Removing old warm air system & installing new Combi boiler with radiators for a fan of my work 🙌🏼👏🏻

- Me and my brother were on a tight schedule on this one to fit another new Viessmann Vitodens 050 Combi boiler with a 10 years manufactures warranty today, including all new radiators and copper pipework throughout the house, with TRV thermostats plus a new EPH programmable room thermostat ⏱️📆. A big shout out to Maggie who is a fan of my social media channel that asked us to carry out this work before going into hospital for an operation🫡. She wanted peace of mind as her old boiler was making a lot of noise and was difficult to repair now. It was a difficult job especially during boiler season and with the run up to Christmas🎅🏻⛄️⛪️. In the words of Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon “I’m getting too old for this” 🔫😂😂

Cracking job and effort to the details. Rough cost of this job pls?
Those warm air units caused a few deaths back in the day. Lovely job!
I replaced an old warm air system with a new warm air system when we moved into our current house. The new system includes hot water which the old system did not. (got rid of the old immersion heater). We decided that we liked not having pipes and radiators all over the house.
It works great, so if you have an old warm air system do not simply assume you have to replace with a wet system, you have a choice. (replacement of the warm air system was cheaper than a wet system retrofit.
Another choice someone might consider is skipping straight to a heat pump based air to air system (air conditioning) but that is probably as or more disruptive than shifting to a wet system.
Air to air heat pumps wouldn't be efficient with the size of ducting from the old warm air units. Cost too much power
After 37 years in my previous house I have nothing but praise for my warm air unit. I had a Lennox unit, highly efficient and relatively cheap to run. In my current home it’s a Combi boiler wet system . Miss it.
