Christina Ricci is an excellent human being and a fantastic actress with utmost dignity, she won’t really say how badly Vincent treated her during filming because she has too much integrity for that, you can read it in Wikipedia under “Production” …unbelievable!

As interesting as this film is, what is inescapable for me is it is clearly the product of an unbalanced and very right wing mind. Billy (and perhaps Vincent as well) wants women to be submissive and childlike. He wants women to love him unconditionally regardless of how he himself behaves. This is a homophobic and misogynistic film. A fantasy. And whereas it likely speaks to any man and his deep seated desires, in the cold light of day the film can only be looked upon IMHO as a guilty pleasure.

I just have warm feelings towards Walken and Tyler, like they are relatives, having seen them so often and here they are speaking to Abel intimately, talking addiction and it's just a nice doc.

Abel is out of this world, coked up here. He has a great work behind him. But I've been seeing films with Asia and by Asia and she is the sexiest actress ever and has good body of work.

Its interesting to me when I see the film critics sing praises of French and Taiwanese movies that go on with long takes but would bash a hollywood film if it does the same. Kinda double standard. I think slow cinema actually gives us a perspective on life in a very raw yet accurate sense. But, its also impractical to wish today's audience to appreciate it when theyre already conditioned with short attention spans by them spending hourse on tiktok watching short videos with extremely shallow content.

I liked Christina in the film but I hated the guy Vincent Gallo played, he was an asshole and when I saw him act like a real Jerk with Christina I just wanted to strangle him with my own hands.

Just watched this for the first time. Asia is unreal. What a perfect person for cinema. The aesthetics are also top notch between the lighting, shooting mediums, design, all of it.

Just saw this movie last night. Absolutely incredible!!! Lili Taylor was truly embodied and mesmerizing. I loved the parallels between real life human wrongs and vampirism. And the black and white heightens the film’s impact too. I also think it’s such an interesting snapshot of what NYC was like at that time too. Interesting also to see a pre-Sopranos Edie Falco and Michael Imperioli. Thank you!!!
