    Watching this from Pakistan from my Macbook m3 pro. Somehow it got recommended to me. You look simple, sweet and natural (probably because you have no makeup, which is good). The unboxing experience was like how common people unbox, It shows the expressions of a common person unboxing it. The video had good and nice vibes.

    How did you manage to put most of my thoughts about this into one video?! I feel exactly the same and used to feel so anxious for the future and used to cry for hours because I didn’t wanna grow up but everything you are saying in this video is so true and age is just a social construct so everyone needs to stop focusing on ‘growing up’ and just be themselves no matter what, and school needs to stop adding on to the stress by putting so much pressure on us all the time when it’s not even everyone’s life path!

    I completely relate to the system, I went to uni only because I had absolutely no idea about other options and was lost, and so I chose what I thought was the next thing to do. I then 4 years later went to technical college to train on day release as a carpenter. If only people sat me down and went through all the options available including travelling. Follow your dreams. As a child I always wanted an old fashioned book shop 😀

      @@Finding_Hannah I was speaking to a colleague over the last couple of days about his son. He has achieved 3 A levels but has said uni is not for him. Since then he saw a thatched roof being recovered on a home near them and he spoke to the thatcher. The boy is now going to do a 7 year apprenticeship. He loves the outdoors, enjoys being creative and feels that he has found work where he can be his own boss and be happy. His dad is so proud of him and that he is happy.

    I am a teacher myself, but not in a straight line. I usually would also recommend uni, if you can make it, but here in Germany it is tuition free. You still need to provide for yourself, but you do not end up with a big debt. Also, I don't see UA-cam as a valid career. Not because it cannot work, but it is too volatile to bet on. But if someone is not inclined to a study at uni, especially in your case with such a drive in herself, I would advise to go for your passions. You told about video and photography, so seek some education in that, possible a formal one so it can provide a good part time-job. Second, if you want your own business, you need to get a firm grasp on the boring financial side of business, how to keep it afloat and manage it. If you go abroad, keep in mind that outside of tourism language can be a big barrier in day to day life if not going to an anglophonic country. Especially outside a university setting.

    Really good video, Ive been doing a lot of reflection recently and it’s great to connect to what you are sharing. I feel so engaged and want to write or say so much on what you have said. We essentially need to earn money to live in this society and so in some cultures just having a job is seen as you have achieved a great thing. And so then it’s important to do something that you can get some enjoyment from/have interest in. Living we are so pressurised to be independent having lots of stuff, whilst in some cultures it’s fine to have 3 generations under one roof and they are happy, with reduced financial commitment. Travelling is great then to experience different cultures and meet new people to help teach what our real priorities are in life. You are who you are as in individual and shouldn’t change to suit society’s pressures, being happy around all those you love is most important. Why university? It’s all big business now and there are many individuals with so much debt because of it. Some of these then may reflect wishing they took the apprenticeship route. It’s also interesting seeing more people enjoying living on the canal or travelling around living in vans. Who is to say living in a high mortgaged house is the right and only acceptable way to live. I think we can only enjoy the journey trying to make decisions that bring the least stress and happiness. I work for myself and this works for me. Staying young at heart 👍

    • @Finding_Hannah
      @Finding_Hannah 6 днів тому

      I very much relate to this comment. My dream at the moment is to get a van and travel after college and to see the world and that’s been my dream since I was 12. I think I’ve been very attuned since a young age that I don’t want to fit society’s norm. Unfortunately, we live in a capitalist society where to be successful you have to have certain materialistic things and as you were saying in other cultures success looks completely different. For instance in some Native American cultures (don’t quote me on this but I’m pretty sure I heard it somewhere) success isn’t about what you have and they just wanted to enjoy life for life essentially without worrying about external factors. Thank you for your comment :)

    Being an adult is hard, overwhelming everyday even though there are those around you that you love and the mind boggling part is you feel lonely in your neurodivergent self every day. Absolutely confused, lost, disconnected without meaningful friendships. I think some times I wish there was a neurodivergent meetup where I live. It’s like inside torture. I think there is possibly perhaps room for a bit more nuance from what you've described of your past experiences. I relate to some of the people you've described - I try to be enthusiastic about my partner and other people's achievements, but the truth a lot of the time is that I'm not (sometimes this is likely obvious, but not for lack of trying). It's not necessarily out of selfishness or wanting to put others (that I care about) down - but more that I suppose I don't see the things they have "achieved" as being achievements. I know that sounds a bit bad, but let me explain. It's not something that I wouldn't apply to myself. For example, whenever I get a promotion or a raise or whatever, it just doesn’t interest me and I feel like there is nothing to be proud of. A lot of things I see people "achieve" just don't align with what I see as achievements. A lot of "achievements" these days tend to be materialistic ones, and for reasons I haven't entirely figured out myself, I just don't really care about them. If a friend or family member were to come to me beaming about how they'd solo crossed the channel or ascended Everest, then I'd probably be genuinely enthusiastically complimentary. Perhaps this doesn’t apply to the people you have mentioned here, or perhaps it does and it's maybe an indicator that your values don't align with these people. I certainly don't rule out that there are people out there who want to drag others down, but just pointing out that there can be other reasons for lack of enthusiasm or interest. Depression could even be a potential factor - future prospects, particularly in the UK and particularly for the young, are extremely bleak now. I also think for reasons that are too broad to explain in a youtube comment that this is particularly acute for young men.

    Success reminds people of their failures. Success is the best form of revenge... u shouldn't care about criticism from others. it's just noise, ripples from the pond after adding to the collective... dont ever lower ur shine to better suit the darkness, u are not the same as the darkness, ur something diffrent and ur probably already aware of that.
