Emergency leak before New Years Eve at a Polish shop, Lower Precinct, Coventry City Centre 🚨‼️🇵🇱🏬🛒.
Переглядів 56119 днів тому
The leak was found in the store room on a waste pipe which takes away condensation water from the large refrigerators inside the shop, which must have been knocked and accidentally broken. I’m confident but fingers crossed with the help of OB1 sealant this will permanently fix it or hold for a time I return in January when the shop is closed or less busy 🤞🏼. I have worked for the Manager of thi...

Happy customers wanted another Worcester boiler as their old Combi boiler had lasted so long and never broke down. I’m sure with the help of a 12 years warranty peace of mind this new Worcester Bosch 8000 Combi boiler will do just the same. This was a struggle to do after short Christmas break loads of amazing food and drinks and I especially honestly didn’t feel up to it, but we put the hard w...

Another tough boiler change for us on a top floor apartment with a vertical flue again 😴😵💫
Переглядів 483Місяць тому
This tenant was pushing for her boiler to be replaced as it had stopped working and she’d been waiting almost 2 weeks. We had to communicate between the landlord and tenant, plus organise scaffolding all whilst being extremely busy with the run up to Christmas 🎅🏻 ⛄️🎄⛪️. I honestly can’t believe how many vertical flues we’ve done this past few months but this was another really hard job for us a...

These customers were literally begging us to install this new Gas fire in Hatton Park in Warwick, as they struggled to find anyone that was willing, available or simply qualified to do so. It was a real push for us to find the space with run up to Christmas but we are actually so happy we did and the family are absolutely over the moon that we did it for them. I can only imagine how lovely and ...

I’ve been working 7days a week for the past 2 months with the busy run up to Christmas 🎅🏻⛄️⛪️. I received a phone call asking if I could take a look at a Vaillant boiler that had stopped working. I quickly discovered that it was a PCB problem and said I’d get them a price. However the customers decided that the boiler was 20 years old and it was time for a replacement and upgrade. The customers...

Removing old warm air system & installing new Combi boiler with radiators for a fan of my work 🙌🏼👏🏻
Переглядів 692Місяць тому
Me and my brother were on a tight schedule on this one to fit another new Viessmann Vitodens 050 Combi boiler with a 10 years manufactures warranty today, including all new radiators and copper pipework throughout the house, with TRV thermostats plus a new EPH programmable room thermostat ⏱️📆. A big shout out to Maggie who is a fan of my social media channel that asked us to carry out this work...
Was it the pipe or the elbow that split? Could've multitooled the elbow off and popped a new one on. Silicone will prob hold it. Don't mention weight, my work gear is about the only stuff I can still get into😂😂
Nice.👍
Did you forget the condense pipe insulation ?
Out of interest, how much was the total cost of a job like this inc. the magnacleanse? Work is top BTW 💪
I would definitely fit worcester thermostat for worcester boiler mate. Load compensation save more gas for your customer
Excellent video. Nice neat work re pipes in cupboard, floor protected etc. I agree with your comments being a 'proper plumber' and have knowledge of other trades but pushfit and pressfit are useful in certain instances but you've got to have learned the basics to a high standard
I've been told that British Gas 'At Risk' Vaillants with insulation perished like that. Is that true?.. I dunno.. Not sure if the insulation is any better on the new ones.
how much did you charge for the changeover
Your spot on about Vaillant , the 3 parts you mention have been a problem for the last i5 years ! -- And that's for a boiler that's up there with the most expensive -- iv'e seen the comment about vokera pcb's , but iv,e fit a few over these last 4 years with no problems at all , they are half the price of vaillant , they have a better guarantee + a better tech help; line ! --who's the fool eh !!!
no pubs around you mate, as never herd as much crap
Spillage test anyone?
Would say vokera pcb's are worse
Dont forget boiler AR because insulation coming off front casing door
That warranty is only good if it’s serviced annually by a certified Worster tech right?
You deserve to walk to and from your van fitting a viessmann. Stop fitting boilers that cant work on UK water
surprised you got the baffle out after 5 years, why leave it that long?
Sliding down the roof and hitting that scaffold wondering if it’s going to tip over 😂 Balls of Steele
Don't ever do that again. The money is not worth the risk. I ask the owner to get a quote from a roofer to put the flue in. I will connect it from the inside.
With the logistics of that job and the roof install I would have doubled my price or walked away… 👍
Great video! I’ve got a Fernox power flush machine and have hoses that connect onto a magnacleanse. Works so well on old sludgy systems!
No job is worth risking your life over, never again 😮
Looks ok to me
Whoever rewired that is a terrible job. All that rubber sh under the board and old conduit
Why put in a 30KW boiler for a house with only 2 bathrooms? What a waste.
Dump it
Leaving aside the decision to install a gas hob, why not replace the boiler with one that can run off the existing 15mm gas supply? Are there none available? Granted, adding the hob probably will need an increase in the gas pipe diameter. However, for the sake of educating us humble viewers, lets ignore that for now and explore the choice of bolier choice based upon the existing gas pipework please.
Ben you've said that the fire you've removed took air from the inside room -- it was a balanced flue appliance like the one you fit , they take air from outside not in the room ! -- keep up the good work .. Jim
Yeah you can access in wall tank parts . I literally just replaced the entire guts of a Toto WT 151 this afternoon. New flush valve , new tank overflow flushing mechanism and new braided water line . All with one hand.
Nice job with everything. But seriously did the customer win the lottery or something and has a bunch of extra money they need to dispose of lol. I can’t imagine wanting a gas hob that much that you’d actually have the whole upstairs of your house torn apart and carpet removed just for a stupid gas hob. I think they’ll be very disappointed in the gas hob when they use it. With gas all the heat escapes around the edge of the pots and burns your hand. The fumes also smell terrible and it’s just worse technology in general.
Gas is 1000 times better for cooking electric and induction hobs are absolutely rubbish. They are the most annoying things known to man.
Proper cooks would only use gas on a hob. Electric hobs are far simpler to clean and maintain but that is it.
@@EMEL-hr4ut I’m in America and there’s an obsession with gas hobs even more so here than the U.K. I think it’s that it makes people feel like a “real” cook when they see it. Despite the fact the the few times it’s used it is for making Mac and cheese lol. In reality electric is the way to go for normal home use. Way easier to clean, and it actually boils water way faster without the excess heat burning your hand.
@@LawrenceTimme I’ve found that the people who insist on gas the most because “it’s best for cooking” are usually the ones who cook the least lol. I’m not arguing they should be used in restaurants but for home use electric has many advantages like faster water boiling times, easier to to clean, and no wasted heat coming around pots burning your hands.
The year is the 3rd and 4th digits. It’s a 2007 model
Good work there. I always try and remove old plumbing if I'm re-piping something, (partly so its less confusing for anybody in the future) but electricians always seem to remove the absolute minimum. I'm always pulling out old cabling to make more room.
They make a warm air system that is powered by a combination boiler so you get the best of both worlds. Minimum fuss and maximum safety.
It boggles me how the original installer gave no regard to maintenance 🙄. Nice job in getting access to it without having to completely destroy the tiles.
I hate these minimalist designs. Yeah, it may look nice and modern, but maintenance will be a pain!
Absolutely no need at all for silicone around waste fittings.
Cowboy hack.
Worked out nicely in tge end. Good job !
Utter nonsense
We believe he cut something
You have blagged over the Ideal report stop waffling
Why is this installation ID explain please 🙏
It’s not end of the world FFS Ideal Engineer was knackered lol Don’t make a drama out of a crisis
I have too many customers wanting cheap, but they’ll just learn the hard way
Those warm air units caused a few deaths back in the day. Lovely job!
I replaced an old warm air system with a new warm air system when we moved into our current house. The new system includes hot water which the old system did not. (got rid of the old immersion heater). We decided that we liked not having pipes and radiators all over the house. It works great, so if you have an old warm air system do not simply assume you have to replace with a wet system, you have a choice. (replacement of the warm air system was cheaper than a wet system retrofit. Another choice someone might consider is skipping straight to a heat pump based air to air system (air conditioning) but that is probably as or more disruptive than shifting to a wet system.
Air to air heat pumps wouldn't be efficient with the size of ducting from the old warm air units. Cost too much power
After 37 years in my previous house I have nothing but praise for my warm air unit. I had a Lennox unit, highly efficient and relatively cheap to run. In my current home it’s a Combi boiler wet system . Miss it.
Spraying the ooals makes them look better for a short period of time -- but a proper job is to renew the matrix + the coals , i know thy are costly but , the fire will burn hotter and the result will last longer than a few weeks !
What did you use to comply with boiler plus?
Cracking job and effort to the details. Rough cost of this job pls?
It was like curry’s, we were corgi gas’s fitters that subcontracted to fit their cookers, then they stuck their own staff on a quick course before the rules changed, quick course and they were called gas fitters. I and a few left because they were causing so many gas leaks and we were expected to sort it out and cover for them, I did 2 more years as gas safe then jacked it in as we are expected to re do our tickets but electricians wasn’t, wish I just trained as a sparky 😮😮😮😮
Like how you don't show all your work. I have a few customers who wouldn't think twice about fiddling with their boiler. When I remind them that should anything untoward happen and their property is damaged by their attempted repair, their insurance won't pay out. If you're not gas safe registered, do not attempt to repair a gas appliance.
Why do you say ‘level’ when talking about something vertical - do you mean ‘plumb’…? 🤷♂️
