Thank you so much for putting this together. I know this episode keeps getting removed, so getting to see all the rare photos and footage spliced together is great. I was shocked that E! showed a photo of the crime scene. I don't think it's been shown anywhere else. Thank you, though, for keeping Rebecca's memory alive ❤

I still think, in spite of what they said, that Rebecca still would have appeared in a few A-List TV shows aside from her movies.

This is a sad story, there should be an autobiography movie about her. After Rebecca Schaeffer's murder, there were laws that have changed on stalking. This story is so emotional.

I’m very glad to be bringing this video to you all! I have been searching for this episode for a very long time and finally found it just a week ago. I had to upload this video _EIGHT separate times_ with various edits. It may look a little strange during some scenes because of the editing I had to do to circumvent the blocking. I especially found Sue Cameron’s interviews valuable to learning more about Rebecca, hence their prominence in this video. I know it’s not as good as watching the whole episode but hopefully these clips I’ve gathered bring some joy and/or illumination of Rebecca to you!

The scene that her murderer saw was the one with the late RaySharkey. In an interview after her murder, Mr. Sharkey was so upset that he could barely talk about it, and had nothing but praise for Rebecca Schaefer. May both dear souls rest in peace.

Thank you for posting these clips of Rebecca, they help us remember her. I was about her age when My Sister Sam first aired, and I truly admired her. I'll never forget the morning that my mom came to me, hugged me, and said, "I'm sorry. I just heard on the news that somebody killed Patty." So upsetting.

She shall be forever young.

When I was warching the documentary of Rebecca Schaeffer, Robert John Bardo got pissed off at a "sex scene" where she was in bed with another male actor... He got pissed off because she wasn't playing the "innocent girl" from the t.v. sitcom my sister sam. He called her insulting names , because of the character, and one day he decided to "punish her," and he had a plan for three years to murder her. The documentary about her gave a wake up call to pass the bill on stalking, giving out people's address on where they live through the department of motor vehicles, and after her murder her legacy lives on with policies on stalking laws. I'm glad that Robert John Bardo is in prison for the rest of his life without the possibility of parole. Watch different documentaries about Rebecca Schaeffer, and how policies changed after her murder. She's a talented actress, and I really wish there was a movie about her and how laws changed after 1989.

I think the promos with Sam and Patti eating ice cream and rollerblading aired during the summer of 1987, rather than in 1986. Still, great compilation!

Here’s a breakdown of each clip featured in this video: #1-2. CBS “Share the Spirit” 1986 promos for their fall lineup, when the show was still under its working title Taking the Town. #3. The changed title and original logo for My Sister Sam from the official CBS Fall 1986 lineup. #4-6. Promos that aired summer 1986 before the show premiered in October. I chose the order based on the first one saying “Mondays!” but not having the time slot yet. The last one is probably more familiar as it’s available multiple places on UA-cam and I feel it is the defining promo for the show. It aired August 20th, 1986 which is why it is placed last of the three. #7-9. Intros from episodes 1, 2, and 4 which added some charm and introduction to the characters before the theme song played. #10-14. Clips from various CBS “Spirit - Oh Yes!” 1987 promos. These aired late spring/early summer 1987, promoting their fall 1987 lineup which included the sadly unfinished second season of My Sister Sam.

Going down the rabbit hole of this case is really dark, knowing that this could have easily been avoided.. maybe if she had not opened the door the 2nd time, OR if the intercom wasn't broken, if she backed out of sending fan mail replies.. it's terrible knowing that creeps goofy looking face is the last thing she saw in her life. This reminds me of the Bjork stalker case of Ricardo Lopez, only this is much worse because Rebecca's life was taken :(

I remember being so sad the night I found out on the local news channel. Went to a water park the next day, I felt like I lost a family member, it was a sad day...could not get it out of my head she died. I was young too...but, she would have been a very big star today. She was something else. I could not believe some dumb private detective gave her address for 250 dollars. No money is worth a life, and I don't care who you are, if anyone asked me for someones address there has to be much more context, like family members sure...but to a freaking stranger...so stupid. I would never give a stranger someone's address.

So sad her life had been cut short by a selfish fan!!!! :(

I actually found these. I bought a VHS tape of these episodes of One Life To Live off eBay about two years ago and transferred them to digital files. Glad you found them :)
