Has an impressive acceleration and can make an excellent stop with lots of people and cargo. This is the LT model so it does have some luxury options but not all. With it's smooth ride and great handling you forget that you are dr...

Today I Review this 1995 Honda Civic DX. This car has the D16Z6 vtec motor and its mounted to a 5 speed manual transmission. This Honda Civic is from the 5gen Honda Civic and unfortunately not many are around in stock form. The simplicity of this civic is what makes it a great car to learn how to drive and to fix. This car is no longer mine and well I still miss driving it. Something about this...

I placed a lot time, sweat and effort into this car. I've never engine swapped to did any major repair like I did with this car. All I have left is the memories that I have created with this honda. Today I change the spark plugs on my 2004 GMC Sonoma. I use ACDelco spark plugs and gapped them to .060 This isn't a quick job but once you do the spark plug behind the steering wheel it becomes easier. Its easier to jack up the two front tires when changing the spark plugs. You could replace the plugs while the wheels are one but it is very difficult. Like, Subscribe and share! Thanks for watc...

Score!
I have a ‘03 Acura TL and I didn’t even know the center armrest was adjustable! Good review.
Quick and to the point.
What seats are those ??
I love how you are very organized nice man!
2012 to 2016 are made in Japan very good cars my 2012 has 170,000 miles runs strong
I'm about to do this job as a complete non-mechanic. Thanks so much for sharing, this really helps!!!
Good stuff. Looking to buy one of these and appreciate the info and what to look for 👍
Does the 4.7 have a EGR valve?
Jesus Christ is there anything else that doesn't need to be replaced in these things? German cars And American cars are trash!!!!!!
Great job on the video, very helpful.
I wouldnt mind one if it was exactly like the one you are reviewing, perfect and everything working how it should and no check engine light. I would leave it stock besides maybe 20 inch rims. I have a 1998 2.2 s10 standard cab 5 spd manual transmission, it has 235k miles on it but I use 15w40 full synthetic diesel oil and it runs fine but I would love an upgrade of some bells and whistles, power windows and power door locks and ac.
Puro guatemala
Don’t forget to retighten the pulley 😂
🎉
Happens to 30 some year old motors.
The middle driver side spark plug was an absolute nightmare took me actually 2 days of micro twisting and trying to find the right combination of tools to get it out. Felt like fighting a dark souls boss.
I owned 95 civic with the engine swapped from a 2005 civic I wish I could share photos 😂
Need help to fix my, can you help iam in L A
The fast cut to the BMW in the background 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You skipped a bunch of important steps for completing the task
I have a 2001 TL base i bought three weeks ago. Heated mirrors, seats, leather etc etc. 170k miles transmission replaced at 60k. I bought it from an older gentleman who took good care of it. Lord Willing it will give me 5 more years. Subscribed.
How do you identify your transmission?
Awesome, thank you
So odd to see one of these with an interior that isn’t rattling like a can of 70,000 bees lol. Even my buddy’s 80k mile extended cab rattled a lot and visually it was almost this nice. I wonder if the crew cabs were slightly better put together, especially since it’s a later design than the extendos
I love mine, 2002 SLT with the 5.9 and max tow package. The only correction to the video I'd like to make is, its not quite sitting on the Dakota frame. The Dakota is only boxed in the front, then regular C-channel from the middle all the way to the rear. Where the Durango has a bespoke fully boxed frame front to rear. So the Durango is much, MUCH stronger. But yeah these things are awesome, as far as reliability the engines and axles will last you for ever 40 50 maybe even 60 years (I'm not kidding, I've been around old Chryslers with original 360 v8's and they just run forever if you keep oil in them. The only thing to watch for is the transmissions can over-heat easily towing, so if your going to tow heavy get an aftermarket transmission cooler, OR just send it into a 4x4 shop and have the shop build your transmission, for 1500 bucks you'll have a trans that can tow all day long with zero issues. Otherwise these things have just the typical maintenance items like power steering pumps ($40) and brake calipers every so often ($60) its really just a check the fluids and drive it kind of vehicle you wont be left stranded with one of these. *(JUST KEEP IN MIND, these things MUST be coated in Lanolin oil, such as "woolwax" or "fluid film" this is the only way in wet wintery climates that it wont rust in half.)*
awesome tutorial man thanks for showing us. saved my life! subbed
Buen trabajo paisano
Its a nice durango. But me personally i wont own another one with the 4.7, if you own a dirango get the 3.9, 5.2 or 5.9 if you want a long lasting durable engine. I own a 99 slt 5.9 durango. And an 02 R/T Durango. Love them both
It's not just Dodge that has bad automatic transmissions as much as automatic transmissions in general are trouble. They're probably the most complicated part on the vehicle (yes even more complicated than the engine) but rarely overbuilt. Basically the only way to build a reliable trans for 330ft-lb is to install a trans rated for 500ft-lb so that it has lots of line pressure and the clutch packs don't have a chance to wear. Lots of people will do this after the first trans wears out well before the engine but for cost reasons the manufacturer never bothers.
Thanks bro, I am considering just doing it myself. Thanks to your video. Peace
Original owner here of an 03 Durango 4.7 .....no major issues over the years, Though it did need a rear axle early on, that was covered under warranty. It has an issue with the blower motor resistor frying out Every few years, I see on the net that it is a common problem. Just happened again over the weekend or so I thought anyways, I got nothing blowing out no matter what speed I put it on, thought it was the same issue, took it apart and it seems to be fine. No burn marks or melting as it has in the past. Tested the blower motor and it works when jumping it It seems to have no power going to the motor. As of now, haven't figured it out yet.
I have a 2002 Acura TL. Black leather interior m love it.
great vid man!
360 5.9 is funner Magmum gas milage
Good video
Found one for 2.5 with 200k miles worth it?
Seems like a bit much. What's the condition?
Wow, super clear , great tutorial and no comments? That black tube-like tool to secure that inner tie rod, what is its name in English?
Excellent video. Just replaced my alternator following your instructions and everything works. Do you have a Patreon or some way I can send you a donation as a way of saying, "Thanks!?
Would you recommend buying a 2000 Durango with this engine, 200km kilometers?
Excellent video, thanks for taking the time to record this.
2024 and this video is still helping people, thank you! I had a hard time with Spark Plug 3, couldn't get a swivel in there and trying to use a crowfoot caused the crowfoot to start to round off. Finally got a shorty 3/4" wrench and was able to finally knock it loose. Once I got it out I noticed it was probably 50,000 miles older than the other five plugs and a completely different brand! I guess the last mechanics that worked on it chose to skip that plug altogether but I got it out and my engine is no longer misfiring :)
Well presented
i wish you showed how to re istall the belt. to me the hardest part
Great video bro, I really enjoyed it a lot !!!!!
Nice truck!
So I owned a 4.7 magnum dodge 2003 Durango for 3 years, never failed me and was always reliable, I always wanted a 5.9 Durango so I got one, let me just say that the 5.9 magnum dodges are complete piles of garbage, everything started breaking on me within a few months of ownership, the 46re transmissions are horrible, fried 2 computers, overall design of the engine is super stupid and makes fixing it a pain, when I worked on my 4.7 it was super easy.
Thanks,
Good job now I see how easy it is.
My own personal experience, buy a Durango or Dakota woth a 5.2 or 5.9. there are plwnty of tasteful aftermarket parts and are far more reliable
