When I put up my triband yagi antenna up my next door neighbor said that it attracts radio waves thats why she gets interferrence ..Can u believe ?

I've seen estimates as much as half of all people have some sort of brush with cancer in their lifetime.So you can blame it on anything you like if you're not going to use any evidence. Besides an amateur station doesn't have anywhere near enough power to do anything physiological, i guess you could get a shock if you touched it, but it's still unlikey to cause any real harm.

That antenna hurts nobody , they all have a tv antenna which is small because of the band its on (uhf) other bands need larger antenna's. Evil people with no interests and nothing better to do than cause trouble . I hope God is a radio ham and he sends them all to hell .

I had a neighbor call me on the phone once and tell me my radio was whipping out his TV reception and my radio wasn't even on at the time. He didn't believe me so I invited him over. I called his wife while he was here and ask her if the interference was still happening and she said it was, but he could plainly see my radio wasn't even on. We later found out the guy that installed his satellite equipment had not made good connections to it with the coax I repaired the connection for him and he apologized to me.

People just need to learn to mind their own business! Don't tread on me!

So you have this elderly man who calls out over his radio seeking contacts in a hobby he loves and is a major form of social contact for him and a bunch of Karen's use their social networks to shut him down and take this from him. Am i understanding this video correctly?

There are always longwire antennas that can be hidden in the trees. OFFCOM needs to protect Ham Radio Operators. I lived in an HOA in the states. It was not illegal to instal a flag pole in ones yard. A 3/4 inch copper pipe made for a good wideband element inside the fiberglass mast Fed through an antenna coupler and quite a few radials buried in the ground. No one even suspected while in the evenings I spent a lot of time "pulling weeds" to plant the radials.😊😊

Update May 2023. Mr Martins has moved inland to a much nicer area and guess what? He has a mast in his back garden, another antenna clamped to the side wall of his house and, no doubt, MUCH nicer and more tolerant neighbours than those two old tabbies!

The woman doesn't have to stand and look up at it every day but the other side of it is I live in the country and make do with an EFHW 49:1 wire antenna and it serves me very well, If I can hear them I can work them, a tower would be nice but it's true too that he might not be able to erect a 134 foot long antenna in the space he has, mine is mounted in a kid of sloping inverted L. I can't make my own tower so the cost of this + beam antenna is not justifiable for me. When not using the radio the antenna is connected to my Kiwi SDR.

At most, a couple of hundreds of watts was being used by martin , as a radio ham myself it,s a well known fact that when conditions are right we can talk to the world on as little as 10 watts! there are war veterans alive today who worked the "radar" systems and literally sat for hours directly under the radar aerials for days next to 15+ KILO WATTS of radiation! unaffected by it! these people should be reminded that "radiation Cures some cancers " thanks to madame Curie! iv,e had my spats with neibours in the past and always managed to "talk them down," some people are just ignorant to the hobby, and always will be, they should be treated with the contempt they deserve, Good D.X. es 73,s M0TJP (class1 ham licence) Devon.... 🤨😄😄😄....

What horrible women, i also use CB radio and ham radio, had same issues over the years, these sort of people are clueless and dont knoe what they are talking about, always the same types too. Unfortunately the ham radio hobby is dying out as youngsters are not interested and old fools like these women are ruining it for guys like this who actually enjoy radio.

If his antenna mast is accepted by the council planning dept then she has no reason to complain about the installation.

Our nabour had a huge mast installed and when he transmitted, and my mum had the vaccum cleaner switched on, you could hear the output induced on the motor winding 🤣
