First off, LOVING your writing content. I don’t comment often but talking about your book gets me in the mood to write and I appreciate the heck out of that! Wanted to also address the “info dumping,” and say, as a fellow creator, give yourself grace and time ♥️ you set a boundary with us (your subscribers) but you also set a new boundary with yourself. An outlet for your thoughts closed. That takes time to adjust to. You were opening up before and decided it didn’t feel safe to you. Putting yourself first is not only a strength but a muscle that takes attention. You did an awesome job of pivoting after catching yourself and you should be so proud of that! ♥️♥️

Finding friends as adults sucks hard. It ain't easy, especially if you work from home. It's almost like dating in a sense. The first step is trying to get out more and easier said than done. 😂

The clear glasses are so cute on you! I almost always wear contacts too, but you can definitely pull off those glasses!

What do you use to learn korean? I used to use a bunch of different books. But that isnt motovating me anymore.

I totally get the in real life friends what I've done is joined writing groups or hobby groups that I'm interested in in town to meet people.

I plan on going back to college, but right now I'm in a community center guitar class. Write the way that suits you best! The more you write to your comfort zone the better you become at writing. 🏩

If you want a friend, consider joining a group. Maybe volunteer for something where people work together to help people like Convoy of Hope. I recently joined a book club at a library in a nearby small town and they also have food together afterward. Another day they have an exercise class. It feels like I'm in a novel.

If you think your water is giving you skin issues, you can actually buy water filters to put your shower heads and faucets. That might help.

I'm a pantser too, and I could relate so much when you talked about figuring how the next chapter goes. It's a daily concern for me. Currently, I know what happens in chapter 14 but chapter 13 isn't written yet, and it's what needs to happen for chapter 14 to happen. So today's all about figuring what I could write in chapter 13 :) I wish you all the creativity you'll need to complete your draft.

My outlines have just become bullet points XD it's one big, messy brain dump and then I go from there. So definitely with you on the plantsing!

I have tried outlining once and I just hated it. So now what I do is I write the blurb so it gives me an idea on what I see in the story. And then I figure out the story as I write.

I took Publish and Thrive this year, I totally agree it's game changing for indie publishing ❤

I "write down what I know," too, including bits of dialogue. That's my only plotting. And I do it mainly so I don't forget it.

90% into Love and Other Champagne Problems right now! Not my usual genre but it's hooked me in. Love love love it. As a Brit, I have to ask, why the beef with beans on toast? 🤣 it's best with the bread toasted, and grilled in the oven with cheese on top 😉😉

I think I'm a plantser too, but I know I can't plot too much or else I feel like I "finished" the story. It's hard to explain.

I'm also a plantser, mostly in the "discovery writer" camp. I found a video about the 3 act/9 block/27 chapter story structure that totally blew my mind and I outlined 4 books in a week. It was nuts. The video was by Katytastic. And poor Lee Know... he had SO many wardrobe malfunctions for a while, there.

I'm with you on the not being able to outline, also the getting work done with fluffy babies around!

lol I used to be a hardcore pantser and wrote 5 messy books then everyone told me I had to be a plotter and have not been able to write a book in 3 years so I am trying to go back to pantsing as if I outline it feels like I wrote it so I don’t want to write it lol as the story feels done in my mind!! Omg I been into jpop lately when writing they are so jamming to Fuji kaze lol

Most likely your graphic designer used the wrong color model, thats why your book covers have different colors depending in printers. RGB v CYMK.

I absolutely love your videos and I am currently binge watching your videos now and I got to the part of this video where you mentioned ProWritingAid and how slow the progress is and I quite agree and I agree with you about it catching so much. Would you ever consider writing fantasy?

Hi Sarah. I'm sorry your Christmas book won't be coming out. It's definitely a hard feeling, but that doesn't mean the idea of the story is wasted or your efforts. Balancing and scheduling is definitely hard and I'm wishing you well as you figure out your next steps as you grow your author career. I too, felt that loss of not being able to see my work in front of me like my younger self. It was difficult to process and accept. I believe me trying different ways to dive back into writing helped. Doing a Pomodoro effect, writing with other authors/creatives that do a live on UA-cam, taking a UA-cam break so I can tap back into what my writing means to me and what I want to complete or work on, and going back a little to how I used to write when I was younger which was handwriting instead of typing. That's amazing that the journal was a plantser journal! It's a sign to keep going and find your path back to writing. Your want to embrace your creative enjoyments again is not something to be ignored. You got this as you tap back into your writing and get lost in characters and worlds you're creating. Your honesty doesn't go unnoticed and you're not alone!

You have made the absolute best choice for yourself, for your book, and for your readers. Also, how wonderful for the timing of that journal! I’m so happy for this next chapter in your journey. Hugs!

As a hybrid author, I’ve been where you are and as strange as it sounds here is what works for me. When my life is cluttered around me, things like home stuff, personal stuff…I do a big clean physically and mentally and that brings me back to the ‘brain free space’ I need to have to create. Writing takes a lot of brain energy and there is something about having that organized life that centers me and the book flows again. Love your paintings!

The universe knew you needed a positive boost and sent it your way. Congrats! Also, setting aside a project that just isn't working right now but with intentions to return to it later isn't failure. Even if it turns out you don't go back to it, I wouldn't call it failure. It just wasn't the right project for you. 💙

Lol don’t worry about not finishing the book or other peoples opinions and I have the opposite problem lol all I see is my books and I can never seem to write them down or just info and I feel like the book is over lol and also I love a good villain redemption watch this one show called u prince and in one of the books one of the villainess’s ends up being the main character in the next season! I was pretty surprised because she was your classic mean girl and was literally getting sued for plagiarism, and then she finds out that her whole family went bankrupt and now she’s poor and having to live with a friend as they lost her house and other money and all of her friends abandoned herand find out why she did all the things she did and how neglectful her parents were and she just wanted to get their attention and I really felt this and I was really happy to end up with a super cute lawyer, and her family was just pretending to be broke because she needed to get her shit together, lol
