@DevelopmentofAvoid I'm not a creator, I created several pieces on Ableton years ago, but I went through the same stuff that you're going through, I know exactly how you feel and what you wish to accomplish when you're creating music, you want it to be complex and gigantic, I had the same cognition of adding instruments in order to really express myself, because Baroque and Jazz are not strange to me and I wanted it all in, it was natural to me, entire pieces were in my head and I was constantly creating music in my mind whenever and wherever I was, recording it on my phone, writing lyrics etc. Two years later, I finally started working on Ableton, but I had exams and stuff and it was time consuming and I was never satisfied of course, I knew that it can be a lot better and luxurious and I ended up with an around 12 min. long song, a Symphony as I called it that lasts one minute without any repeating parts and that I Adore to this day and couple of other numbers. I spent only a couple of days on Ableton. The crucial point was to make High-quality music, progressive unique Metal songs with rich and luxurious form and themes within those songs without any repeating parts, that was my main natural goal by being, but very soon I realized that I don't actually want to create music with usual composition and arrangements and vocal repetitive form, I actually wanted to create instrumentals, I found shaped, formed and targeted music to be a constriction to my creativity and self-expression and I realized something even more important, that I actually don't want to have a band and especially not tour, I actually wanted to be a music producer and owner of a label, not necessarily money related, but that was just me, what I was and what I wanted to become, it was ideal for me back in the days. I'm suggesting you to try to make a song based on intention as a task in order to see what the end result would be and would you be happy and satisfied about it, something that people would possibly stream and be interested in, something that could make money, not as a goal, but just to check if you can do something like that and assess the level of broadness that you can reach as someone who can theoretically be successful in the music business, at the same time remaining an artist that no one can spit on.
