Extremely beautiful and a great tribute to her arc !

The reason he turned out the way he did is cuz the poor boy was never shown any amount of love or care, he did what they asked but it was never enough and the only time he was shown any attention was when they were pissed that he did something they didn’t like, so like any attention and love starved child he acted out and that damaged him mentally and emotionally, so his question to his mother “do you love me” was a legitimate question and she called him an imbecile for even asking which then added to the damage. I actually feel sorry for him, cuz they only abused him to “prepare him to be king” not realizing like most power hungry people that they did more damage then good and created an unstable king, which the realm would pay for later. So I don’t blame Aegon, I blame Visarys, Otto Hightower and Alacint Hightower for what happened. I wonder how he would’ve turned out if they had shown him any love or affection.

This is so beautifully put together. So poetic and that soothing song also. Alicent is a very complex and realistic character to me, full of contradictions, struggles and morally grey. I feel that is why she is so hated by viewers, precisely because of how realistic she is, we are so used to unrealistic heros or super evil vilains that we despise to watch someone reminding us of our own shortcomings.

I was waiting for an edit or trailer to make me wanna see season 2 and this did the job perfectly I'm binging the season this weekend

GOD THIS IS INCREDIBLE. So so beautiful. The editing is fantastic, and the combination of the editing and the choice of music so unique. What an absolutely lovely use of her scene and story from season two. Amazing work as usual ❤️. Also Thank you for showing so much appreciation for her s2 arc, it’s so frustrating to see people who don’t seem to understand the story or her character at all criticize it. Also, if you don’t mind me asking, how do you get footage for your videos? The quality is fantastic.

This is a gorgeous edit. It would take forever to put into words everything I love about it, so I’ll settle for a few things that stood out to me. 1: the music choice! It perfectly encapsulates everything about Alicent that’s so painful. How she’s been hurt, manipulated, abused her whole life, and how she struggles because of that suffering. I thought this was aptly shown through the shots of her in the Kingswood, because those scenes were so symbolic of her growth this season. How she begins to heal a little, the water imagery associated with Alicent symbolic of rebirth and contemplation (maybe a bit of longing for death in there as well, sadly). As always you pair the music with the perfect scenes to emphasize the themes of the show. (As a side note, I think it’s ironic how the title of the song works as allusion to “Growing Strong,” the Tyrell house words. With the Hightowers being from the Reach and with the copious amounts of generational trauma in their family, it’s a fun contrast!) 2: the audio layering is beautiful. I really love how you’ve taken lines from separate scenes and edited them overlapping a bit, especially toward the end of the edit. It adds to this overwhelming feeling-everything that has led to Alicent’s growth as a person being “sideways,” a bit crooked, a bit tortured. And what makes these moments so great is that you know how to contrast them with “quieter” scenes, where you let the silence/lyrics speak for themselves. 3: the transitions! They go crazy throughout the edit, but especially from 3:39 to 3:47. That was big brained. I also loved the overlay affect in the sept scenes at 1:05-how perfect to showcase the passage of time and what has been lost. It’s as if Alicent is haunted by her memory of Rhaenyra in that same place. It gives a very ghostlike feel to the edit

I came to feel bad for Alicent. She was a pawn in the game. She was a child obeying her father in a time where there was no free thinking for women much less women in power. They did truly love each other but there wasn’t a time or place e for them to exist. I’m not sure she had any choices. She was a warm body and baby maker for Vissy, play toy for Ser Crispy. Rheanyra truly cared for her and it just unraveled. Nothing makes any of this right. Gonna get a few boxes of tissues for next season. Gratz edit though!

The humming, it felt like a mother was putting her child to sleep I saw the little words at the bottom of the video, and I was so curious to read them carefully, I saw that you posted it in the description. The poem feels so fitting with Alicent and Heleana, Helaena seeing the tragedies coming and Alicent, trying to ease her burden, to protect her The moment where younger Alicent appears with baby Helaena, she really looks like a child holding a baby. And then Helaena growing up and Alicent looking over her (I am very scared for what will come) Congrats for getting your degree!! can’t wait for an edit “the green 2”

Funny how all the team green people hate on Rhaenyra, and team black hate on Alicent. They're victims of a patriarchal society that oppresses BOTH of them. It's not about choosing between them. This show is about how women always have to behave perfectly, and are always shamed for things that nobody would care about if a man did them.

Ok but I am AMAZED by your editing style. With how there a few scenes that are of the most importance to a certain character, or reletionship, in this instance - Alicent, and her relationship to Otto and Rhaenyra, watching an edit can often be not as exciting because the only thing that differs is the song and the rythm. But each.of.your.edit. is just pure enjoyment and the embodiment of the song. Just the flow, and how you put the lyrics in the right places, and when the characters move they cover the lyrics in the right time. Know the care and work you put into these videos is greatly appreciated

I don’t particularly like Alicent (team black here lmao), but I can sympathize with her somewhat. All her life men have told her what to do: her father, husband, and even the son. All this pressure is put on her to be the perfect wife and mother on top of being a Queen consort later Queen dowager. She was only a teenager when she was pressured to marry Viserys and started having children. What made me respect her even a little was her calling Aegon for being a scumbag to women, especially to Helaena. Honestly, I like show Alicent more than her book counterpart (tho I don’t like either). Her book version just came off to me as the typical evil step mother tho still very complex. Kinda gives me Cersei vibes. So I like what the writers did for Alicent in HOTD. I could write a whole essay on these characters, but imma leave it at here
