Sounds great again brotha! What kind of mandolin are you pickin on?
@@williamfleming892 it's a Rose!
Man I love all your clips you absolutely rip on the mando. Great tone too. R you in a band? Also I’ve been so curious. What kind of mandolin are you playing?
@@williamfleming892 hey! Thank you! I play with Dalton Harper. You can look us up on Spotify or UA-cam or wherever you get your music. I also posted a small concert of ours on my channel. And my mandolin is a Rose! I'm an endorsed artist, so if you're interested reach out to me!
Sounds like West Coast folk music to me
@@lindseywalker6925 we covered The Lonesome River Band, Pure Prairie League, Bill Monroe, and Merle Haggard in this set.
So refreshing, driving and clean, I'm running out of adjectives, well done!
Great job!
Wow you all sound FABULOUS! 😊
Excelent job Man !
Frankly, ridiculous.
Still great 2024
Hey my friend you’re big talent personal my feeling got me so happy with this classic song? I was a living in El Salvador Central America. Thanks
Love the licks brotha! Are you transcribing these or writing them each time?
Hey Keith! I'm a New Orleans-based banjoist and jazz pianist, and I'm currently working on recording a folk song with a friend of mine which would sound incredible with some of your mandolin. Your picking would absolutely make the song perfect, and I'd love to collaborate (remotely, of course) if you'd be up for it. Just reply to this comment and we can coordinate something.
@@Mfilms2000 I would love to. Shoot me an email: kwitty85@gmail.com
@@keithwittymusic Thanks so much, Keith! Just sent you an email.
Hell yeah!
I liked this greatly, and you sound superb! Smooth, man... makes me want to start playing guitar!
Mr. This brings back memories, wonderful memories as a kid growing up.and yes i remember that NBC Commercial. Thank you for your time and efforts
I can’t find your patron anywhere😢
I really like the way you have used the slides for the open strings and then created alternate fingering for the rest. Very interesting and helpful. Great playing!
10 years later !
Your a great tutor I've seen many tutorials and you're is right up there
Very talented young man...patiënt and thorough in explaining this song. I would never thought of trying this one out back in the "70's. To try and cover Steely Dan was something too difficult to even considder, so one just didn't.
Thank ‘s that s good
Super cool adaptation 👌
thanks man great lesson . always wanted to learn this song
Nice job
Great job and good lesson man. Thank you.
Great
Thanks for the wonderful lesson, sorry I'm ten years too late ( story of my life!! ) Still better late than never! , I watched The Great Dean Parks explain his acoustic parts played over the original recording. Thanks again. PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE ❤❤.
Nice job!
Nicely played! 👍👍
Very nice! Hope you are well 8 years later.
Wow! Love this! Thank you so much for taking the time to making this tutorial.
Just finished watching your first video of "Rikki", 9 years later, and so glad you did the solo follow up! Amazing! It will be months before I get this down, if ever. Your lessons are fantastic. Great job!
Hope he's still around, really good vids!
Dude! Thank you! 9 years later.
Great job dude, keep up the good work!
Great vocal!!!
great lesson, gorgeous Alvarez
Man one of the few vids teaching a song I actually really enjoyed I use the number system to learn music but little transposing for me no problem 😉
Awesome, man, hope you are well!
Great lesson!! Wish you would post more. You are an excellent player...thanks
Nice lesson amigo!
You're a great teacher. I always thought it was much more complicated.
Thanks UA-cam! Good stuff Keith! Still on that Dan kick in December 2023?
Steely Dan songs have the coolest chords!
Epiphone fretwire doesn't hold up very well.
Bravo for uploading musical content. Please play the piece before the lesson. It makes your instructions much more accessible that way. Thanks
THANK you! 😎👍
Nice playing. The opening is a lift from “Song For My Father” Horace Silver. I’d say that chord is an Eadd2. Best x
