh-4ck6IQ/v-deo.htmlsi=AsWoZrhCuuOkdgqd
Dude you should have done the hydraulic tensioner conversion ????? You were all the way in there !!!
thanks for the feedback, but I dont see any reason to waste the money , I got the whole bike done for less than half of what just the tensioner would cost , if the shoes last 20 or 30k i might never put that on the bike especially since i have 2 Victory also and been riding the Cross Country Tour(full dresser ) more than anything this time of year , thanks again for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow, do you know much about the Vics? check out this video if ya get a minute ua-cam.com/video/aeNI9ftDUdU/v-deo.htmlsi=fT3d_VtI6iX9PRxa
and dont get me wrong i definitely considered it ,but I dont like spending big bucks haha. i bought the bike for a deal at $4k and 2 yrs later the storm destroyed it and insurance payed me $6300 and i kept the bike so i wanted to fix cheap as possible but also the right way and dependable
Nice job.Gave u a sub. I do the same things U do.😊
Why would u clean it b4 the insurance assessment is done . That's just stupid man ,ya wasting your time bro
for one thing i wanted to make sure it was worth keeping and i had already sent pics to insurance, the Hurricane was so bad they couldn't just send out adjusters to look at everything damaged so just send pics , i paid 4k for it cause im such a deal finder ,2 yrs later this happens and insurance pays me $6300 and i kept the bike ,hey check out the second video please then tell me what ya think how stupid i am 🤣ua-cam.com/video/aEgh-4ck6IQ/v-deo.htmlsi=bioILOQo9N8SfzSN. thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow
Just because you got it running don't mean it's going to last you probably better off if you sell it quick
never know with anything in life , id rather ride and know that i feel safe later with some oil changes and miles on her cause id never knowingly sell someone something that i thought had major issues even with the salvage title, thats just not who i am and anyone that knows me knows how i treat and restore things back to Glory , thats why I have so many people always asking me to work on their stuff. check out the second video i sent link on other comment
Global warming there'll be another hurricane next year and you'll probably get flooded again Republicans have been lying to you for 50 years global warming it's happening
i have it at home now in SC with my other bikes so i dont have to worry about flood again. luckily it was not saltwater water is the only good thing about that situation,
The entire electrical system is worthless
thanks for the feedback but watch the second video please before coming to conclusion , your ideas might change lol. ua-cam.com/video/aEgh-4ck6IQ/v-deo.htmlsi=qqkqRKz8sK3TScC4
It'll cost you more to fix it just go out and buy another fat boy close to the same year and use that for a parts bike
i fixed for a few hundred bucks. if you knew anything about bikes thank God it wasn't that bad to a talented mechanic, check 2nd video please then form your opinion. hopefully youll be shocked lol
A real biker would have rolled off before the storm hit in parked it somewhere else you think of your bike first
i live in SC and kept this in Florida where i was keeping my 5th wheel in a park. we had no idea that storm was gonna be worst flood in 500 years and flood like it did 1.5 hr in land, so i couldn't just run down 12hrs away and get it ,thats what insurance is for
Nice scoot!🇺🇲

I’d run some diesel through it to drain any sand out of it sand will grind bearings and rings very quickly
thank you but i didn't run it really until i tore into it and actually have the 2nd finishing video you might want to check out and please let me know what ya think, thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow ua-cam.com/video/aEgh-4ck6IQ/v-deo.htmlsi=ni59KQhejrL6HbAF
That motor has to be drained and transmission every fluid in the bike every line don’t assume water didn’t get in some places run new fluids through it brake fluid every fluid in the bike replace then drain that new gaskets anything that ain’t metal has to be replaced blow air through all your electrical circuits spray some starting fluid or ether or something on that electrical to clean it so it doesn’t corrode good luck, buddy
thank you so much for all the feedback, if you get a minute check out the 2nd video and you'll get to see what i did and how she is now , ua-cam.com/video/aEgh-4ck6IQ/v-deo.htmlsi=9sukBSK3-qDY2RRh. i did more than just that and made sure she is right and dependable, also engine had a lot more water even after draining so i drain filter and switched a few times and fill oil tank and put return line in empty container and run like that till close to empty that way it wasnt just mixing again in the tank and pumping back thru motor or it would never have cleaned itself out , then put new filter and oil and drove alittle before doing my final change and she been great , eventually ill do brake fluid and wheel bearings just to be on safe side ,thanks again for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, always trying to get my little channel to grow
