Hey, Cozy Krewe! I'm Evie Redding, and this channel has all things cozy. Look for these kinds of videos:
💜 Cozy day vlogs
🩶 Cerebral Palsy (CP) Disability Chats on topics like traveling, marriage & life
💜 Unboxings
🩶 Casual gaming
Come hang out with this Creole-Cajun gal (me!)
FAQ:
1) Why do you call people "sha"? I thought it was 'cher'?
"Sha" (ʃˈa) is pronounced with the 'a' like the first sound in "apple." It comes from a Louisiana French variant spelling of the word ''cher." Kouri-Vini, or the Louisiana Creole language, may also use this word. It means roughly, "dear" in English. When writing casually, many write out the word how it sounds.
DISCLAIMERS: The opinions expressed about Cerebral Palsy are from my own lived experiences and are not a substitute for medical advice. This channel is not Made for Kids. Hobonichi Techo Cousin Slow Unbox 📚 No Talking
Today's video is an unboxing of the Hobonichi Techo Cousin! This is my first time using this planner, and I am excited to see how I like it. I got it from the site, @JetPens (not affiliated).
☕️ I did have some issues with the audio, so there is music where the clips were muted for some reason.

are these just sea salt or sea salt silent?
Hi! These are the sea salt silent. According to my husband, he now uses Akko Penguin Silent for this keyboard, and he really enjoys it. Hope this helps!
Note: I haven't uploaded the Study with Me video using this keyboard yet over on my second channel, but check back by end of November 2024, and it should be live. Check the description for more info on the keyboard, too. ✨
Cute! Im also thinking of purchasing this keyboard: which keycaps are these?
Thanks! These are the milk switches and brown keycaps that come included with the keyboard.
@@EviesHangout Tysm!!
Edit: totally made a mistake in thinking my husband changed out the switches. He did not… he was talking about another keyboard haha 😅 💜 what’s your favorite keyboard?
Im 50 with Mild CP. And am starting to fall and stumble on carpet and uneven cracks on the side walk.. So, Use a cane full time ....a Martial arts cane. And I am learning how to do Martial arts with it.
Thanks for commenting! That's so cool you use a martial arts cane! I'm finding I'll probably use my cane more and more until full time as I'm aging.
@@EviesHangout Yep. Thanks
Love that the snapdragons are still hanging in there!
Right?! After that first year, I thought for sure they wouldn't come back. And each year there's more and more of them 🤣
I love reading, which keeps me out rumination, and then I sporadically journal. And I emphasize sporadically. Haha! Also, great video!!
Thank you for your kind words! Vlogs definitely take me forever to do, so I am glad you enjoyed it. What genre(s) do you like to read?
@@EviesHangout You’re welcome! Yeah, the editing and all can be tough at times. I did some of that when I did TV production work for my high school. So because I’ve been a fan of human behavior for as long as I can remember, my favorite genre is psychology and self-help, and then memoirs and/or biographies, and then some history.
Nice! I usually read 1 non-fiction and 1 fiction book at the same time, so if you've got any recommendations, I'd love to hear them. For fiction, I usually like a good adult fantasy or mystery, but I have been loving cozy/slice of life books lately too.
@@EviesHangoutNice! Mixing your reading up is good too. I tend to procrastinate a lot so I read a book called: The Psychology of Procrastination by Dr. Hayden Finch. Then another suggestion in that genre is The Good Life by Robert Waldinger. In the mystery genre, check out the books by author Paul Cleave. Those books will leave you on the edge of your seat. The twists and turns are wild! Haha!
💜 What is your favorite cozy hobby to do? I love finding new hobbies to try!
You don’t even know how happy am I rn I found your channel through another CP channel and I relate so hard I have mild cerebral palsy too - and I’ve watched all your CP chat videos because it’s not often I see people that have mild cerebral palsy like me!! Only thing is I’m pretty fine with stairs - don’t get me wrong I still hate them and I take my time so I don’t trip but I can go up them fast if I need too I also watch the 5 things you hate with CP and I smiled and nodded for all of them just because of felt seen We practically have the same type except my left side I’d affected instead I also thought that me not having loads of energy as a teenager was a personality thing ( I am lazy by nature lol) but I was surprised to see that CP played into it The only other thing I have to say is does your unaffected leg ever ache or hurt randomly- or will it start to tense first when walking sometimes? Bc I have noticed that for me I’m sorry for the ramble but seeing someone like me is something I’ve always kinda wanted and this makes me so happy!
Hi thanks for watching! That's cool you can go down stairs quickly. I can up up stairs pretty fast (well...fast for me lol), but going down stairs I hesitate sometimes. I am happy to hear you related so much to my chats as it's always nice to find someone else with CP similar to mine. As for the unaffected leg question....oh yeah, I'm finding that it does hurt more at times when I'm walking or exercising. It's even more now that I am older, so I have to remind myself to stay active. I don't know why that is, but I'm thinking maybe it's because my left side has to work harder to compensate for my right side, so sometimes it just likes to let me know it doesn't feel like cooperating?😅 No need for apologizing, and I am happy you found my videos! Have a good week!
@@EviesHangout Yeah I thought that too regarding the leg thing - that my right leg was just working more than my left This conversation reminds me I should probably do my stretches as I haven’t done them for ages lol Thanks for answering my question too!
I just bought a set of Ajazz Kiwi Switch and got frustrated because my current outemu hotswap boards keep bending them. And now I found this kit on sale in Amazon right now at 34 USD. I think it's worth it. Right? 😅
Oh no I’m sorry to hear that about the Ajazz Kiwi Switch. I’ll relay the message to my husband since it’s his keyboard. Thanks for commenting and good luck with your build!
Yes it's totally worth it, and I've been using it for around 3 months now. And if it's $34 USD, it's even better deal than when I got it for $55 USD. The PC plate has a bit of flex so it is pretty forgiving to type on. I did bend the pins on 1 switch during the setup, it's very easy to troubleshoot using the VIA website. Go for it!!!
@@EviesHangout The outemu sockets are just too tight that's why. But if I buy this kit, I need another set of switches as I only have 90 of it (less than 90 now because some are already bent to oblivion).
@@cheeseninja7743 I don't know how bent yours are, but whenever I bend my pins, I usually use a letter opener or a small blade to pop it back out somewhat straight, and then use a needle nose plier to straighten them good. I know the switches are super expensive but they can add up. Good luck!
@@aleksitanninen I think I can still save some of them but the thing is if I buy this kit, I need to buy another set of kiwi switches which will cost another 10 USD (they only sell them by set which is 45 switches). And a set of new keycaps as well. While the Ajazz AK820 Pro is also on sale for 48 USD. Decisions, decisions.
I saw you link this vid on the epomaker site for the th66 and I came to see it! I am about to get this keyboard. I cant wait. Is it any good?
Hi thanks for commenting! You must have seen my husband’s review of it since we bought 3 😋 I’ve been using it for weeks now with the sea salt switches, and I am really loving it. It was easy to modify the keyboard, and considering it was the first time trying to change out key caps, I found it fun. I found no issues with connecting to my iPad or Windows laptop using Bluetooth or the wireless connection so far. Overall, really happy with this keyboard, especially for the price. Hope you enjoy yours as well, and thanks again for watching!
YAYY, i LOVE this unboxing!! This video is super helpful, and you're so underrated, keep it up! 🙌(By the way, your cat is soo cute)
Thanks so much for your kind words! I'll pass on the compliment to the cat too...I know she thinks she's the star of the channel. 🤣
wow the modding sounds good!
Thank you! ✨
Yes we definitely need more content for this board. I also built my wife an EK98 and used the same sea salt switches. Surprised her with some coffee cat keycaps by Yunzii. She loves the entire build.
Yes I almost got those coffee cat keycaps for a build I would like to do, too. They are so cute. I’m happy to hear your wife loves her build too…my husband still loves his build as well. Have a good one and thanks for commenting!
Yes, I understand that the cold is terrible on spasitcity
We know what our bodies go through, and it's not for others to 'judge'. We live inside our bodies and do the best we can. Wear and tear, fatigue and PAIN are the things I go through. I HATE stairs. Public places should have accessabilities for those with physical challenges (elevators are the greatest inventions). Ramps are better than stairs.
Thanks for sharing your perspectives. I love elevators and ramps too 💜
People have to get use to seeing people with disabilities. Our world has all walks of life. It's not 'perfect'. We exist, and try to live our lives the best way we can.
I use canes because when I walk, my back jerks inward and i have pains in my back.
I’m sorry you deal with pain too…thanks for sharing in the other comments as well. It’s nice to meet people who understand fatigue, pain, and other things we go through.
It's good that we understand our conditions. Some people don't understand it, but we carry on the best way we know how. Take care.
Thank you for making this video! I ordered this board a few days ago, and other than this video there’s hardly any content online abt it. It seems like a solid board so I’m excited to get it. I’m wanting to make an extensive Reddit review or something since I literally couldn’t find anything Abt it.
Hi thanks for commenting! That’s exciting you are getting this board too. As far as I’m aware, the board is still holding up nicely apart from some wear on the keycaps from hard daily use. You’re right, I couldn’t find much additional content on this when I was editing this too, so I’m glad you found it helpful. Good luck on your Reddit review, and I hope you enjoy it!
Got mine in black. Waiting on some extra parts to make it an office friendly silent build
Nice! What sort of modifications are you doing for your build? The next video I'm editing has my husband putting together a build of epomaker ek98 with sea salt switches for silent office use, too. Good luck on your build!
best keyboard i got so far, enjooyy itt 🥰🥰
I’ve been using it to write for a few months now, and I really love it too! 💜
I love the sage color 😍 That was the color of my last LT1917.
Great minds! I’ve been loving greens and browns lately, so the sage really made me happy when I saw it. Totally didn’t realize there’s no monthly spread, so I’ll have to make one in the back 😅
Yay, new notebook 😀
Got this one for the husband’s birthday a while back, I’m just behind in editing lol
Yay Sylvia with a plan approved 😂
I was looking at this for my next keyboard, thanks so much for showcasing it! I never get asmr’d from typing but this video is really relaxing and cozy, vibes are immaculate! Have a good day!
Glad to have helped! Thanks so much for your kind words too...I really am aiming for a cozy channel, so your comment brightened my day. Have a good one as well!
Hi! I've used this planner this year and I'm gonna get the same for 2024. It's just so practical, and almost perfect for me. I don't experience any bleed through with my fountain pen (medium nib with R&K Sketch-ink)! There are some shadowing, but I'm one of those persons who likes it. I removed the "address book" from the notebook... It's an odd choice to include. I hope the planner serves you well!
Hi! Thanks for the comment! I really was worried about how a fountain pen would work, but I don't mind a bit of shadowing either. I'm still really new to different kinds of pens, so I appreciate the feedback. I may remove the address book as well...I'm sure I can find some use for it I just don't know what yet. I can't wait to use mine for the same reasons you said, It seems so practical and just what I was looking for 💜

Sorry the text was too low at the bottom. This was my first Short!
where did u get it
Hi! I got this several years ago on Amazon. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing what you went through during answering questions... I was bullied too but by my teachers In public school, in community college & in University.. I would be putting in time out instead of getting help understanding my homework, I had teachers call me stupid in front of my classmates also, some teachers will refuse to teach me... My mom was always there for me but she did cuddle me too! Unfortunately my mother passed away when I was becoming a teenager...My Father & siblings always remind me of my difficulties they never encourage me to do anything... Dealing with negative people in my life made me more determined to prove them wrong & do things they told me I could not do... this made me more independent...
Thanks for sharing your experience as well, and I am sorry you went through bullying. I used to try to prove everyone wrong when it came to things like my CP, but I would burn out and have no energy. It's something I still have to work on to this day, but it is getting better.
@@EviesHangout I know what you mean I get tired too. Over the years I found that Vitamin B12 helps me a little bit & also magnesium vitamins with the stiffness of my legs & arms.. At night I take muscle relaxers to be able to sleep better... I know everybody handles how they deal with their CP their own way... I just wanted to pass it along what i do to handle my CP😏 if you want to look into what I mentioned to see if it benefits you.. I hope I'm not over stepping a boundary in any way, I just want to help out a fellow CP like you're videos help me 💐😏
Oh no, not overstepping at all. Thanks for the recommendations! I recently started taking magnesium too, but I’ll have to check out B12 too. I’m always on the lookout for new ways to engage with my CP, so I enjoy hearing from others who can relate. Right now, I am just using a few things to deal with stiffness…mainly a heating pad and advil lol. Thanks again for the comment!
@@EviesHangout You're welcome😏 Yeah I use ibuprofen😋 Especially for my lower back issues, I also use electric heating blankets.. I'm glad I did not overstep cause I did that with my ex friend that I told you about & she did not take my recommendations well.. If you don't mind if you find something that would help in dealing with CP let me know that way I can look into it.. thank's!🌻
Sure thing! I'm certainly no medical expert, but I'll make a list of things I use and make a video when I circle back to CP videos. :D
It's really great you specify your type of CP & also, you explain how it feels which is on point, in my point of view cause I feel the same way.. I have a specific cerebral palsy too but it affects my lower extremities & arms somewhat...
Thanks for your kind words. I really thought hard about what CP feels like for me, so I am happy to hear some people relate to it.
like your video I can so relate to your issues with CP I hate dealing with shoes in general now that I'm getting older because of my flat feet that wear slippers socks all the time... Also, I have trouble giving exact change or even holding change... Keep doing these great videos, I so appreciate that you're letting everybody know that there's different levels of cerebral palsy & not everybody's the same🌺😏
Thanks so much for watching! Ohh, change is a good one, too. I almost never carry change with me for that reason. And I’ve got flat feet too, so definitely I am the same with slippers/ fuzzy socks. I like to get the socks with the grips on the bottom, as there’s less of a chance of me slipping around and falling.
@@EviesHangout Yeah I definitely use those types of socks.. I used to have a friend that had the same disability as me but with a little bit different level of disability with scoliosis.. But she got envious that I was able to move a little bit better than she was so we stopped being friends, I embraced our differences and I wish you could have stayed friends.. I was just curious have you had friends with the same type of disability just different level of it?🤔
I have have a couple of friends that also have CP, but slightly different manifestations of it (like affecting different parts of the body or having different support needs than me). I am sorry you had to go through that with your friend, though, I know losing friendships can be a tough thing. Do you have any other topics you're interested in about CP or disability? I have around 2 videos more I want to do for this season on the channel, but I am always looking for more ideas. (Of course, I'll be coming back to the CP topic again, but I tend to cycle through subjects on my channel on the whole)
I wish I was as brave as you are to do videos in the day of my life with CP But I'm extremely too shy.. Thanks for the compassion on my ex friendship, unfortunately friendships come and go they don't last long, for me I gotta keep moving ahead in life😏 If you want you can do videos of every chore you do around your house & how you modify it to be able to do it with the difficulties that your CP brings to the chores.. However, this is your channel & you can decide what to put I was just giving you suggestions if that's what you were asking... Of course I understand you wanna talk about other topics thanks for answering my question😏
There are times I still feel very shy to talk about CP or even do videos, too. But for me, talking about CP out loud to myself has made me feel a bit more comfortable in my own skin, because I know I'm not alone. Yes, thanks for the suggestion! I admit, I am not a good cleaner, but I definitely can do a video on that (it's more about energy management for me). Chores and other daily tasks...now I've got some more ideas on stuff I can film, so thank you!
GOOD SHARING THANKS
Thanks for watching!
Nice vid! Should I get the iPad Air 4 64gb with the Apple Pencil or just the iPad Air 256gb with no Apple Pencil?
Thank you! As for the pencil or space question, I suppose that depends on what you need your iPad for. I needed mine as basically a laptop replacement so space was top priority. Check out Average Tech Guy on UA-cam... he’s where I learned about all kinds of accessories for iPad that may interest you in making your decision. Good luck!
Love your video. Keep going! Love the editing also!!!
Thank you very much!
This editing is so cute!!! I second everything Dawne said. Apple knows how to do packaging. It always feels so luxurious to unbox a new Apple product
Thanks! I agree... I almost didn’t want to take everything out of the package it was so nice 😂
I love the way you edited this! All your graphics are so cute! Congrats on the new setup, and RIP to your old Mac. Lol
Thanks so much! And my old Mac is hanging on by a thread, so at least I can prolong the inevitable for as long as possible 😂
Any tips for making the switch from a laptop to an iPad as your primary work/hobby device?
