I can’t even believe the nostalgia I am feeling. It’s crazy. I would go back to 2002-2004 so badly and never quit then. I would have quit when it actually got stupid. I don’t like change. Obviously it’s necessary. I wouldn’t have minded more land/hunting spots, more creatures and equipment. But hot keys? Pay to win? It’s like after 2007/8 tibia got worse each year. Hoping to pander to new players in stead of its loyal current players.

What I loved about tibia was that there was no level cap. There was a big grind at the beginning but you knew as you levelled you could move on from rats to goblins/rotworms to orcs to dragons to running giant spiders in poh to running demons in parchment room and camping hydra spawns. Then later when it got added , nightmares and destroyers in svargrond to eventually hunting in poi and onwards to the latest content. It took a long time (years in my case) but it was worth it. I have never found another game like it now days every game I play has a level cap that you can reach in a few weeks by doing the main story line. After that you are kind of twiddling your thumbs wishing there was more to the game than there is. Especially if you are not into pvp. Seems like there is a huge gap in the market here and I have been waiting for it to be filled for years many years.

I got so many ss from 2003-2006. One stands out where Strinnity showed up at Venore elves and shot a gfb at me, then chased another guy for his boh and armour

I was there 3000 years ago.. started playing tibia in January 1998, joined one of the german guilds back then (AuN - Avengers of the Unknown Newbies). Met great people and friends for many years. When they retired in 1999/2000 i became a lonewolf... trying to join the RR in 2001. Got denied and joined the ranks of the Mercenarys. Fought multiple wars in the Alliance, became leader of Mercenarys, left to join Illusion .. left them to join another War before leaving Antica to Premia. Joined Violent Saints - some of the best times in Tibia for me. Fought wars against overwhelming enemies from other servers, ultimately lost, went back to a different Antica .. and quit in 2012/13. Never returned again .. but never forgotten the great times i had... I still have Screenshots and videoclips of various stages of Tibia on my Harddrive and from time to time i watch them with nostalgia in my heart.

Fitting how the Alliance always managed to get their opponents banned or deleted when they were on the brink of losing a major war. Did their connections with GM:s really make for fair gameplay? I can only imagine that some of their members account shared too back in the day.

Love this doco and the story. To me its the underdogs sticking it to the man. Literally people who wants to control the in game rules of their server, WITH GMs on their side. Its disgusting. And they think they are righteous in doing so. So blinded. And then theres the people rebelling against the tyrants. I love it!! When the darkside song came on in the dragon lord cave, brooo ive rewatched that so many times. Amazing stuff. Its a shame to see that the Alliance "won" by reporting their enemies to CipSoft and got their opponents banned. F**king dogs.. They were losing and they resort to such shameful tactics. But all in all, thanks for the very detailed storywriting of an amazing time of tibia, its mesmerizing!!

I think it’s not a myth, players who achieved getting it are not talking about it. “Only the humble”. Whenever you are seeking and searching for the sword you are greedy, whenever you play the game and not seek for it you will find it. 😊
