Pyro is teaching a little baby caique (who was neglected and had to be pulled for handfeeding) how to be a caique. The baby is more than 2 months but the growth is very much delayed. It still shows interest in its surroundings like a bird in its age is supposed to, so to teach it how to be a bird I've included my adult WBC Pyro. Tänään ruokailuhetkutukseen yhdistyi myös pelviksen ylösnosto, eli pikku-caiquemme jaksaa nyt kannatella kroppaansa kunnolla. Ruiskun sisältö on myös opittu, ja tässä videossa näkee hyvin, miten silmät seuraavat tarkkana lähestyvää ruiskua.

Kolme viikkoa odotetusta kehityksestä jäljessä tuleva valkovatsa-aratti- eli caique-poikanen on otettu pelastusruokintaan. Se selvisi ensimmäisestä yöstä ja sai kupunsa viimein toimimaan - ja aamiainen maittoi ujosti mutta varmasti. :) Huom: Ethän yritä käsinruokkia papukaijanpoikasta turhaan tai ottamatta selvää aiheesta. Optimus Prime is the oldest baby of the clutch - and seems to be extremely social and curious! I noticed that he was interested in my fingertips so I offered my fingers, and he stepped to my hand. Younger siblings are a bit shyer (they just came from the nest box and seem to be a bit amazed by the world :) ).

Hi there! Author of this channel, with another account. Yeah, I have been less active with this channel. YouTubing took so much time that I felt like I didn't have enough time for what truly mattered: being with the birds in authenticity. Derpla is doing good! He is a big boi now. He is dating my quaker parrot Inanna. Maybe I will film some kind of "how are we doing" video soon. :)
