This is a watch channel by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. I like to keep things honest and down to earth and I don't like the rampant snobbery that often surrounds the watch collecting world. You can be a watch enthusiast with any budget, it matters not. I must admit, though, that through the years I have evolved quite alot regarding how much I spend on my watches. That said, I can just as easily enjoy a Seiko as I can enjoy an Audemars Piguet. Positivity is key on this channel!

Iconic Watches - The Breitling Chronomat B01 42 Review & History
Переглядів 9 тис.3 роки тому
In the classic Big Wrist Watches way, I talk about the new Breitling Chronomat and it's rich history, harkening back to 1941. In my opinion, this is one of the most exciting watches to come out of the past few years and I'm thus pretty excited about having been able to pick one up myself! Iconic Watches - The Omega Seamaster 300 James Bond History

Who doesn't know James Bond? And who hasn't seen his awesome watches, which serve as a plot device in the movies? Right, even non-watch aficionados have, and it's awesome. I talk about the history of the Seamaster, about my own Seamaster 300 Professional and how it came into my posession. Background music by Dexter Britain & Candlegravity, in that order.

Official Factory Entertainment Golden Gun Replica Unboxing
Переглядів 9663 роки тому
Something a little different than usual, but at least equally cool in my opinion! I just got in my limited edition Golden Gun replica, made by Factory Entertainment. This is of course the movie prop gun from the James Bond movie called "The Man with The Golden Gun", where Scaramanga assembles this single-shot firearm from a few innocent looking items. I was kind of excited so not all manipulati...

Iconic Watches - The Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch
Переглядів 9863 роки тому
In this video, I talk about the history of the Speedmaster Moonwatch, my own Speedmaster 145.022-71ST and the brand new 2021 Speedmaster. I have condensed quite alot of info in a short period of time, but I haven't come across alot of chronologically structured videos so I hope mine is an added value. I have used images from NASA, Omegaforums, WikiMedia Commons as well as from well-known auctio...
Iconic Watches - The Omega Speedmaster X-33
Переглядів 4,4 тис.3 роки тому
Everybody knows the Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, but how good do you know the X33 Marswatch? It's equally important, historically speaking, and even more impressive from a technological standpoint. Yes, it's a quartz, but if I can convince just 1 quartz hater that this watch deserves it's place in the history books, I'll be one happy camper. As always, I touch on the history and signific...
Iconic Watches - The Panerai Luminor 005 - A short Panerai history
Переглядів 3,3 тис.3 роки тому
In this video I shortly discuss the Panerai history and my own PAM005 specifically as a homage to that history. Hopefully, I can help Panerai haters understand why my love for this brand is so big and turn them over to the OP side! Shout out to bensound.com for the background music.
Iconic Watches - The Omega Seamaster Ploprof 600
Переглядів 2,8 тис.3 роки тому
In this video I'll be going into the history of the Ploprof and also how it was designed. I've used photographs from well-known Ploprof resources such as ploprof.com and omegaploprof.com. Shout out to my watchmaker Michiel at L'art du Temps. An update will follow soon for the result of his service!
They sent conversion kits to retailers and then made there own.
I’ve one and I like it very much but it has a terrible flaw which is the crown. Mine is broken. The gen2 has a different one much more reliable.
The prices on Seiko Chronographs from the 70’s has been idle for 10-15 years, they are excellent value. Many gets confused and put off by all the versions with lots of aftermarket parts. Still I predict good original versions will be a sound investment, as they are just too cheap compared to anything else that remotely can compare. They are SO much fun, I love them all, specially the Kukume, the Bullhead and the Pogue, not to mention the UFO!
The new Breitling Chronomat 42mm is stunning … the Ice stone dial with platinum bezel is the best looking chronograph in todays market
Nice video, I enjoyed watching only comment I have is that Accutrons hit the U.S. market in Oct. of 1960, just in time for X-Mass,,,
Great video thanks for sharing. I am planning to by a Gen 2 later this year
Hey Fella! I have the Same Accutron Spaceview as you. I love it. I let me to your Video! Thanks for that. Your Story inspired me, great. Btw... I bought a bulova Jet star Red. Check it Out 😮
There is a 2 digit code on the back of the watch. M# or N#. M=1960 + then number, M2 = 1962. N2=1972. The same code can be found on the movement.
Love it, now is the time tobuy them.
Great video, placed a bid on NOS 7396 ;)
My dude here could take a mike Tyson right hook to that chin and laugh as Mike is getting pins inserted into his hand. Cheers my friend!
It is so cool 😎 I am at james bond fan
I’ve just inherited my fathers 1971 Omega Seamaster 600m Ploprof and it is in pristine condition. It is absolutely stunning.
🤩
Have you thought of a spaceview 21? Lovely video too.
Fantastic assessment.
How did the Yema hold up?
Tudor got BIG future 👍🥂
I got mine yesterday at a trade show Well done review Love my Yema in yellow It has a great fit and look
What's the utility of the right sphere of the watch? I want to buy it but I don't know what the right sphere tells about. The left one tells the chronometer laps, and the other one? Is it fixed? Thank you if you want to answer me.
@@GHotel-fb1or It is a 24 hour indicator
Great video, did you sell it? I’m just thinking about getting one myself
Take the same one but version Gen2.
i have a seiko bullhead. do you have an ig account?
Instant like for the background and suit. It matches the aesthetic of the accutron perfectly haha
What battery will work on this watch without conversion? How much would a conversion cost?
There is no conversion, it's a matter of "indexing" which one of the very few Accutron experienced repair men/women can do without any additional parts. The other option, which is much less expensive, is to buy an "Accucell" battery, which is nothing more than a thinner 1.5v battery with a small diode on it and it reduces the voltage to 1.3V,,,
42hr power reserve is not good enough.
Not an issue if you are wearing it every day. A watch like this should be an everyday watch.
Its such a big freakin ugly watch, but you are right, it does wear alot smaller than it looks. To be truly honest, i've received the most compliments wearing the Ploprof 600 than any Rolex, IWC, Seiko, Omega I've owned.
Nice Video! just bought the exact same Model as Yours I think the cussion Shape is by far the coolest and perfect size for men. I wonder if You could tell me is it a problem which way to turn the Setting Wheel, and could setting the Time via the wrong Direction damage the Watch?
I don’t think so, as the movement is stopped when the setting wheel is pulled out.
I also have the same model it’s date is 1970
I’m on my journey too. Down 25lbs.
The ultimate Bond gun!
Another watch channel, more of the same rehashed shite, just like the Tudor.
No offence bro, but I came here to see the watch and not the person showing it.
The S&G version was the same thickness. not sure why everyone thinks it was thicker. It was the all steel version that was the chonker.
100% agree I’m also done paying over market retail I’ve sold a few Rolex’s recently managed to get the Tudor black chrono and it a stunner also refreshing to buy a watch at retail and actually pay what the watch is worth.Rolex has just gone out of control it become a badge of honour to pay double retail to own a ceramic sub for me there just no logic
How much did this watch ORIGINALLY sell for in the 1970's?
Beautiful santos. The blue dial makes it extremely appealing.
Good work..and brilliant autofocus! I have a recent medium 2 tone Santos de Cartier and I love it. Currently I have a navy blue alligator deployant strap with it, and the watch oozes class on the wrist and sits so well. I really like the blue too...but I have made my choice. You make a good point about the more 'slender' or rectangular watches . I have a Cartier Americaine which is superlative and uber-sophisticated but it has the habit of either migrating up my sleeve, or just not sitting right. (I am thinking of trying a deployant Cartier bracelet with it, but Brexit (pah!) has made interchange with Cartier very slow.) Good luck with the channel.
great video!! i have 2 brown bullheads. one, mint condition, owned it for over 25 years!
I just got my Santos in October , I love it and wear it everyday . The dam bezel but over time it just makes it look more distinguished. I have a Video of that and my submariner on my page if you want o check them out I also have a breitling navatimer I need to make a video for
Super interesting vid! Good work
Thanks!
Just a good looking watch 👍 i think a brown rally strap will look good too.
Great review! Thanks for showing it to me yesterday. I wish i could have taken it home with me 😁
Thanks! I would like you to have one but I’m not yet ready to let it go for the moment 😂
I thought I was the only one, white dials are nice on paper. In reality I always prefer the black one's. Enjoy the (beautiful) watch.
Exactly! And thanks!
i don't think so. I got the white one. it's mind blowing...believe me.
I'm on the black dial side. Much much better contrast and clarity. White hands with white indices against a white background isn't my cup of tea.
Topper ben je, Bart!!
Bedankt, Floor! 🙂
Great review! Thanks for the tip to check/ convert the voltage of the battery. Is conversion complex and costly?
No, supposedly. Just need to add a resistor. But I wouldn’t do it myself 😅
Thanks for the vid..
With pleasure!
Very good Video. Interesting and well documented
Thanks, much appreciated! The channel has been dormant for a few months but I’m reinvigorated. Hope we can grow it a little more in the next weeks/months!
I know a collector when I see one. Welcome to the club, collector ! 🙂
I think I’m already past the “collector” club and went straight into the “psychopath loony bin” club, based on the watches that come & go 😂
BIG UP!😍🥰😘 I can't wait to see what happens next, I'm a chronic Seikopath ... 😊😇😎🥸🤩🥳
Me too! Still hunting for an original Pogue for the moment. Sold it about 2 years ago on my “quest for the holy grail” and have been regretting it ever since… As soon as I find one, you can expect a comprehensive review & history on that one ;-)
Nice video, thanks for posting. I find the original a lot cooler than the reissue watch, specially with the steel links bracelet instead of the steel mesh
